- Remix of another 80's classic. The Great Giana Sisters (Time Warp Productions), composed by Chris Hülsbeck in 1987. Played on a Pocket Operator PO-28 'Robot'. This one always had a special place in my heart, since I was a kid.. It was in fact the 3rd computer game I have ever played (Moon Patrol (on Arcade Machine) being the 1st one & Frogger 2 (on C64) being 2nd). Still remember how gobsmacked I was when it first loaded on my shiny brand new, belowed C64. I hope you will enjoy this little remix as much as I enjoyed playing Giana!

Sara Waterhouse so true , when i got my first c64 i knew the world would be so much better with computers.
I never lived during that time so to me there's a mystique associated with these machines. So my interest mainly goes towards them.

this is the greatest version of this track. I heard it for the first time at the time of the release of this video, 8 years have passed and I still listen to it almost every day. How many hours have I spent behind the wheel with it on the repeat button... When you drive out of town on the highway, in the rain, you create a simply indescribable atmosphere. It is the version from lukHash that causes such a storm of emotions in me. I love all your sad and deep tracks. They are simply great!

Almost makes me cry. The sound of your music is somehow... sad, a sound of the years long gone. Wraps the feeling of playing these games back then. Respect LukHash. Respect.

You nailed it.
That is exactly how the original from the C64 feels too but LukHash adds so much more Nuances to it!
The melody is indeed supposed to make you feel sad/longing. Premise of game is that a girl (Giana) is trapped in a nightmare, looking for her sister. Beating all stages and the sister will come and wake her up. You might want to check out Lukash's Overlord (Supremacy). It also got a sad, and almost supressive, tone. Equally fitting. (Bonus points for Central Park from Last Ninja)
@@Kar4ever3 Yes I know, every LukHash's songs share that same sad atmosphere. At least those tied to Commodore 64 and the eighties. Alien is also one of those... not so sad but it always gives me chills somehow...

you are such an inspiration man youve come so far and the old stuff is still amazing. i heard your new stuff recently first but i love this. i bought a bunch of pocket operators last year im just now breaking them out in full im more of a guitar player (prog metal mostly) but i grabbed a NI controller and im learning about programming etc and boy is it a lot to learn but well worth it. im getting good finally. working on some HP Lovecraft themed pieces atm its gonna be epic i hope you hear them when i finally get em polished. you are amongst the first synthwave artists i discovered and was unaware of the genre for so long but its by far my favorite now.

Wow, it's a huge pleasure to see (hear) that you keep on doing remixes of C64 game tunes ! I already loved the previous adaptations you made (ALIEN, SPY vs SPY, THE LAST V8, SUPREMACY and BRUCE LEE (that I all bought on Bandcamp)), and your awesome Great Giana Sisters remix even give me chills : so many memories of hours playing this game on my C64, then later on my Amiga, and hearing this scrolling menu theme before starting to play ! Generally I don't like variations from the original themes, but I must confess I really love those you made at 1:08 and 2:03 . I'm sure Chris Hülsbeck himself will love your remix ! :-)
