This might be the first time a tutorial teaches something new and really useful instead of just repeatting the same old-known color theory ideas. I'm amazed. Suscribed and liked.
Thank you Francisco! So glad you enjoyed it!
Choosing a good color palette is the hardest thing for me. Thank you for this useful trick and the little bit of color theory.

another mystery revealed (vintage colors) cheers!
😯 When you press cmd D, the duplicated shape automatically appears next to the right edge of your previous shape?
How come? Did you customize your keyboard shortcut? Please share the secret. 🙇🏻♀️
Funny the ad was for Wix. Do it yourself website. They assume everyone is a designer. Im on 3.5 when I place overlay it does not appear like this. Instead it shows the grey color on white around the swatch and the colors are super vivid. In fact when I move the overlay on the white bg its showing sold color not matter what blend mode I use! This a bug in 3.5?
This happened for me too, did you find a fix?
Curious about the answer to this. I see the same thing as Stunami and Tilda.
I too am having the same problem the colors dont change on the rectangle background changes.
Doesn't work in Illustrator. Ctl C doesn't copy and the eyedropper tool only picks up the top color - Magenta Overlay.
Many Sketch shortcuts are different in Adobe Illustrator. Try the letter i to select the eyedropper tool in Illustrator.
@@josephatodaro As I said in my first comment, it's the Eyedropper Tool (i) that will only pick up the overlying color. If I figure something out. I'll leave a comment. Thanks for writing back, tho.
@@timventura I see what you're saying now. The part about Ctl C threw me off. Yes the Illustrator eyedropper grabs the properties of the layer the click rather than optically sampling the color of combined layers. That's always bugged me.
please organise your videos to lists
Freaking genius. ::facepalm moment::
