ADVENTURE In A DESERT OASIS! Why you NEED to add Huacachina to your PERU Itinerary!
Our second stop on our travels around Peru took us to the incredible little Oasis town Huacachina, we knew we were going to a sandy desert with an oasis right in the middle but it seemed impossible that just a few hours outside of the busy capital city of Lima that this place would really be here. It is really cool to be able to drive right up and into a desert oasis which has a perfect circle of restaurants and accommodations around it.

Hadn’t realised why it was an oasis til I saw the footage! Amazing!
Could tell just how high the dunes were by your breathlessness - & you’re fit!
Also by the views which were were incredible. I had no idea it was in such a location!
Much needed relaxation & refreshing pool dip too I’m sure!
The dune & sand boarding certainly looked exhilarating ! Ssndboards lolked quite well designed - I recall ours in Oz were just bits of flat board, so they easily dug into the sand & with sun lotion on, we soon became sand coated!

travelling longer term, you really need to take rest days - we're pretty rubbish at this as there are always so many places to explore and adventures to be had!
