Hey mate, how does the flight model compare to the Freeware Bell 429? Or the DCS Huey? Thinking about getting this

Hello, I don't use bell 429 so I can't answer but I also flew dcs huey and its flight model is closer to the Nimbus UH-1H model. The 412 is a four rotor blade system and also without Sas engaged it is more stable in flight compared to dcs huey or nimbus, if hotas or flight sistem is fine set of course.

@@alfonsogiordano-72 Thanks! I'll most likely get it

@@aunzbs2359 DCS is way better in flight models and systems modelling for the price. I personally feel like at least two times better. I havent flown the B412 much in xplane, but i did fly it. And many systems are not modelled. Although DCS is usually very good at system modelling. However, if you specifically want B412, then Xplane is probably the best module out there. If you compare Huey to B412 ofcourse 412 has more systems and switches and gages etc. But I fly helicopters irl, and DCS heli modules feel legit (mi8, huey, ka52 etc). Xplane is good for for IFR practice, but system modelling lags behind a bit. IMHO

For example, DCS mi8 module has every overhead console switches modelled, they are all clickable. In mi8, they serve the purpose of circuit breakers. In xplane 412 however, the overhead CB panel is just there, nothing is clickable. For virtually the same price...

I would say the best heli module experience overall for me was DCS mi8 module. Although its a russian heli some may find old and boring, it is modelled 95% accurate to the real thing. And it comes with a nice campaign, and tutorials, and you can shoot rockets from it)) xplane is just not on par, however it is very useful for IFR practise!

Somewhere in my channel, there is the quatam river flight made with the 412 but by xp11, take a look of it, some scene were made internal

@@alfonsogiordano-72 Yeah man, I've tried that landing numerous times...I have trackIR now and just reloaded XP11 on the new rig. Other than DCS, I think XP11 is miles ahead of other sims. i have an old video of a few attempts at Quatam. Love that pad.
I haven't made the leap yet to XP12. Inlike my desert Orbx flights in the mountains of SoCal/NorCal. I'm sure I'll get there eventually but as of now, XP11 has the best model
