To add to the info above you use the scanner in the Dollar General app to confirm the price of the item. Always make sure you have the correct store location selected. There are people on here that post the list of the items so you know what to look out for.
I’m new to penny hunting, so I appreciate the information and items shown. However I have a question, do workers seem off put by you looking for and buying all those items for a penny? I ask because I went on Tuesday for the first time ever and as I was scanning the beef jerky (that I saw ppl show as a penny item) the cashier quickly came over and started pulling the boxes off the shelf. She scoffed and said the other employee was told to remove those yesterday. I honestly felt weird, like I had done something wrong in her eyes. Later after finding some small penny items, the app and correct location scanned 0.00 however when she scanned me out it was 1.88. I told her never mind I thought it was marked down. Anyway the manager was out to sign for the delivery truck and the cashier started speaking Spanish to him. It may not have been about me but I felt really uncomfortable. Have you had any encounters as such?
Hey! Im sorry you felt uncomfortable while shopping. So I have definitely experienced that in the past at some store but nowadays not too often. I’ve been told they can’t sell it to me or I could only buy one of each item but on all occasions I knew they weren’t telling the truth because of DG’s Penny Policy. When I would mention the policy then they would let me buy the items. The manager at the store I go to the most now is really cool and he’s just happy to get the shelves cleared to make room for new stock. As far as the item ring up $1.88 sometimes with the new register systems items show the clearance on the pin pad’s screen (it happened with some of the items in this video) even though when I looked at the total it was only increased by a penny. Im not entirely sure why that happens and it happens when I use self checkout occasionally. When using self checkout the price didn’t adjust until I hit pay now.
@@KenLaFlare Oh ok. Thanks for the response. After seeing your haul I couldn’t give up just yet. I went to a different location and found quite a few kids books, markers, etc. I used self checkout and thankfully all rang correctly. 😮💨
Hey! So to my knowledge the only thing people may charge a fee for is the list of DG stores that are remodeling. There are multiple people here on RUclips that post the list for free.
If you find the items and they aren’t expired or recalled, you can buy it. Never ask the employees about penny items because they are supposed to be pulled. Look up DG’s coupon/penny policy.
There are times when penny items are store specific but the items I am showing pennied at all stores. Use the Dollar General app to scan to check prices.
Just asking. I dont live in the US but visited lasr year.Did she know it was your trolley? Doesn't some stores have clearance items in trolleys? Asking for the next time I visit I won't take items from someone's trolley.
From my experience Dollar General wouldn’t have carts full of penny items sitting close to the front of the store. It was clear the carts belonged to a customer.
Push down where the key chain hooks on the cat. Lights up and makes a sound too.
Thank you!
THANKS FOR SHARING YOUR HAUL!

The Dollar General in my area, cleared out Summer items months ago.
Oh wow, yeah I was shocked to see a good amount still there after it already hit 90% off
Thanks, Kendall, for such great details of your hauls.
Thanks for tuning in!
I like how u show everything
Thank you
You got some great finds. I mainly found miscellaneous items.
Thanks! Happy you could score some items
This is the first time I saw your channel. How do you get your stuff for a penny
Items penny out at DG after they’ve gone through their clearance cycle and if you find them, and they aren’t expired or recalled you can buy them.

Sometimes I still can’t believe the items I can get for a penny lol

Thanks!
Does anyone publish a penny shopping list for a fee.

I don't. Know if my dollar general. Does. Penny. Shopping. Or not

Is this every Tuesday
Sometimes there is not a new penny list on a Tuesday. You can continue to look for items from a previous list as long as the price has not reset.
