Broken Timing Chain BMW M57 E63 635d

Today we going to work on this BMW E63 635d with the M57 ( legendary ) diesel engine . The complain is crank but no start . After some quick checks , we saw a major engine failure . The timing chain on this good old M57 was snapped / broke down . Many people asking me about this engines M57 / M47 , is the timing chain reliable .
