Isn't the goal to eventually have them face their stressors without...stress? We can't always avoid letting them run into their stressors. I have a 6 month old black lab/mutt mix and she is CONSTANTLY barking outside, at people, plastic bags that fly by, other dogs, attention. I'm getting her into puppy classes but nothing seems to work right now.

I have a problem with our Springer Spaniel and the mailman that she sees across the street going from house to house when she starts barking and switches to “talking” (rorooro roo).Then she is on high alert once the mailman is out of sight until they come back down our side of the street and shows up on our property where she then goes ballistic with her barking until she has “chased the intruder off”...She is 8 years old now. I have come up behind her and done the poke on the butt to interrupt her, but it doesn’t stop it once she goes ballistic. 😬☹️
You have to catch her while she is loading, not when she is exploding. And once you catch you, you may need to poke several times to keep her from exploding
Method K9 so is there hope with a dog that does this? She also goes ballistic when someone comes to the door. She knows some basic obedience but it will probably benefit her if I sign up for the online course. Thank you for your response. 💞
Method K9 she is on medication for her anxiety prescribed by the vet. So yes this is a big issue. Would it benefit her If I was to sign her up for the board and train, would you need her off the medication? I should probably send an email instead of messaging through this you tube comment.

Yes, but if her reactivity is strong due to an underlying issue like fear or anxiety, will likely need more than this one tip.
