I go against AbuLaythism on many of his opinions but this time he has stated the facts &made some good points. HOWEVER, he failed to mention the very important point that ALL of the forged hadith were easily detected by the later scholars by comparing the asaneed (chains of transmission) of every teacher & those they taught and they could then tell where the forgery/mistake/change in the text happened.

Mi Khan no that's simply empirically untrue. The proof of that is the continual work on the hadith. Much of the definitions invented by our earlier scholars were arbitrary and weren't agreed upon at all. They kept changing again and again. These terminologies are flawed. The scholars were flawed.
We know more now than they did before in terms of information, epistemology and dissemination of knowledge. So much work to do brother. A re-evaluation of hadith are necessary.

Yasser Kassana - youre talking nonsense hoping that by using big words, ppl may take you seriously!!
We have access today to more info due to technology & easier travel.
The earliest scholars had more info on the biographies to help analyse the isnads and they had access to the living sunnah by seeing the actions of Companions then their students then their students etc

Mi Khan I disagree there is no way that the earlier scholars CAUGHT all the fabricated hadith or weak ones even with isnad science that was invented later
For one example we have a hadith in buhkari that a monkey committed zina and all the monkeys starting to stone the monksy in a cirpe and one of the sahabi also picked up stonez and stoned the monkey .
      Some say its authentic but
I believe its weak its simply illogical ,does not go with nature
