- JM Fortier gives an in-depth view on no-till and minimum tillage practices to in organic market gardening and and vegetable agriculture presented at the Living Soils Symposium in Montreal in October 2017.
Aloha JM! I have been using your techniques with on-site produced worm castings in a no-till system with no rotation planning and my yields are overwhelming. Thanks for inspiring a new generation of small scale successful farmers!!! Mahalos!
Amazing presentation! Really inspiring to see and hear about what JM is doing on his farms. He’s becoming a ‘guiding light’ more and more.
Merhaba JM, I have been listening to you for a while now and your information is a big help in setting my mind how to start my farm Turkey. Thank you for this video...
JM delivers ! Between JM & Curtis S. you pretty much have free consulting services to start & maintain your startup ! Thanks JM!
A man with a vision. Great work JM.
Fantastic video!! Your final weights explain the feeling of responsable person in this times! Thanks!
This is an awesome video JM, just starting to test this myself this year for soil regeneration on a plot in my City. Love the content and direction you inspire, thank you :-)
Great work. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this great information.
Great information and well presented. I can't wait to see what you learn from the compost tea project. You are helping so many market farmers and their consumers.
Last week I watched a couple of videos by Dr Elaine Ingham, the soil expert that JM refers to, and she explains that the *right* compost and the *right* compost tea solve a large array of issues and prevents that fertilizers are needed. Here is one of her videos: ruclips.net/video/xzthQyMaQaQ/видео.html
JM, I have been watching all your videos this winter and got your book for Christmas, I will be making a lot of changes this year and want to start some permanent beds, though we grow potatoes, cucumbers and winter squash conventionally and need to continue for market. I don't have a high tunnel yet, but I understand your methods and results. My question is, with the Ramial Wood Chips, though you are putting them in the isle for a year and then throwing up on the permanent bed, isn't there potential issue with using a Jang seeder on that bed? Thanks
Consider "SeaWeed" to add to your list of ingredients for your compost tea.
What is the name of the wood chips , or correct spelling? I would appreciate anyone who caught the name,I just couldn't understand the pronunciation
Ramial wood chips: wood chips made from hardwood branches, 2.5-inch diameter or less.

Thank you for the information and videos.
First I'd ask you, are you familiar with high Brix nutrient dense foods?
If so, have you achieved "high Brix" foods, which in storage, eventually dehydrate, but do not rot?
Are you familiar with:
- Dr. Carey Reams
- Dr. Northern
- Dr. William Albrecht
The "theory" is, high Brix, nutrient dense foods:
1. Do not rot
2. Are pest (insect, not four legged) resistant
3. Are disease resistant (like the human/animal body)
4. Are the best medicine for the human and animal body, being chelated bio-available major and micro mineral available)
Hey @Dan G ... The research farm JM works on is looking at Brix content studies I believe
Stilgar74
Thank you. I'll look into it.
yeah well Curtis is blabbing out that it doesn't work and there is no evidence. so i have no idea why JM is even involved with these symposiums. I don't think he should be - Curtis raggs out Elaine in one of his recent videos. If what Curtis is saying is not reflective of JM's opinions or that Curtis statements need clarifying I think it needs to be remedied.
I don't think overall from what I have seen coming out of curtis mouth that they agree with this. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them come out in favour of GMO soon enough the way things come out of Curtis mouth and his ability to look at REAL ON THE GROUND evidence of the elders practising such systems.
How does high canopy wood chip equal adding fungi to the soil? Hmmm.
Primary, secondary and tertiary fungi decomposers are fast working on broken down new tree growth ... you've got the internet and public libraries dude, use them ... just saying

I guess the use of the word "douche" is supposed to be an Americanism insult but it's still a pleasure to know that you are an Idiot no matter what ... no need for me to say anymore !
At 6:30 mark, how do you explain hydroponics then?
