- Live remix of The Last V8 (Mastertronic, 1985) composed by a living legend Mr. Rob Hubbard. Game was released for the Commodore 64, Atari 8-bit and Amstrad CPC.
In answer to the FAQ: This is C64 guts packed into C16 case. I have also customized the key set.

Master of 8bit games music👍
wow Amazing.... i am 53 years old... love this tune... love the V8.
11 people couldn't return to base.
I love everything about this video, the performance, the sounds, the equipment, the mask, the V8 creativity substance! amazing stuff! never get tired of watching this, would love some more Rob Hubbard remixes!
The end of the video is epic, with that cut on him while he puts down his mask! I liked the rest of the video and the song too, but the last scene was (like we say in Italy) "the cherry on the cake", the detail wich makes perfect an already great thing!
Great job, mr. LukHash!
Keys F1 - F8 - now I know what they was designed for!
Still one of the best remixes you ever made!
This one and Spy vs. Spy are the best imo - great stuff! ^^
Best last V8 mix I've heard, this was hardcore!
this is a masterpiece in every regard. much respect.
Still amazes me to this day! Some bloody good music back then. Carried up into even higher by LukHash :) Rather proud to have rebuilt and saved some C64's recently.
I frequently listen to your remixes. IMHO, they're amazing. Thank you for sharing them. Keep up the good work!
Simply legendary... Rob is an amazing chiptune artist.
Great job. This how the last v8 plays in my mind when I remember playing the game. Also my 4 year old loves your videos and begs to watch them every day. His other favorite is the spy vs spy.
Had the "V8 return to base" as a ringtone for special people :) (boss and gf)
Very close to the original vision of the song. Gratitude.
@LukHash I just discovered your channel but so far, nothing but Bangers!
Ye Gods, what an absolutely awesome remix. You, Sir, are a true legend already. I tip my hat to you.
This is big. I miss computer nerds.
I will *never* tire of your music. Truly, amazing stuff !
I had this on the cpc464. In fact, I think this was the first ever game that I bought. Loving your work!
Damn great man. Nice on my old machine Commodore 64 ?
Love Commodore..
Great video i love it . Rob Hubberd was great musican and you to nice video. 🎉
One of your BEST videos/track yet!!! Awesome!
it reminded me of my old zx spectrum. loading from a cassette. it was the best childhood
Perfect.
I remember this track on the game. It was way better then the game itself :-)
Awesome job remixing it.
Finally a useful purpose for those function keys as well, Octave control hehe.
Absolutely cool live version! I remixed Rob Hubbards Last V8 tune as well. Thanks to everyone for listening to it! Keep it up LukHash & greetings!
Excusemeyoudidwhat? *goes off to scour the interwebs for this track*
@@TheOnlyToblin Here it is! watch?v=qP8pbE4lIBs or search for Rob Hubbard - The Last V8 Remix (Back in Time 3) :)
Rob Hubbard ruled. imho the best 8bit composer ever...
lol, hab ich auch noch nie gesehen!
The Mind In A Box cover is fantastic, but this is equally as sweet.
love this tune more and more.. i bought all of his genious work on bandcamp (i encourage everybody to do so) and listened to this bonus track... now i truly love it... great job!!
I cannot even start to count the levels on which this absolutely rocks!
Holy camoly!
Awesome! Reminds me of the Amiga days! Priceless!
you're a fucking genius!
Thank you
Haha.....
Why? The important thing is, WE like it and have fun listening to it. Not that EVERYONE likes it. :)
Très Fun ! Et que de souvenirs ......Merci .
Doesn't get any better!
great artwork,music and video
That game was so hard, like this remix
0:25 You can tell it's the 80's calling when you answer a C-tape. :)
LukHash, do more of this 80's / C64 inspired stuff on your albums as well! I understand straight up covers aren't necessarily what an artist wants to do.
But anything shamelessly nerdy with distinct SID sound will do =)
More people need to know about this.
Your Remix is a real earwig to me - now I´m listen sixth time in a row...and the evening has some more hours to listen to it...damn good, pal!
Masterpiece original and masterpiece remix! So radio-creative acid!
Still listening in 2024! 🏎🚓🚗🚙
WTF. Taking of the Mask and not showing your FACE XD. Great stuff here C64-Donator. I accidentially reveiled MY Face sometime and now it doesn't really matter ;)
Have been looking for some C64 remixes for a while and when this came around, it and the rest of your work just blew my mind! Amazing! :)
and , the voice says it's all in it's glorious voice " V8 Return To Base"
2019 - only Goosebumps - nothing else!!!
I had no idea lukhash had a youtube channel... I was just looking through a video someone actually beating this game..
Awesome cover matey 👍👍🎶🎶
hahaha I like the teasing at the end with the identity.
Great sound Luk,
greatings from Portugal !!
I bow to you. We at SLAY Radio love your stuff!
great memories, great remix! @ 2.33 best part!
I used to be staggered buy that sample on that game, Brillaint...:)
Okay that was just freaking awesome.. The down part is I don't know why.
This is an awesome track, and though he usually plays his C64, this one should've been called C16 in the title. I just love his music, and his awesome use of 8-bit machinery!
great as usual !!!!!!!!!!
8 bit epicness!
I enjoyed everything aand some little candy details, like the missed face reveal at the end!
So cool. I wish everybody could see this!
final part of the mix has returned to base a bit too early ^^ love it
sent this to Rob Himself....He will love it... . .
Nick Mitchell Is he?
Rob is alive and keeping well.
It is definetely a C64 SID chip that you hear here, not the TED. The C16 is either just the case with C64 internals, or - more likely - just "show" for the video to have a black computer in the video ;)...
Still have this in my SID playlist in 2018.
great!! as always!
really nice and funny performance. For me, the performance is more important as the question, if it is a fake or not. It's just funny(-: And nice done!
Rrrrrrrrrespect - Brilliant Version!
Nice mix.. I used to have this game as well.. it was very annoying.. but had a great soundtrack.
Exellent ! I love this Veresion....
THIS IS TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
