Getting a flashback to "Firefly" in this "United Colonies" vs. "Freestar Collective." Will be interesting to see if they are just low level competitors or deep dive "us against them" situation. There's just this vibe of "control and regulation for the Greater Good" vs. "personal individualism; as long as you don't bloody anyone else's nose, go do your thing. Live Free." The general "Boys in Blue" and "Browncoat" color palette really gins the sensations up. (Obviously I was a huge Firefly fan. If this is a factor in game, I'm already leaning to the "sorta Brown" side.)

I kinda want to go for a, in it for yourself type character. Like I’ll join the UC Vanguard because I want to do military ship combat, which sounds amazing! But I also want to do missions for Ryujin Industries. Though it’s funny because their missions seem steal focused where as I’m interested in a run and gun style build with pistols and smg’s being my primary damage dealer. Hopefully quests are pretty open with your ability to complete them. Though I won’t be past doing some stealth when needed, I just always feel like in Bethesda titles stealth requires your entire build be dedicated to it and you’re basically stuck terminally being caught if not adequately perked up. Fingers crossed it all works out!
Will we be able to have multiple character going at the same time? Meaning different characters that I can play concurrently like having a smuggler but also having an explorer that I can play depending on my mood that day? Or is it like Skyrim with its nondescript save files?
I have a few pre orders for PS5 coming out this year but I know I won’t even play any of them because all my time will be invested into Starfield for a very very long time!
One thing i loved about skyrim, we had the dark brotherhood / wearwolf groups. they were forbidden and mysterious. i hope starfield has hidden groups. maybe we encounter one on a far away world. like some kind of cult..which turns you into some kind of lava fish.
Not many people have compared older games controls and play style to try work out things on starfield. Like in Skyrim shouts are limited, will the gravity powers be similar or will they work like an equipped weapon you just fire whenever. I hope they have decent lore and substance to missions and not shoot, collect, deliver. That being more for outside the main story, like side missions and hidden info
Wondering if you can/should start without a religion ... I could imaging that you can choose one at a later moment in time - every church is happy to have new sheep
Welcome to Bethesda games. You won't even notice all the many faults of this game once you realize how immersive it is. You should see Oblivion lol, the NPCs have come a long way since then
Constellation is essentially the Minutemen of Fallout 4. God.... I hate the Minutemen. Also just a heads up to everyone Emil Pagliarulo is the lead creative writer for this game... That's not a good thing. He was the same guy who did the main quest line for Fallout 3, Skyrim and yupp.... Fallout 4. If you have played those games the Main Quest line is the worst part in each of them. Not a good look. But maybe he's turned it around. Only time will tell. I just know his track record is not good.

I have like 4 distinct character ideas for gameplay and faction choice. Like a smuggler, a bounty hunter, a Captain, etc. It's going to be amazing!
The number of religions and factions you can join makes me have a huge morrowind feel and I love it
Imagine in 10 years how huge Starfield will be with the bazillion Nexus mods.
