O'Brien is a very common surname in Ireland from what I have read. Like O"Neill and others, it was one of the major ruling clans prior to the Norman conquest. Supposedly the O'Briens are descended from Brian Boru, the guy who kicked the Vikings out of Ireland in the early 11th century.
Your historical outpouring is interesting but for all the wrong reasons. Have you heard of Google? It will help you brush up on Irish history. You know, factually correct and accurate Irish history.

brian mac cennetig was the founder of the O'Brien clan, his son was the founder of the Kennedy clan. His other son Donnchad mac Briain founded the Mcbrian clan. All related and many more.

The only people with American DNA are natives , I’m Canadian but not a single % of me is. I have Irish and British DNA
@@brr4328 yea but you’d think his family would end up marrying people who are of different descents. I’m from Scotland but dna wise I’m less than 50% Scottish. Because my ancestors moved around the isles a lot, I even got a substantial amount of Swedish in me from my distant Viking ancestors. Living in America you got people from all different origins living on the same street yet his family still managed to only marry fellow Irishmen.
One of my favourite memeories....attending a wedding ceremony in a small West Cork town in Ireland in 1999.... city based nurse surnamed Collins (eldest daughter of local cattle farmer).... married local butcher surnamed Collins (eldest son of local butcher)...the priest publicly stated 'we checked the register... "THEY ARE NOT RELATED."'....half the attendees burst out laughing, other half nodded their approval of the couple's good fortunr😅
My great-grandparents were both from the Gallagher clan. It's okay, though, they were 3rd cousins, so it was totes legit.

It's funny that Conan considers himself to be 100% Irish whereas he wouldn't fit in AT ALL in modern-day Ireland. You can really tell the cultural differences when you watch him interact with Irish people from the homeland.

I’ve found out that one side of my family were originally O’Brien, then for unknown reasons became O’Briant when crossing the pond.

I'm from rural Ireland - knowingly marrying cousins would be extremely rare among the main population, alhough still practised by the ethnic minority Traveller group, regardless of surnames being the same.
Knowing local genealogy or "tracing" is very common in rural communities and people are very much aware of who is related to who - my parents would spend hour after hour discussing people's family trees and making connections - I always found it so boring and didn't inherit the skill.
My dad would be able to tell me who my 8th cousin was and beyond. This was an important part of matchmaking in days gone by and this knowledge would ensure consanguinity in matches in small population areas was kept in check

Facial hair goes grey first. I've got dark brown hair with no grey. If I grow out a beard I look 30 years older.
His goal is to grow his gray beard longer than Letterman's. He also stopped adding red hair dye to his head and believes he will look like Steve Martin's brother by Memorial Day.
I don't think celebrities are obligated to spend tens of thousands of dollars on plastic surgery so I don't have to feel older when I look at them. But I don't think asking them to spend 20 bucks on some hair or beard dye is too much to ask. I think it's bad enough to have seen so many familiar faces pass on, now the ones that are left don't seem to mind looking like they have one foot in the grave already.

Conan is so lucky to be 100% Irish! To be 100% something is a blessing. You have an unwavering sense of who you are, you have a place, a community, a home, a sense of belonging. When you're mixed, it's like you don't fully fit in quite anywhere, and can struggle with that identity. It's too bad Conan didn't keep that up with his own children.
