Borat laughs in the wine tasting one. When near the end he kisses the old dude on the lips he buries his head with a laugh in the guys shoulder... He also laughs in the massage scene in the movie.
'Borat' is great at improvised Physical comedy, like a modernised Charlie Chaplin, and this is one of the best scenes showing this, with the hand on the knee for bowling, and the use of the urinal etc. He was making all this up as he went along (probably had a few ideas of what he was going to do, but would play on the reaction of the person he was with). I like how he would take an idea and keep pushing it. Genius.
Game here in the U.K. called Bowls. Mainly played by upper class elderly folk. Man this was OLD SKOOL Bhorat when he first started to do Bhorat in the U.K. like almost 20 years ago. He broke character more back then both in Ali G and Bhorat.
Props to you two for not watching all of these in advance. I know I'd not be able to just watch a couple of clips of Sasha at a time, would need to just watch the full episodes. His work is so good.
I watch many reaction videos but I’m addicted to you guys. You make the video you’re watching even better. Especially the Borat stuff. My fav reaction channel! Love you guys. You guys rock!!
The game is Bowls(these clubs are dotted all over the UK),mainly played by older people but some younger people are starting to take an interest. This was one of the first short clips with Borat on the '11 o'clock show'. I nearly fell over from laughing so much. There are some very eccentric people in the UK which makes it even funnier. Funny reactions.PLU.
Like I said to someone above, this is not from The Eleven O'Clock Show. Every Borat clip online is from Da Ali G Show or later. This clip is from Da Ali G Show. Now I wasn't 100% sure which show he appeared on as Borat before Da Ali G Show, but I know he did (or was similar), so I've just Googled it... His first appearance as the Borat type character was on ITV's F2F where the character was called Alexi Krickler. He then appeared with another Borat type character Kristo Shqiptari on Paramount Comedy 1 & the BBC's Comedy Nation. Then didn't appear again until Da Ali G Show. Summed up: He never appeared on The Eleven O'Clock Show.
Lmao Cohen is so good at accents, and... everything. And staying in character. He's one of the best actors ever, and I say that with all seriousness, despite the ridiculousness of the situations he puts himself in... how he stays 100% in character regardless of whatever happens is amazing. Early Borat was a more believable person too. He exaggerated Borat as he became more famous.
The game has two versions: Indoor Bowls and Lawn Bowls.Very old English game going back to the Elizabethan times of the 1600s. You roll the 'Jack' to one end of the lawn then it's a matter of getting your three bowls closer to th Jack than your opponent. The Bowls are weighted on one side so they curve in or out depending on which side you bowl. Great game and a lot of old people in the UK and the Commonwealth play it and their is a lot of money to be made in the professional game.
In Argentina old man play this game also but here they use a bowl made in solid plastique, and the lawn used to be made in flated earth so if you throw your ball to the oponent's ball and hit it away from the score, the hole lefted by your ball in the ground counts as checkpoint until your opponent could aproach his remaining balls to the jack.
Unless you're a kid on holiday when you might get out the Blue, Red, Green and Yellow bowls balls which are found at most holiday resorts, and are named "Garden Boules".
Crown green bowls is a variant of lawn bowls (thanks Google), which depends on the surface of the green. So, I could be right or wrong, but you're definitely right. Let's say we're both right ;)
Hi guys. The game is called Lawn Bowls (or just Bowls) and it is played throughout England and Australia. It's mainly played by old people. Young people who play are often thought of as a bit weird.
This was in 97, the early days of the ali G show with a laugh track and SBC breaking character here and there. He became even better through the years.
1 - It wasn't 1997 2 - This is from Da Ali G Show which started in the year 2000. Which series exactly I'm not sure, but I own it on the original Da Ali G Show videos (VHS). 3 - It's not a laugh track it's a live audience. I wasn't 100% sure which show he appeared on as Borat before Da Ali G Show, but I know he did (or was similar), so I've just Googled it... @Ed Kelly since it is so basic it seems there have been earlier forms Maybe the history is more complex? "In 1934, British anthropologist Sir Flinders Petrie, along with a team of archaeologists, discovered various primitive bowling balls, bowling pins and other materials in the grave of a protodynasticEgyptian boy dating to 3200 BCE, very shortly before the reign of Narmer, one of the very first Egyptian pharaohs. Their discovery represents the earliest known historical trace of bowling.[2][3] Others claim that bowling originated in Germany around 300 CE,[2][3] as part of a religious ritual in which people would roll stones at clubs (or "kegels") to absolve themselves of sins.[4] A site in Southampton, England claims to be the oldest lawn bowling site still in operation, with records showing the game has been played on the green there since 1299"" BOWLS The world's oldest surviving bowling green is the Southampton Old Bowling Green, which was first used in 1299. BOULES "As early as the 6th century BC the ancient Greeks are recorded to have played a game of tossing coins, then flat stones, and later stone balls, called spheristics, trying to have them go as far as possible. The ancient Romans modified the game by adding a target that had to be approached as closely as possible. This Roman variation was brought to Provence by Roman soldiers and sailors. A Roman sepulchre in Florence shows people playing this game, stooping down to measure the points.[1] After the Romans, the stone balls were replaced by wooden balls. In the Middle Ages, Erasmus referred to the game as globurum, but it became commonly known as boules (i.e. 'balls'), and it was played throughout Europe. King Henry III of England banned the playing of the game by his archers - he wanted them to be practicing archery, not playing boules. In the 14th century, Charles IV and Charles V of Franceforbade the sport to commoners; only in the 17th century was the ban lifted.[2] By the 19th century, in England the game had become bowls or "lawn bowling". In France it was known as boules and was played throughout the country. The French artist Meissonnier made two paintings showing people playing the game, and Honoré de Balzac described a match in La Comédie Humaine." 10 PIN BOWLING Ninepin bowling was introduced to the United States from Europe during the colonial era, similar to the game of skittles.[9] It became very popular and was called "Bowl on the Green". The Dutch, English, and Germans all brought their own versions of the game to the New World, where it enjoyed continued popularity, although not without some controversy. In 1841 a law in Connecticut banned ninepin bowling lanes because of associated gambling and crime, and people were said to circumvent the letter of the prohibition by adding an extra pin, resulting in the game of ten-pin bowling.
The sport Borat plays is called Bowls or Lawn Bowls it's a game for the older folks. This clip was done when Mr Cohen first started making a name for himself in the late 90s/early 2000s in the UK.
"Mr Bean do an E!" 😂 Yeah, you can tell the earlier ones as he has to stifle the odd laugh. It still amazes me how he isn't constantly pissing himself though!
They were so British I thought I was watching a cartoon and I've lived here all my life! What are your names btw, can you put them in a bio on your channel profile? I feel like "That was so stuupid" has become a catchphrase of my man on the left {insert name here}. 😂 Edit: Just seen your 10,000 subs vid. Rondo left, Frankenstein right. And nice tune guys. The game they're playing is called 'Bowls' the concept is pretty much the same as the winter Olympic sport curling only played on very short grass like a tennis court or on a felt indoors. It's mostly played by rich old English people. The Italians have a very similar sport too with smaller balls but, I can't remember the name of it.
Dudes ! Y’all on the good old corner standing Sanchez weed / or something else - let me know - brothers eyes to left are completely shut ! Must be that Sanchez dragon mix inhaled :)
I loved how he kept calling him Nick after he said Todd is his nick name.
"A man called Jack he dress like a ball?" That line killed me.
"Like a Jack Nicholson.... he take the bank..."
Jehan Ariyaratnam no no no no no no. Bowling shoe. Jack. HELLO 😂
The way he says "but why not" is perfect. This is the best of Borat. This and the wine-tasting one. Outstanding.
I love watching all these old clips for the first time with you guys! Borat is my FAVORITE SBC character.

only other two people ive seen at this level are Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean) and possibly Mike Myers.
@@orangewarm1 nah Mr bean is lame as hell! He is no where up to Sacha his level.
He went to Cambridge or Oxford university. Rosen Atkinson (Mr Bean) is hilarious, but Sasha is unparalleled when it comes to improvisation
I watch these clips over & over 😂

Only right wing elderly. It's a game for old posh people and they like to keep it that way. No-one objects, lol.
Helenaville I grew up near a bowling club. We used to play as kids. It's hard to argue with your description. 🤣
