I'd love to see more of this covered in audio formats, I struggle with focus and often can't read bc of it, almost all my cryptid/scp/myths and legends etc info comes from videos lol
@@notaperson9831 I'm a big fan of their SCP videos and honestly would mind either them or TheVolgun picking up this series, definitely helped me get into the SCP fandom(?)
I love the genre of "unexpected business covered up by a unsuspecting business". This reminds me of the 2000's movie series where a guy was "a librarian" but he would go around trying to recover ancient, supernaturally powerful artifacts. Also reminds me somewhat of Teenage Bounty Hunters, since they worked on a FroYo shop as a cover for their bounty hunting gig. Last but not least, how the mail service in Men In Black was entirely run by aliens, even inside the machines. To me this feels kinda underutilized, so it's nice to see an unfiction project making use of the gimmick.
I like literally every aspect of what you're describing. I think it probably stems from, for me personally, being obsessed with spy movies as a kid in the 90s, and also the cartoons and toys I grew up with where they'd have a secret identity, a day job or an alter-ego.
Oh I know that librarian series! I don't remember what it was called but there was one episode about fairy tales, and another where I distinctly remember flies coming out of all of a person's face orifices. Yeah it was intense Edit: It's called The Librarians! It's on Prime video too
Okay, I started reading this tonight and it's obvious that the order they list things in isn't necessarily the reading order, but I have nothing else to go on. Is there any way you could let me know the meaning of the "o'clock" lingo in the receipts? (Please add spoiler space if you think that's necessary.) I've been able to glean most of the information just going along with it, but I have no idea what they're trying to infer when they talk about 1 o'clock, 5 o'clock, etc.
@@RabidDogma you may have already figure it out, but it's referring to the plane of Hell something comes from. 1 o'clock should be the top and 7 should be the bottom. If you look at the zodiac files, there's a list of all the planes in the correct order.
Check out Monster of the Week. It’s a table top rpg by Evil Hat. I learned about it through The Adventure Zone’s Amnesty arc if you want to hear a group play it.
This definitely sounds interesting, I might have to go and see it for myself. Look into some interesting different stories. Always did love the SCP Foundation Archives.
jamie, i believe that you are one of if not the most underrated arg / horror youtubers of all time, and you put so much work into your videos to make it enjoyable for us viewers. Keep up the hard work, i can just tell that there is another banger on the way!
Wholesome SCP foundation? Sounds quite nice. Less focused on being overtly "terrifying" and trying to me more mysterious. Something in a vibe of earlier Harry Potter books and films :v
You should absolutely cover the Magnus archives :oo it’s kinda similar to this and it seems to be a thing that inspired this project from what I can tell, the vibes are similar. It is an audio horror drama piece that documents a head archivist trying to sort out and tidy The Magnus Archives, within the Magnus Institute, London. Each episode documents an individual strange or scary occurrence or being and then the archivist’s thought on the events at the end of the episode and the story gets more clear as you listen to more and more episodes ! theres a second story in the same universe releasing later in the year too so it would be fun to see you discuss it as a refresher before the new content :DD
When will you post your standard videos again? There's nothing wrong with you making live videos, I just personally prefer standard videos over live ones.
Woah woah woah, TWO inside a mind videos within about three weeks of each other? If this is the new format I'm more than happy, love you content so much and your voice is perfect for this kinda thing. ^^
You know looking through a monocle kinda reminds me of using a rock, if I'm remembering that correctly, to see creatures and beasts from Spdierwick Chronicles
Im surprised no one's mentioned Welcome to Nightvale, though not necessarily horror its such a good mystery series! Id say more but its been so long since I've listened to it that I've forgotten certain bits. Anyone interested should definitely check it out !
The concept sounds pretty similar to the The Adventure Zone: Amnesty, where a bunch of people hunt cryptids in the town of Kepler, and are part of a secret organization of otherworldly beings that pose as a Lodging and Motel.
PLEASE cover "white door opened". It's the best youtube analog horror I've ever seen, but no one knows about it. The channel has less than 300 subs, ffs!
you probably won't see this, but hey!! you should do an update video on Omega Mart, there's a TON more lore now that its become popular. this channel was the reason why i got into Omega Mart, AND the the reason i got to visit for my graduation trip!!! there were so many brand new parts since i had seen your video that it felt like a whole new planet. id like to see your analysis on the story they're telling!!! i certainly couldnt figure it out. love you guys!!
It reminded me of Brazilian RPG called Ordem Paranormal, its about agents from and order fighting paranormal creatures that comes to our reality from "The other side", the first campaign even started on a coffee shop! LOL
I was listening to music and I somehow clicked on this video without knowing and I was like wow this song has a really long and interesting intro until I looked down at my screen and saw it was this video 😂 oh well might as well watch this it looks interesting 👀
I have been working on a show concept for nearly two years now called Deities and Cryptids where an organization would go out and stop events caused by these deities. Now you’re telling me there is something called Cryptids and Deities Archives. I know this doesn’t undermine my work in any way but it’s odd to see someone who has beaten you to the punch with a similar concept
ok, so, when is the next video about this? there is nothing that i love more than some chill dude telling me about criptids, for real, i dont want some creepy dude in some rp mood and scary music in the background, i have nothing against those type, but those arent my cup of tea, now your video on the other hand is very enjoyable, keep up the good work lad
"Guys we're going to speak in code OK?" First receipt: "We're going to get these cryptids and return them to the right plane of existence. Like Chupacabra....oh, uh, I mean, Mr. Perez....who's a Chupacrabra..." Is this an ARG for children?
"Might of been based in Longbeach California" Interesting, and fun fact since I lived close to the area Its mostly known for hosting quite alot of old naval bases along with Seal beach which it is close too! Another interesting factoid is remembering seeing these things everytime I drove down to Hunington beach with pop was the strange 'bunker-like hills' They're mostly made of dirt and triangular in shape but these are actual factual bunkers holding all kinds of naval nick knacks, weapons, w/e obviously dismantled but just held there for whatever reason. There's also a tale from my pop when his dad was in the navy and hard to say if they still exist: Tunnels winding around near the military bases near the coast line. These where made eons ago during ww2 in case of invasion/etc and these where made to discretely get from one area to another. Again, unsure if there are any still in operation one way or another but still fascinating to learn.
I have taken a look at the Year Zero because that is where you start the video and I would like to say that it definitely is interessting. The only thing I am unsure of is if Year Zero is actually the starting point, because though it is the first in the list and the first couple passwords only use info in the Year Zero archive, later passwords require you to slight spoiler ahead In between I would like to say that you should look at the Archive information at the top right for definition of puzzle description and to add to that character descriptions. look at much later archives, according to the wiki hints. Such that I actually got frustrated because I only researched online or in earlier reciepts and therefore did not understand the slightest of what the wiki hints was pointing at. Also one of those later archives also require password so it is a viscous cycle.
