This was really worth it - my first TKL-sized keyboard and it has a certain charm about it - very nice typing feel and sound and it has a very high quality sturdy and hefty feel about it. I collect keyboards and mice and this is the only one which comes close in feeling like a 'serious' mechanical keyboard.
great review, one thing that i noticed with my Asus ROG Strix Scope II 96 keyboard is that the number row doesnt have illuminated special charaters like it is shown in the video. The keycaps have the special characters printed instead. Is there a reason why?
Did the dampening foam go back to normal after you put the spacebar stabilizer back? I've noticed you had pushed it to the sides. After removing my spacebar keycap and replacing it with the rog fancy one it now rattles on the right side. I'm just wondering how easy it was to remove the spacebar stabilizer, does it permanently damage the dampening foam?
I noticed that on my USA version, it came with the doubleshot pbt keycaps. However, with the pbt keycaps, the secondary function legends on the number keys and the legends printed on the sides of the keycaps do not light up with the RGB like yours do. I think it's something to do with being PBT? How have your ABS keycaps held up now that it's been almost a year since you've reviewed the keyboard? I'm looking at importing a version of this keyboard that comes with ABS to get those legends to light up, but wonder about the durability. The PBT is quite nice I must admit. Thanks
Hey, nice review. I have one question tough, can you map the wheel or some other keys to multimedia control? Not just pause but skip to next or go back a track.
you can toggle the function by pressing the rog button. in the multimedia mode you can go previous or next by scrolling the wheel and pause by pressing it
It's a fantastic keyboard. The only thing that needs changing is those atrocious keycaps with the edgelord font. I talked to Kailh. The switches are made by them but the switch design (including stem walls) is made by ASUS. They are not available separately or via another Kailh name. If anyone wonders. :)
so how do you like the keyboard so far?? i got myself an epomaker 96 about 10 months ago and already having issues with it so thinking about going back to mainstream brands
@chaver28 So far, it's very good. I don't like loud, clicky sounds, but this one has a low, dampened sound, which is excellent. Also, the RGB lights are very good and useful in a dark room.
Bro can u link me to a vid guide on how to change stabilizers for this keyboard. I have searched a lot of times, but your review has been closest to changing stabilizers. Thanks!
I love your vids, but I still also hate these uglyass oldschool low profile cases with their oem height keycaps 😂. these big gaming brands just don't want to adjust the look of them and charge more than the cooler, better looking budget keebs we have lying around.😅 I'm surprised they're still getting sales. Still, +1 like.❤
Thank you for appreciating my videos. I agree with all your points. The thing is, there is still a market space for mainstream "gaming" keyboards and I don't think the Republic of Gamers will change the way their keyboard look, or at least some parts of it like the keycaps and fonts. But I do appreciate that from time to time, they are listening and trying to add more of that "enthusiast-level" features like the sound dampeners, hotswappable sockets, etc. that otherwise not present on old ROG keyboards. Especially if you look at the ROG Azoth which is kind of targeted towards keyboard enthusiasts as well. And they are also ever so slightly making their keyboards more minimal in terms of design compared to before. Still, I want them to ditch the ROG stabilizer and offer high profile case design. hehee

This was a fantastic review!!!
I'm glad you are saying things you don't like. Pointing out a few things you don't like about the design proves it's a more honest review.
great video actually, thnx
Amazing video! Great review!!
Finally a type of keyboard i've been waiting for ASUS Rog to release. Love that it's hotswappable too!

Did you receive the model with the PBT keycaps?
Yes, I did. Is it only the ABS keycaps that have the illuminated special characters?

@TechBrollhow do you connect your asus strix scope II 96 wireless to your asus account to adjust the settings of it?

5:50 If i were you, I'd remove those clippers that are bending out like that on the stem 😂

This one looks great! Is there modes for people who are allergic to rgb and just set up the keyboard to be white backlit?
You can change the backlight to whatever colour you want
I ended buying one 2nd hand and its a GREAT keyboard, nice and quiet switches that feel nice. And yeah i turned the rgb to white..
Perfect
Galing ni bro! 🎉
Suggestions of a similar sounding/feeling switch to the NX Snow? I think a big part of its sound profile is the POM bottom housing.
I ordered ASUS ROG Strix Scope II Wired NX Snow Switch, not 96 version. Are they the same beside compact and wireless?
so how do you like the keyboard so far?? i got myself an epomaker 96 about 10 months ago and already having issues with it so thinking about going back to mainstream brands

Excellent, I need a numberpad
It has a numberpad
Did you try pairing the Harpe Ace Mouse with the OMNI receiver? How was it? How does it work?
so if i want to use this for low latency and beat response time i can use wired instead of wireless i assume its not fully wireless
Should totally check out Razer's 75% one - excellent surprise from the company
You earn a subs. 👌 outstanding review straight to the point and very quality content
5pins/3pins compatible? Can we exchange the stabilisers? I did not really get it.
Sir my option po kasi na refined clicky and refined linear. Ano po kaya mean nun.
MY keyboard is not showing in asus software .. can tell me why
Ok this baby looks awesome. BUT!!! CAN I MOD IT? Like add sorbothane foam for extra silence.
Maybe
Everything on the keyboard looks good, just that ugly font bothers me.
do low profile switches work with this keyboard?
No, the pins on low profile switches are laid out differently than standard switches
You really play with your pinky that cramped up? Never seen that before in my life haha
Can u switch keycaps with rx switch keycaps
Thank you
Can you use it wired?
Yes

Very nice
is the spacebar rattly or solid?
do any one eles see the fly

The stabs they have aren't proprietary, just saying.
