My earlier comment was before I used steam roast (my favourite function!) I now put my chicken on the rack with 250ml water in the bottom and put my potatoes in the gaps around it then after 55 mins I remove the chicken and potatoes cover in foil and a clean towel (just for kitchen use) to rest the chicken while to do the veg. There’s normally enough water still in the bottom to pc the veg in the basket. I then actually use the water too and add gravy granules but not sure if that’s recommended but it tastes good with the juices from the chicken and vegetables!

Pen which do you prefer cosori pressure cooker or ninja 15:1. I sent my 11:1 back as developed a crack. Bought cosori and like it apart from residual smell. It’s much easier to use than ninja.
But i do miss the steam bake and steam air fry.
Is the ninja 15:1 worth it.
Is there any point having both?
I mainly want it for cooking meat and then the carcass for soup.
Also would buy the stainless steel bowl. The link you sent me 😉
    Cheers Pen

      Both have great points.
I love the completely flat base of the Cosori
I like the automatic seal and the fact that when releasing the pressure you are nowhere near the vent .
But the extra functions on the 15in1 sell it for me

I am trying to do a Christmas pudding in the 15 in 1 (pressure cook)
I am ising a 2 and half pint pyrex dish
Wanted to know how to pressure cook
    Do i do on high/ quick/natural release
    How much water.
Not surenif you can help me. I have looked everywhere nobody seems to know xxx

Hello Lynn , sit your covered pudding basin on a trivet .
Add about 3cm water to the pot .
Cook on HI pressure for 2- 2.5 hrs . The longer it cooks the darker it will get
Let it release pressure naturally .
Leave until cool and store as normal
To reheat cook on HI pressure for 30 mins

Season the beef well, sit on a rack .
Set the dehydrate temp to 60c .
When it is at temp air fry for 5 minutes .
Remove from the pan , sit on a plate and cover with foil .

    • @inthekitchenwithpenn1

Hi Lynne, you could slow cook it in the ninja ,,I'd seal it first then add some chopped veg and sit the lamb on top .
If you have the 15in1 then season and seal your lamb , insert the probe and cook to 65c using the manual setting. When cooked remove to a plate and cover loosely with foil to rest .

My Ninja arrived yesterday but I haven’t tried cooking anything yet - but the pressure cooker know seems very loose. Is that how it’s supposed to be? Yikes. I have 3 models of the Ninja foodi, 2 regular and the XL multi cooker and none of mine make any sound at all. I watch a RUclips chef who uses all Ninja products, she uses the same you have and it's quiet also. I'd contact Ninja you may have a faulty fan, or worse.

@inthekitchenwithpenn1 Thanks for your response, Glad it's not faulty, my first one I got I was so busy doing too many things at once I STUPIDLY removed the pot to put in the stainless, (but didnt yet) walked over with a measuring cup of 3 cups broth and poured it in without the pot! Ruined it, so had to order a new one, Ninja says many people do that, they were nice and gave me 50% off a replacement. I love cooking in the Foodi and your chicken recipe is on my list, it looks wonderful. Thank you

What a lot of noisy faffing about. You could put all the ingredients for a roast chicken dinner in an oven and cook the together. Another gadget no one really needs.

I’m an old bloke ex army I live alone have done for many years and live off microwaved food , though I do have a very cheap air fryer I bought years ago , I decided I have so much time on my hands I am sure I could do so much more with these modern Ninga fryers my problem was which one ? Very nearly bought the dual zone one , but decided even though I ever used steam , pressure cooker I’ll give it a go and now I’m gonna buy one of these 15. 1 maxi cooker you made it look so easy even for a non domesticated bloke like myself , thank you !!

Paul , thank you so much for your lovely words . I'm an old girl so if I can get to grips with the ninja I know you can.
I'm a bit of a ninjaholic but I think the best allrounder is the 15in1 .
You can batch cook and freeze in portions for ready made home cooked meals for those days when you just can't be bothered .
I do have a Facebook group with lots of recipes on that you'd be very welcome to join facebook.com/groups/377994946206996/?ref=share_group_link

What is the point of moving the camera all the while! It would have been so much better just to focus on the machine and surrounding cooking area. Also what is the point of parboiling the potatoes? I thought the idea was to cook everything in the machine and save on energy. A very poor video
