You're a life saver!! This totally worked!! For anyone wondering what I did: 1) replace ram 2) hold power button for 25 seconds 3) replace battery 4) replace power-charging wall plug 5) turn on and enjoy!!
Hello simplyvirtuous1, After you've re-seated or changed the ram modules, with the battery removed and disconnected from the charger cable, press the power button for around 10 -15 seconds to get rid of any remaining power stored in the capacitors on the motherboard. Finally connect the battery back, then the charger cable and turn on the laptop one more time. If it does not work, try it again a few more times. If after a few more times it still does not work and you are sure the ram modules are working fine. I would say what is failing is/are the ram socket(s) on the motherboard. Opened the laptop. removed ram. Fuxed the problem with screen. Decided to check if it works without assembling it back. Poped in the battery and power button. It beeps 2 times. Wtf.... oh yeah.. forgot the ram

Hello roblee52, Constant beep normally means a bad motherboard. I would try removing/disconnecting the battery (if posible), unplug the charger and press the power button for 15-20 secs, then connect the charger and turn it on. Hello, On Dell computers 1 beep normally means "Bios rom failure" or "Bios corruption".
