Self-doubt was hitting me so hard lately and I was inspired by your vlog about your life at sea. I am also an aspiring seafarer, a graduating student and I am looking forward to my life at sea as well. Please continue spreading positivity. Godbless and sail safely always!
Great video ! You’re right sometimes our job is boring especially when your are in the middle of the ocean or endless sky, midnight shift and routine procedures. Continue making vid to encourage future shefarers.
Through videos like this I get to remember my days at sea as a Marine Engineer. I did come ashore after 17 years but you can never take the sea away from the sailor. Fair winds and calm seas Jy.
I realized that our life at sea will always be part of who we are. I'm thinking of getting my sailor's mark, so when I get old and wrinkly, I'll still have a remembrance of those good old, salt life. Thanks for the kind words, keep safe mate. God bless :)
Wow Jy, you are such an inspirational woman. This is the first time that I saw any of your vlogs. You are so focussed and committed to your career and ideals. Kudos to you! It must be tough to be the only woman on board and all the scepticism about your ability to do the job etc etc. I want to share your vlog with my stepdaughter to show her what we can all achieve in life with hard work, dedication and faith. I look forward to watching some more of your vlogs. Take care be strong.
You are a very special Lady, thank you for sharing some of your world. Wonderful that you speak of Peace, Hope and Love, all of these are characteristics of our sovereign Creator God and He has even more amazing plans for all who put their trust in Him. May you be safe in all your journeys!!
You did a very professional job on this video. I am 66 years old and live in Florida. I think it is fantastic that you are taking the challenge of life head-on. It is so interesting to watch what a normal day for you is like. Thanks also for the captions! I miss spending time in the Philippines. Hope this c-virus mess is over soon. I shared this Vlog to my Facebook page so other Filipina's can be inspired by you. Happy Trails
This was really good! I watched the whole video. Thanks for giving us a glimpse into your seafaring life as 3rd officer. Fascinating! God bless and keep safe.

I am amazed with your positive disposition in life. Keep it up. Faith , hope and love... but the greatest of these is love. Not many will enjoy your job but I like how you chose solitude over the noisy life in the land. Keep it up.
Pls. take care of your eyes. that's my problem when I'm a second officer in the container vessel. and always remember, earn fast, leave fast, and retire young. God bless.
I admire your courage, my dad worked for over 30 years as a marine engr. , but none of us 3 children ended up to work in the same field, even my dad discouraged me to be one, I hate the fact being in the sea, and away from family. Good luck to your endeavour! God bless n be safe. Jj from Canada
day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year even country after country had been passed and beautifully packaged in a job of being a sailor. And the time you have been waiting for has come for the holidays. Yayyyyyy 🤭🤭🤭🤭

For sure not everyone can stand this way of life! But you seem so lonely as if you were an alien to the crew and despite that keeping your spirits up... Hard job in a very special environment and probably even harder for a woman! I watched this video by chance: as a former pilot I am usually more interested in aviation but the oceans fascinate me although I can't help wondering how some people can choose such a diifficult job. I'm really impressed. All the best to you
Medyo nalate lang pero pinanood ko parin. Nakakatuwa kasi ang strong mo po, kitang kita sa mga galawan mo. Sana soon makapagbarko din ako kasi yun rin talaga ang pangarap ko. Ingat lagi ate, Godbless. ❤

You say :There’s nothing but the ocean and the horizon seems endless. I went to sea as a 15 year old in 1963, retired in 2010, but took some watches on a domestic ferry until four years ago. But what I miss most from my seagoing years is waking up, going up to the bridge, and see nothing but the ocean.
I really enjoyed your video thanks for share it! It made me remember when I was working onboard. I used to be like you! Thank you for your professionalism and your inspiration. I would like to be in touch with you!
