The snake (in this case a python) is used in the bible as a symbol for sin (see Genesis 3), so when he's talking about "being loosened by the grip of the python" or "shedding skin" (like a python), I think it's a metaphor for letting go of your sinful past and being renewed in Christ. The sentence "I got Christ on" is a way of saying that he is living in unity with Christ by comparing the presence of Jesus with a piece of clothing that you put on and carry with you wherever you go, a comparison that's also used in Romans 13, 14.

This song found me at time when I been searching and felt him and accepted him in my heart I lived threw some hard things done a lot of of horrible stuff but now I understand this is the path that has been wrote down for me the journey and tribulations I have to endure but it’s okay as it made me a strong soldier of god. @@Yace Hulvey gives God the goly in his songs and that is the biggest appeal for me, other than that it sounds fire too but if he was just a secular rapper I wouldn't listen to him. I would like to say that all the popularity you can ever get from your music is worth nothing if you don't have Jesus. I recommend you read Ecclesiastes 1. I am by no means perfect but Lord willing I will focus on him by his grace and I want to keep him above all that I do. Jesus is the way and I want to say that I love you but God so love the world that He gave His One and Only son. Whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life! Broke down listening to his in the shower lol. I can really relate to this especially when the boy runs away from the wrong way and goes the "one way" back to God. Only through Jesus shall we find peace. I've been very negative about myself since I was a kid. Even though growing up in a Christian home, that evil snake still came after me. I became very negative and even told my parents that I wished I would just die. They helped me realize that God's plan doesn't end with me in tears from the pain, but that I only need to keep going. In the shower, while listening to this song, it hit me like a slap. A vision of me waking up in Heaven and seeing Jesus standing there His arms stretched out wide welcoming me home. He said "Good job, you held on. You kept your faith in Me. For that, I Am well pleased." I now know that whatever life throws at me, that as long as I keep my faith in Him, I will and I mean I WILL ALWAYS BE FREE. So if you feel like you are being crushed by the enemy, just remember God is there, and soon you will be there with Him. You are almost done. You are almost there. Keep Going! AMEN
