Thanks, my first viewing choice is also youtube, I am just not interested in watching some pointless 'celebrities' baking cakes or eating insects in the jungle!

The bike seems to be running nicely, I did mention that the wasp was only a build of 17 bikes and you mentioned a twin carb head and high comp pistons,
BSA also built another twin carb 500 called the Cyclone which was only built in low numbers. 46 Road cyclones were sold in the U.K. and they had close gearboxes fitted.
The USA got the cyclone as well and they got the road bike and the off road bikes. The USA road cyclones had standard road boxes fitted and the competition off road cyclones had close boxes fitted. I have two USA 1965 road cyclones. They were built in 1964 and 1965 only and in quite low numbers.
They were not a great seller as they cost almost as much as the 650 models. Cheers.

Yes you mentioned previously about the low numbers made which I didn't know but already knew about twin carbs and high comp pistons when doing my research.

Yes, love it, easy and comfortable to ride and can't wait until it's run in. Everyone wonders what it is when I pull up anywhere.

Thank you for this A50 series of videos, I was wondering if you cured the false neutral between 3rd and 4th, I have this problem on my 68 Lightning, will be having a look at it soon. Had the same incorrect gear lever spring on mine also. Cheers.

Yes all working fine once I got the correct NOS spring and fitted it the correct way round, also found I didn't need the shims once I refitted with a normal gasket. Check all the bronze bushes are in spec while you have it apart.
      Good luck with fixing yours.

Thanks I will try switching my spring around the other way first, but I will strip the the gearbox and Clutch at some point as I have to have a look at the oil pump tacho drive as well. regards Bob

Full view of finished bike in my previous video BSA A50 Part 35 Final Jobs - Brake Switch, Tank Repair & Baffles, full resto videos from start to finish are in a Playlist.
      This is an A50 (500cc twin), a B50 is a 500cc single.

@@InTheShedUK Makes sense I should have known. I had a B40 as a kid. I thought it was the cats pajamas since my previous bike was a Suzuki 120cc trail bike.

Is your speedo a genuine Smiths or a modern repro? If it's a reproduction could you tell me what rubber binnacle you fitted?
Asking because I have an A50 with a reproduction speedo and I have been told that the original rubber binnacle part number won't fit
I am not convinced about this and want to fit one so your advice would be much appreciated
    Regards Dene

Hi Dene, my speedo is a modern repro and is fitted in an original (copy) rubber binnacle. I had to do some fettling to the binnacle to get it to fit though, see my video BSA A50 Part 28 mounting a replica speedo to see what I did.
      Regards Ian
