I remember seeing someone who said “There should be a game where you play with your friend, and at the end the both of you should fight,” Well here it is
Both were sad endings, particulary Leos death. That ending is even more heart breaking when you see Leos facial expression when they hold hands for the last time. Although his friend betrayed and shot him, he still has a grin left for him, meaning that he still sees him as a friend, he forgives him, he still respects him. Friendship and brotherhood can be really beautiful things in life.
I think the point is you have to choose, if you had the option that everyone wants then obviously everyone would pick it. What makes a story more "impactful" to the player is forcing them to make a tough decision between two undesirable yet justifiable outcomes.
@@Nastydream69 Or maybe if Vincent simply knocked Leo out with the back of the gun, arrest Leo, reduce Leo's charges, then eventually bail him out, that could've worked as well.
@@DeathDiety365 the devs didn't write the story. That's the diractors fault for letting it happen that way, it was for dramatic effect and to have an ending other than jail
Being honest here but I think the saddest of the two endings is when Leo dies. Linda is completely shattered, even falling to the floor from the emotional stress, she also has to explain to Alex that his father is never coming home. And Leo was all she had apart from Alex. Don’t get me wrong the ending where Vincent dies is sad too but Carol really didn’t seem too upset about it, yes she has to raise a child all by herself now but the baby won’t have to endure the same emotional stress as what Alex would have to. And Vincent left her to go and get revenge while Leo was just trying to do what was best for his family. And I see a lot of people commenting that there should be an ending where both live, but don’t forget the game is called “A Way Out” which I believe is hinting towards the fact that only one person gets out of their situation, like Vincent getting out of the bureau to be a better father and husband, and Leo getting out of the crime world and being a better father, husband, and man altogether. On another note, it is an incredible game that was developed with amazing amounts of detail and care.
The thing with Vincent death ending is that Leo didn't get to face with Carol and explained what happened so it has a less impact to Leo death version.
There is no good or bad ending. There's only one way out: Either Leo lives and stops his life as a criminal and becomes a better human or Vincent lives and ends his job to become a better husband and father.
Leo's ending is the far better ending, cause, even though his daughter will grow up without a father, she will still grow up with the possibility of a good life. Leo's death will mean his son will have a really crap life and, most likely, end up on the wrong side of the law, like his dad. he could choose to try and make a good life, but the odds are against him, due to how things went down with his father. I guess it will all depend on his mother and what cards fate deals him going forward. Just doesn't look good. So, yeah, all things considered, everyone would have done better if Vincent died and Leo lived.
Vincent said he was a banker. Yet he knew how to strip that gun pulled on him by that lady. And he knew parachuting. These red flags made me think Vincent was not who he said he was. Possible military background, etc.
@@WritersMoment Nah but there was a piece of dialogue right before the movie theatre where vincent reveals to a homeless guy that he's never been in the military. great foreshadowing
The second Vincent unlocked the car door with Leo looking at him all like "And you're a banker?" Got me thinking, why does a banker know how to jack open car doors via lock and pick?
A way out 2 Leo s son Kills Vincent A way out 3 Vincent s Daughter kills Leo s son this world it s based on sadness even if they both live someone still gets hurt i mean leo goes to jail and vincent home and this it s not a good ending
@@gabrielsiberianrifleman7358 or maybe leo's son try to kill Vincent's daughter and for some romance and to end this shit he will fell in love with her and marry her or another ending where he will kill her and her father :v
The Vincent ending I think has the biggest gut punch. No words, just reaching out and taking his hand in his last moments. Also there should be an ending choice where you don't have to shoot one another imo. It makes it seem like that's an option.
If they both survive it would get rid of the emotion and sadness and that would just ruin qhat they were trying to do, which was build up a friendship but then severing it leaving a hole in our hearts
@@helloperson7589 best ending would've been Vincent saying ok i'll be writting this letter for my wife but actually giving a plan for leo. waking him up while we didn't see it was for his wife pretend he gave it to him secretly and let him read the plan when they got off vincent failing at his shooting and stuff and leo trying to still escape when they arive both alone flash back to when vincent woke leo up and you see him shove the letting to leo and leo read it with a plan in mind they drop guns and he let's leo leave. goes back to the girl and tell her he wasn't able to follow him and he ran away in the end it would've been a double jaw dropper and an even better ending
I honestly wouldn't have the ending of this game any other way. The way the game makes both characters out to be flawed but ultimately worth saving makes the final battle all the more impactful and a hell of a lot more engaging. This was an amazing experience and one of my personal favourite games.
you know what could have made for a happy ending? Vincent NOT giving chase in a helicopter, or rather, when they`re alone in the warehouse, just say. "fine, go, go, i will say you were too fast for me.". just... let Leo go. you live, he lives, no child is orphaned, and if he escapes he'll either get away with his family or another cop will catch him. of course if the cops were smart they would have arrested BOTH of them at the plane, and let Leo believe they got caught. but then that would undercut DRAMA and TRAGEDY.
Yeah, that was definitely a "drama" trope to out Vincent right there instead of after they were locked down. Vincent had plenty of opportunities to let Leo go without having it come back on him.
Yeah, the fact that they made the ending forced bittersweet no matter what was this game's biggest fault. The very end when Vincent/Leo is aiming the gun, there should just be an option to put the gun down (or throw it off the roof or something,) and just walk away. Especially in Vincent's case, because it makes literally zero sense that he'd go from not wanting to kill Leo shortly before to being fine with it.
Yeah. If I was Vincent and I had to shoot Leo, I would shot at his leg(s), crippling his way to escape. Then I throw the gun away and prevent him from escaping until backup arrives. I know its not fair to put him into jail after all he were through, but thats MY choice and it's still more merciful than killing him.
14:11 When I played this game with my brother and I saw both of their health bars appear, I started crying. Friends became foes. I paused the game and wiped my tears away for about a minute and continued. I still wept.
What I think is wild is they spend so much time developing an emotional connection to Leo by having you spend legit time with his family because now in the end Leo dying leaves you emotionally hurt but Vincent dying plays on your morality because Vincent is doing technically the right thing. Leo is a legit hardened criminal but he was so humanized in the game. Basically either way your emotions or morals are being hella pulled on and it's just absolutely masterful the way the developers made this game and story
I like Leo's ending more. Even though he was a criminal, he still had a life. Alex was old enough to realize that he lost his dad in Vincent's ending. Vincent's ending doesn't feel right, the person that Leo trusted ends up killing him and he will never see his son again.
I was the same age as Alex on here when I lost my Father. And just seeing the end when he killed Leo and Alex heard his mom cry just made me cry because it reminds me of when my dad passed away
I cried at the ending where Leo was alive and gave the letter to Vincent's wife, it broke my heart. There are not many games that make me cry, but this one did and it's one of the the best, the story telling and everything around it is well done.
Leo's death was so much sadder than Vincent's. One reason being his son could actually understand he was gone forever, when Vincent's daughter couldn't. Also, Carol didn't seem nearly as upset as Linda. I played this game with my brother and at the beginning (before we even started the game) i said “i bet one of us is going to die”. i hate being wrong but i wish i had been wrong. this game made me angry, laugh, and cry. This is one game i’m going to remember.
The respect with the hand grab at the end gets me. That last moment where they last will see each other and the music used just pulls at the heart strings. What an amazing game
Brilliant fucking game. Great references to a lot of good movies, great characters and solid stories. I liked how the game put the players against each other towards the end.
I feel like the dialogue writing was shoddy in some areas. The pure incredulity of some of the situations and the sudden incompetence of the cops adds to it. But the plot twist was definitely good. They had hinted at it slightly, from his demeanor, the taste in shitty hawaiian shirts he shares with his brother. But overall its still a big positive for me.
I love how a game can make you feel what the characters feel, and for my play through, that was quiet literate. When the twist came, (I was Vincent, my friend was Leo) I was in shock and he was in anger. During the entire fight scene I didn’t want to kill him while he wanted to ring my neck. In the end I won, and I felt fucking awful
Lmao I just beat it with my friend, I was Leo he was Vincent. We were both shocked but I definitely wanted my revenge for his betrayal of me. I got my revenge to say the least. I felt great at first after shooting Vincent but only after when he was reaching out to hand me the letter did I truly take in what happened and felt bad.
Same to me. But with my cousin . he was Leo , i did not want to figth him and even tried to just leave him off alive or find a way. In the end , i didnt crawl to grab the gun, i felt like i just needed to do that.
I just look this up because I finished playing with my boyfriend I was been sent he was Leo and I said I don't want to kill him I don't want to but if it comes down to me and you I will kill you and in the end after seeing Leo's ending on this video I wish I had let Vincent die
I was Vincent and my girlfriend was Leo. No words were said until we got to the roof. The sheer emotion the both of us were feeling, knowing we just went through our favourite co-op game; enjoying all the mini games as if we were brothers only to have the rug pulled out from us and for us to be our last antagonist. The fact that at the end, my girlfriend gave up, even after shooting my character to low health and letting Vincent walk away made it so much more sad, as she gave Leo's life for Vincent's. Neither one is the "correct" choice, and her and I were utterly speechless when the ending scenes played. It was bittersweet, the standout moment being the no-words talk between Linda and Vincent. No words were needed to convey that pain. I think in any art form, be it movie, game or painting; if it can evoke such emotion from people who experience it, despite its flaws, you've made a timeless work of art.
Leo's ending is better and more satisfying for these reasons: as Leo mentioned, it had already been Leo and Linda against the world since he was 12 years old. As an orphan, he had already been put in a harsh world in which his parents betrayed him. Finding Linda and finally having someone to trust influenced the strength of their bond. This is why their relationship was portrayed as so unconditional and loving. Vincent's relationship is much less stable however, with his selfish incentives prevailing over the benefit of his family. Vincent uses Leo for his own selfish cause and betrays him as soon as he doesn't need him. For Leo, the underdog in life who has been mistreated by life while still managing to do what he could for his family, to be betrayed by one of the only people he could trust, who happened to be a selfishly motivated cop, is a very unsatisfying and anti-climactic ending to an otherwise good story. Being a cop does not make someone a good person, and considering the conditions the two characters, Leo was doing his best to get by while Vincent only ever cared about himself.
But Leo is putting his family in constant danger and raising his son badly. It’s fine if it’s just Leo and Linda against the world but then he starts ignoring his responsibilities as a father. Vincent’s character had always been about responsibilities and stuff and he gave Leo the chance to live on the roof top, it’s more 50/50 I think.
@wallow Vincent's "responsibilities" involve endangering the life of your brother for the sake of tackling a criminal, sabotaging and ruining his own family relationship for selfish goals and betraying someone who saw them as practically a best friend for the sole purpose of your own personal "revenge quest" which was partially your fault in the first place. Vincent did give Leo a chance to stand down, but you do realize as soon as the cover was blown he gave up any and all care for Leo as a person and proceeded to act more robotic as a person than the god damn Robocop. Vincent deserved the bullet he got. A traitor's reward.
trollzland1337 His brother was a fucking cop too jackass, he agreed to go into there it's not like Vincent could force him onto the operation, npr could he see the fucking future and see Harvey spray his brains on a car hood. What relationship did he sabotage? He and Carol were clearly close to being infertile their relationship was already falling apart like a lot of other infertile couples. His motives weren't even slightly selfish, anyone would want to go after the fucker who killed a member of their family. They weren't best friends, Leo was going to bail on him and go to Linda and Alex with the diamond the second he could. Also none of it is personal revenge, the same shit would have happened just with a different cop you dumb fuck which again isn't his fault since A. His brother volunteered knowing the risks of going undercover and B. He didn't have a crystal fucking ball to tell him what would happen to his brother. What YOU fail to realize is that Vincent did care enough to mention the fact that he was going to fight to lower Leo's sentence! They never made a deal before hand he didn't have to say that nor would he have to do it in the first place! But nonetheless he fucking did. You think way too fucking little of him you filthy rat.
Cherokee Roses Nah, because when you start you think it’s referring to the prison. And it kinda is but it’s totally about the two characters wanting a way out of the lives and situations they’re on. One Way Out would’ve been too spoilery if you ask me
Santo Tan not really betrayal.. vincent was a member of the force from the start.. if he choose to went and side with leo.. he would be betraying the police force
+Jack Lee Jun Bao : It's still technically betrayal since Leo thought Vincent was someone he could have trusted. Dude, they saw each other's personal lives. At least it was "real" for Leo while Vincent may realize he was just on a job. Shame there really is no neutral ending as OP said.
Unravel well its vincents job to show his life.. he would be betraying his dead brother and the police force and the entire nation if he sides with leo
Jack Lee Jun Bao nobody has to know he’s sided with Leo... Leo didn’t kill his brother. Vincent wanted the stone thingy and to kill Harvey. And He got that. Why can’t he let Leo go and tell the police he got away. He was retiring anyway.
This game is just.... I have no words... it's better than any game or movie I have ever seen... This masterwork brought me to tears multiple times.. I just cant believe this game is so.... wow
My friend and I just finished our playthrough. I was Vincent, and he was Leo. He ended up winning in the end, and we were both touched by the ending. Then we looked up Vincent's ending. And it was just as heartbreaking...what an experience.
I was Leo and my friend was Vincent, he got to the gun first after we were both pleading with eachother for ourselves to win. He sat there for a minute aiming the gun at me before finally pulling the trigger
People don’t understand how much Vincent and leo’s handshake meant when Vincent lives. It wasn’t just some weak way to end it. That handshake was their way of saying, It didn’t have to be like this, but it is what it is. Farewell partner.... Farewell.... friend.
Such an underrated game. Best co-op experience for sure. I found this ending way more impactful then some of the bigger games like RDR2. I can’t wait to see what these developers make next. They love making emotional experiences.
Eddie Cardwell Red Dead Redemption s game is big for a reason, it’s got a wonderful story, and their ending is far better than this one in many peoples opinion and mine aswell ;/
@@idekanymore7494 I disagree with you RDR2 nothing compared to this one this is far better but maybe because it's lack of graphic and sandbox reduce it
everything about this game makes it great. Soundtrack,Gameplay,Character development.Plot. I just love it. Especially the suspenful drop when leo and vincent would grab eachothers hands. Beautiful game. The Devs deserve many awards.
Leo: -Loving marriage -Son who knows him -Did what he needed to, to support his family -Criminal Vincent: -Dying marriage -Baby has no clue who he is -Traitor -Manipulator -Selfish -Faked being in prison just so he could arrest a guy when his wife needed him Vincent dying is the ideal ending
Ogre Scorp Vincent wanted to save his marriage and raise his kid so he still had things he wanted to accomplish in life. He only betrayed Leo since he didn’t cooperate with the cops once he was caught. He didn’t manipulate anyone, Leo also wanted to get Harvey. He also wanted to finish that one last job in honor of his dead brother then quit to raise his kid
Beta Red and also you need to remember, without LEO he COULDNT avenge his brothers death. They killed harvey TOGETHER, mission finished. Right there he couldve ended his career gloriously as a cop hero and raise his kid, and then what did he do? Backstab the guy who came to accompany him VISITS HIS DAUGHTERS BIRTH.. yeaaa real awesome vincent, your brother must be proud. They practically saves each others life all the time, vincent should try to go kill harvey by himself, he'd probably die in front of the theater to a guy with silencer pistol.. leo would probably rather die than going back leaving jack in prison. Which something that Vincent try to do to leo.. sadistic motherfuck
Reisha Ananda Vincent wouldn’t go after Harvey by himself, he’d be with his partner cause he’s a cop and he couldn’t just let a diamond thief go. Also, was he supposed to betray his other friends and get arrested too? Vincent didn’t even want to fight Leo and offered to fight for a reduced sentence
So I was playing this with my Brother and we went out of our way to make Leo and Vince best buds. We constantly competed in every mini-game and we even took as far as saying that Alex should call Vince Uncle V and he would be Uncle L to Vince's daughter . The we were hit with this ending. that hurt.
Spider Pig Vincent had his brother murdered right in front of his own eyes and the only way to get to Harvey was through Leo. What Vincent did was completely understandable. You can tell Vincent treated Leo like family and was trying to reason with him. He would have vouched for him to leave prison much early but instead Leo was so angry he couldn’t see. What is Leo going to do? Keep running? How would that affect his family in the long run? Both characters did bad and good but they definitely had a reason for what they did and none of them are bad. It’s called a realistic ending because life isn’t all about happy endings.
I love how you can see the regret on their faces as if they wished there was another 'way out' of the dilemma they were in and they really wished they couldve stayed friends and been bros together. This was so depressinv for me and my friend. The music is also amazing. This game was short but it was still one hell of an adventure. 😢😭😫😣😔
"Fantastically written" Niether of the characters had any real personality, and all of their dialogue was strictly functional with not a single hint of flair. It was completely dross, start to finish.
Leo deserved to live, no question. His wife had nothing but him, and now she is alone. No one could ever replace or be as close to Leo for her as he was. And his son will have a hard upbringing now.
Ethan Does Things but then Vincent’s child would be left without a father figure. With no memories of him. Whereas Leo’s son already experienced having a father
I love that even after betraying Leo, Vincent offers his hand to him, and Leo accepts it. So he doesn't have to feel completely alone as he dies, even after all that's happened between them. I'm crying again.
I think Leo's death was much more sad than Vincent's death. When Leo was going to die, He actually reached out to him and held hands even with a small smile on his face. He still considered him a friend after all Vincent did backstabbing him. Leo's a true bro
For all the guys that are saying Vincent had to ignore Leo and let him go, you are not looking all the situation from Vincent's point of view. He really cares for Leo and his family and for this reason he can't let him go, Leo needs to pay his debts with justice to close his criminal's life and start a new and better one. Just look at Leo's finale, now he's just a fugitive with a dead cop on his shoulders, he'll never be able to give Alex a normal life.
@@petarc8152 it really doesn't work like that.the sentences he piled up would be manslaughter, prison breaking, vehicle theft, and holding someone for hostage. That would equal about 36-139 (the latter being unlikely, as he stole a boat, not a fucking lamborghini) and with the sentence being reduced from 10-50%. That equals 18-69 years. "Aw naw he won't see ay lecks children hood!!!1!" Well, maybe he shouldn't have commited all of those crimes. Now let him murder vincent and run away from his family w/ a life sentence on his back. Which end is better again?
@@clonetrooper4583 Look at it from Leo's view. It's either he surrenders and gets a bit of time taken off his sentence, but will still be imprisoned for at least 20+ years at the bare minimum (which is unlikely anyway, and the sentence would likely be much longer), and he'll have to live out the rest of his life in jail and never be able to properly be with his wife and son ever again, OR he could take a chance at freedom and do what he did (trying to escape the police / killing Vincent). If you're going to be fucked if you surrender anyway, then Leo did the logical thing.
@@vanizorc nope. He's a runaway now. He will never be able to provide any care for his son and they'll be into hiding forever. Besides the sentence is only bigger if he kills vincent. He did the stupidest thing he could've without thinking of his family. Vincent is completely in the right.
This is Co-Op done the RIGHT way. Gaming needs more masterpieces like this! 100 out of 10!! i cried so much, especially when vincent died. it made me think of my own father who served the country.
honestly would let my friend win if he was playing vincent cause leo's ending was bad,in the end they had to run away from the cops.. I mean it would be way better if leo gave himself up after killing vincent and serve his time till he gets out
Man I don’t know why, but the way they grab each others hands in Vincent’s ending always gets me tearing up. There’s no letter, Leo isn’t handing anything to Vincent, they just instinctively hold onto each other. Despite what happened Vincent still offers to support Leo and Leo in turn meets him half way. Idk man that scene just always gets me fucked up.
You mean 'moral', which I understood was to not be an idiot like Leo who just had to continuously force things to only be either Vincent or himself, the man could've easily swept over and surrendered to favourably lenient charges or otherwise taken into police protection and that would've allowed for both to live.
Holy heck how it hit me when i found out. I was playing with my brother, and it was really hard. What really hit hard though was that last moment where Leo and Vincent were saying goodbye. Leo was dying, and despite it being a small detail, the controller vibrating alongside his heartbeat got me. Oh how i wish it could have ended better...
Me and a friend just finished this game and came to the logical conclusion that letting Leo survive was the best option. Vincent and his wife were in a rocky relationship and their daughter was too young to know her father, but Leo had a better relationship with his wife and his son was old enough to remember Leo. I do wish there was an alternate ending, but limiting the options to only 2 made more of an impact on the choices we made in the end.
I just finished the game myself and I was close to tears :{ I was playing with one of my friends, he was leo and I was Vincent. I killed him and it was just so sad I wish there was a way for them both to live :{ why couldn't Vincent just let Leo go..
true he did a dick move but I felt like that they had a bond even at the end when one of them dies I just wish both could of lived like Vincent could of just let him get away instead of chasing him
I think a sad part to this is the whole time when you have to press a button for events together. Without the other person, you cant do it. The loading for the button is only half way. For the ending, both of them, you each have to hold the action yourself and you each get your own. Its a small thing but so powerful to show how once you were together but then you were apart.
But if there was, would you remember this game as you remember it now (trust me if there was a way to make them both live I would have picked it any day but I feel that the "betrayal" is what turns this great game into a masterpiece) I think that the ending is brilliant but really heartbreaking
Mago Vago I agree. It feels like Vincent has more to lose in dying - he's losing the chance to raise his daughter, he's losing his wife, he's losing the life he'd always wanted basically. When Leo dies, all he's actually doing is giving his wife and kid the chance of a normal life, not having to survive on the run
I played this game with my brother i was vincent and he was Leo and in any moments i was always in agreement with vincent and my brother was always in agreement with leo and this thing was beautiful it made us feel like we were the real vincent and leo. When I found out that vincent was a policeman I immediately started crying while my brother was very pissed at vincent unfortunately I died and therefore my ending was the one where leo hugs his family while the part of carol and the funeral have me right made me cry to the limit

i see you have a point. the way i see it is there are 2 guys just wanting to be best friends
Vincent had no reason to pursue Leo so aggressively. Leo shot him out of self defense, Vincent shot him because he wanted to.
@@edwardelric4975 Vincent shot Leo because it was his job. He didn't want to do it and we see that at the handshake right before Leo's death.
other than being on the diamond Leo did nothing, Vincent made things worse because he didn't want to make his brothers death seem like his fault

There was a lot of foreshadowing to that now that I think about it. Like the barn thing.
We all thought he had a military background of some kind, but he still could have taken on another job. That's normal.
another thing, leo and him layed out about a hundred of Harveys goons
@@WritersMoment Nah but there was a piece of dialogue right before the movie theatre where vincent reveals to a homeless guy that he's never been in the military. great foreshadowing

this game was supposed to be fun! with happy ending, great coop... they had family 😢 and the ending made me cry...
damn straight it did, was crying for atleast 5 minutes
The fact that they revealed that Vincent was a cop and tried to take Leo in really shocked me.
I really cried in my sleep cos of the ending
TinJester yup, we're all betrayed by the ending
TinJester me to cry😭😭😭
The ending would've been better if Vincent didn't shoot Leo at the end, I mean he is a cop after all and he did have the advantage.
Plus he was not a threat to him anymore too, so I find it ironic he wasn't arrested after for the unnecessary use of force.
I still wept.

this game actually made me cry, they developed such a close relationship with each other...
Ha! Geeey !

Exactly what I said, I couldn’t take a side
Vincent being a traitor surprised me because out of the two I think Leo would have betrayed him. Leo’s ending was my favorite ending
He didn't betray him. He was undercover, i believe. And if he did betray him he wouldn't be out Willie Billie.
tic-tac-toe that's still betraying someone's trust....... -_-
I expected Vincent to betray because he didn't clearly state his connection to Harley.
harley fucking shot his brother (he was the guy that wanted to buy the diamond)
I like Leo's ending more. Even though he was a criminal, he still had a life. Alex was old enough to realize that he lost his dad in Vincent's ending. Vincent's ending doesn't feel right, the person that Leo trusted ends up killing him and he will never see his son again.
Their punches do more damage than bullets.
That's because they have emotional Brass knuckles
They were wearing bullet vests before the melee fight
Justin Olivas the storyline deals more damage than bullets aswell

I loved the Oldboy reference lol.
Itzille feels like Splinter Cell Conviction coop.
Huan Qi Chng The incompetence of the cops is because they weren't gonna kill Vincent cause he was a cop and they needed Leo to get to Harvey
I swear there were some Shawshank Redemption references in the first part of the game
@@Ma1n_ZaneA girlfriend who plays co-op video games is an absolutely guaranteed soulmate.
Being a cop does not make someone a good person, and considering the conditions the two characters, Leo was doing his best to get by while Vincent only ever cared about himself.
sorry about any typos or grammar mistakes i ranted
Ryder Harmon I fully agree
But Leo is putting his family in constant danger and raising his son badly. It’s fine if it’s just Leo and Linda against the world but then he starts ignoring his responsibilities as a father.
Vincent’s character had always been about responsibilities and stuff and he gave Leo the chance to live on the roof top, it’s more 50/50 I think.
@wallow
Vincent's "responsibilities" involve endangering the life of your brother for the sake of tackling a criminal, sabotaging and ruining his own family relationship for selfish goals and betraying someone who saw them as practically a best friend for the sole purpose of your own personal "revenge quest" which was partially your fault in the first place.

-Criminal
Vincent:
-Dying marriage
-Baby has no clue who he is
-Traitor
-Manipulator
-Selfish
-Faked being in prison just so he could arrest a guy when his wife needed him
Vincent dying is the ideal ending
josue abarca why?
Reisha Ananda Also since Leo was stubborn and didn’t tell the cops how to get to Harvey, Vincent needed to get to him somehow

WHAT A GAME! wow

Betrayal by best friend hurts the most..
Leo deserved to live, no question. His wife had nothing but him, and now she is alone. No one could ever replace or be as close to Leo for her as he was. And his son will have a hard upbringing now.
They would have been better off with Leo dead than living as fugitives. He screwed up his life on his own to begin with.
If leo's child will have a hard upbringing after his death, how about vincent's child?Don't forget that it's still a baby, while alex is at least 10-11

Besides, if leo just surrendered none of them would die and leo would have a reduced time on prison.
@@clonetrooper4583 reduced time? He would get 10 years off a 300 year sentence he piled
Anybody else "let" their friend "win"?
YouJustAmazeMe me I let my friend win because he never wins😭😭
I let my friend win when i was vinsent and he was leo...couldnt let leo die,he was the one who should've live.
Should've went "Friend"
honestly would let my friend win if he was playing vincent cause leo's ending was bad,in the end they had to run away from the cops.. I mean it would be way better if leo gave himself up after killing vincent and serve his time till he gets out
@@thesolidsalad7338 i forget to put a "Sorry For My English" warning there lol.
20:22 He kicked him so hard he made him remember his dinner. 😂
Man you really made me laugh
Ikr
the ending where they shake hands thats respect
They've been through a lot, and taught Harvey a lesson. What an emotional ride :,(
Yea and a bit sad
ggwp but irl
watch heat (al pacino and robert de niro)
In the grave scene where Leo died, just imagine his nose popping out of the ground.
I love this game..specially the part where you balance wheelchairs..but damn man...i wanted for both of them to live..but I can see how Leo feels..
and the morale of game is you can't trust anybody
Not really. The morale, is copy 80's movies like point break.
don't fucking spam your shit and spoil the game you fucking shitbird.
Your on a video about the ending dumbass
You mean 'moral', which I understood was to not be an idiot like Leo who just had to continuously force things to only be either Vincent or himself, the man could've easily swept over and surrendered to favourably lenient charges or otherwise taken into police protection and that would've allowed for both to live.
I'm not talking about this video, he's spamming and spoiling ending in other people's video.
Oh how i wish it could have ended better...
Exactly - but this is EA XD
game of the year right here
Vinnie Sifter shit yes was waiting to see a comment like this
Vinnie Sifter and god of war 4 and tlou 2
The music makes the game great
wait until god of war, anthem and other games to come
it wasn't that good i could name a load of games better than this..
That's why they name it
'A Way Out'.There's only one way out.If both survive they would name it 'The Way Out'
Oh gosh i never thought about that..
No it's not. A way out could mean a way out for both of them. Stop making these things up..
The best story game I have played until now... Thruly worth every moment
This game is honestly amazing. Everything caught me off guard. Perfect endings.
LilZombieGurl i killed vincent bcause he is a fucking dick
true he did a dick move but I felt like that they had a bond even at the end when one of them dies I just wish both could of lived like Vincent could of just let him get away instead of chasing him
leo is the dick here.
+Slayer Ser HOW?! IN WHAT WAY!?
I really wish Vincent had just let Leo go... I mean, they got the bad guy in the end, didn't they? T^T
I think a sad part to this is the whole time when you have to press a button for events together. Without the other person, you cant do it. The loading for the button is only half way. For the ending, both of them, you each have to hold the action yourself and you each get your own. Its a small thing but so powerful to show how once you were together but then you were apart.
My god this is so hard to watch, everytime I just wish there was a way where both could live
But if there was, would you remember this game as you remember it now (trust me if there was a way to make them both live I would have picked it any day but I feel that the "betrayal" is what turns this great game into a masterpiece) I think that the ending is brilliant but really heartbreaking
Leo’s death made me cry he had a hard life and I just wanted to see him win. ☹️😢
Thanks Hazelight studio. An ending is supposed to make you feel like you've achieved something. This is just depressing no matter who dies
Played it with my brother. Each heartbeat felt through the controller as the beats start to fade away was the saddest thing
2020: you watching this after all this time ?
Me: Always
37:32
The best game i ever Played. This ending is so emotional. And the Music is just perfect. Just a perfect game
I liked Leo living better, but I think Vincent’s death is the saddest of the two.
@@sam_marley exactly.
I agree so fucking much dude
Agreed I had a deep gut punched feeling when I killed by brother playing Vincent
@@sam_marley “all he’s doing” you mean saving their lives from his horrible actions and changing for the better
The saddest part in the ending is the moment that the split screen becomes only just one
