Very, very awesome guys!!! This song is so special, for me the best Toto ever did. Great voice, perfect for this song. Good drumming, keys, but the bass was perfection, so delicious like the original song. Only wish i could hear Lana more here, was too low.

pour moi c'est le morceau le plus "Toto" de Toto. Il y a tout ce que Toto savait faire de mieux. A la croisée du Rock, du blues, du reggae, de la soul, du funk et du jazz!
Firstly let me say - WELL DONE - this is a really great cover of one of Toto’s lesser known album gems. I doubt there are many if any covers bands that could do a better job. On the surface it’s not an obviously technical song but the biggest challenge lies in the feel and that’s my one area of slight criticism (forgive me - I’ve played the drums for about 35 years and Jeff Porcaro is my biggest influence so I am inevitably going to focus on this aspect!). Your version feels slightly too much like a straight shuffle with almost a hint of reggae. Now listen to the original studio recording - Jeff plays it with more of an undulating lope - listen to where he slightly opens the hi-hat and also his ghost notes on the snare. It’s a subtle thing but it makes a significant difference to the feel. But such things are why Jeff was God and overall your version is great!
Yes, well done by everyone!! I’ve played the drums for 45 years and agree with regard to the shuffle beat lacking the subtle, undulating high hat. Additionally, Jeff played this song with a very laid-back and smooth feel, and that’s difficult to replicate. But to the bands credit, this is a live performance that is pitted against the studio recording and with that said, this live version is very well done!!
Finally, I would like to point out the drum fill at 1:30 in the song. It’s not difficult to play, but it is impactful and this drummer gets the two high hat punches that leads into the drum fill that Jeff did on the album, and no other cover version of this song that I’ve listened to has those two high hat punches; so bravo, to the drummer for paying attention to that specific rhythmic detail!! Again, well done by everyone!!
