Thank you so much this video saved my life and me returning mirrors for no reason, I have a 2017 Honda cb300f and The handlebar complexion is the exact same thing I could not figure it out for the life of me you saved me thank you again
i love you man for this video i just got some bad end mirrors and i didn’t have a clue what i was doing out of all the videos this was the most informative thank you a lot man you saved me a big ass headache
Lmao. I just subbed to your channel because of your sprocket and chain replacement vid. I random search in RUclips because I think I’m the first clever guy to put bar end mirrors on my cbr300r but hoping I’m not so I can see what size to buy. Thanks for the vid man.
Nah, I bought them from a triumph dealership. The part numbers are in the description though. You can either take the part numbers to a dealership or put them in ebay or something and they might be there.
Hey brother, do you know of any fender eliminators that don’t need you to cut the wiring? Or do you have a tutorial for install? I’ve never done wiring and it makes me quite nervous to cut anything. Thanks, and great vids!
I do have a video on the fender eliminatior. If you go to my CB300R playlist, it's in there. I think the video is called "Installing an oggy knows tail tidy" or something like that. From what I can remember, there is no wire cutting required.
Oh I did watch that one previously. Then I realized since I’m in Canada I can’t get Oggy Knobs!!! I’ve looked everywhere, but no one ships here for some reason. Any ideas? That tail tidy looks so good, would really like to get my hands on one. Every product here needs me to cut, this is the first one I’ve found that doesn’t. I appreciate your help, thanks again.

How would you feel about shipping one to Toronto area, if it’s not too pricey? Would reimburse and send extra for your troubles. We can talk via email if you’d be interested. Been on the search since last year and can’t find any with no cutting here or US. Thanks man, have a good weekend!
Put the screw in, grip the screw with long pliers with your left hand. With your right hand wack the pliers with a hammer. Comes out without the aggravation.
I'm not sure of the inside diameter. The after market mirrors usually have an expanding bolt thing so if you get any if those, you shouldn't have a problem.
@@onecolektiv Yeah thats what I thought. I tried that to no avail. I even tried to hammer down the nut into the tubes and screwing that back onto the screw but it would still have wiggle room inside the bar (I saw that your one went in quite snugly). I guess you never know with Ebay mirrors. I'm thinking about trying to wrap the tubes with some rubber bands to fill the wriggle room so that it can tighten up inside the tube what do you think?
Does the handle bars feels shaky when going for speed? Because you remove the weights and put the bar end mirror. I went to a mechanic and he said the handle bars will be shaky if i go fast. So i didn't put it in yet.
Thanks! I was going to do the gear indicator video but they are a bit to expensive. The things I have planned for this bike, I'm probably not going to need one either. But if I find a cheap one I'll do a video. 👍
Indeed you are correct. But function doesn't always come before style. Until it does anyway. I've since put the stock mirrors back on because of that very reason.
@@onecolektiv Ah I see. I'm sure there are cool aftermarket mirrors that you can use on the stock mirror mounting holes anyway. I bought some NeverlandBack mirrors for my Grom and they look much better than the stock ones, and it allows me to keep the bar weights in place.
I haven't found any as of yet that will fit the standard mounting position. I am working on a theory that im going to test in a future video though. Hopefully that pans out.
hey there! 1. How did the vibration change? Was it significant? 2. wasn't it possible to keep the weight inside the handlebar and just using the screws? Thanks
Even I am sceptical about removing the weights off the handlebar. There def will be vibrations above certain rpm. I installed lever guards once and didn't like the feel without the bar weights.

Thanks for showing the difficulty so we know what to expect. Looking forward to more videos.
No worries at all. Make sure you click the notification bell to keep updated 👍

You're very welcome 👍
This has to be the biggest pain-in-the-ass mod for this bike.
Indeed it is.
Thank you for posting. Very helps.

Just to let you know take off your grips and heat up the bar loosens the glue inside mate
Great video! Do you have link for the bar end mirrors?

amazing 🤩
Great effort 👏 🏍 Looks very neat.
Thank you!
Thanks man props to you. That did not look easy! By the way how does it ride now without the bar end weights ? Notice any difference at all?
It has a fair bit more vibration. But it's tolerable if you're not riding for hours on end. Thanks for the continued support 👍

Shoot me a message on Instagram. I'm sure I'd be able to sort something out for ya.

what size does the inside of the bar have? not sure what mirrors I would need
I'm not sure of the inside diameter. The after market mirrors usually have an expanding bolt thing so if you get any if those, you shouldn't have a problem.
When i try tighten the screw the expanding mechanism keeps rotating with me and so nothing happens. What do i do?
I just held it till it was kinda tight, then I just put it in the bar and did it up.

Maybe add some tape on the mirror adapter. Might help.

Nah they don't shake at all. With the triumph, you're only removing the end caps, not the weights.
What size are those btw?
Not sure to be honest. I don't have the bike anymore.
Did you have any issues taking the screw off? Mine are completely stuck in there
Initially yes. I gave them a few taps with a hammer and screwdriver, and the loosened them up.
OneColektiv what about vibration in the handle bars with the weight out, do you notice a difference?
At highway speeds there is a noticeable difference, but under normal urban riding it's not to bad.
Amazing video once again. Are you also doing any video installing a gear indicator? :) Thank you.
Thanks! I was going to do the gear indicator video but they are a bit to expensive. The things I have planned for this bike, I'm probably not going to need one either. But if I find a cheap one I'll do a video. 👍
Isn't the point of those bar weights to reduce vibration? Seems like they should remain in place since Honda designed it that way.
Indeed you are correct. But function doesn't always come before style. Until it does anyway. I've since put the stock mirrors back on because of that very reason.

@@vintagerealityvr just did. They got some nice stuff!

They vibrate a fair bit. I didn't try keeping the dampeners inside the handlebar so I'm not sure.

Is it legal?
As far as I know it is. Im pretty sure they are happy as long as you have Mirrors.
OneColektiv true
Do it properly, gets out adjustable spanner haha
technically, you only need one on the driver side
I was gonna get some, but think I’ll pass now.
remove this thing = more vibrations
btw I push it in
That's not a bad idea. I'll keep that in mind next time. Thanks.
How did you push it in? Do you have a video?
How to take off useful item and throw on a useless item 101
Hahaha indeed sir. If only the youtube algorithm worked that way, I totally would rename the video this.
Thiam lo eeee
I removed the inner bars quite simply with WD40... came right off.
I actually feel dumb for not thinking of that.
Dude you’re a legend I was
Trying to get the bar out for 3 hours
