This is an outstanding series. I have not had any Sunday School lessons or preaching series on the book of Acts in 35 years. I have read through the Acts of the Apostles many times and read numerous commentaries. You are an extraordinary teacher and I appreciate your ministry very much. I Corinthians 15:58. PS: Dr. Gertsner was a very big help to me early in my Christian life. I went to listen to him as often as possible in the Pennsylvania and Maryland area. His writings were also a great help. I especially like his book "Wrongly Dividing the Word of Truth". He was a great man of God. I have often heard much of what passes for Christianity is "Jesus made in the USA". Sadly it is far more common than many want to acknowledge.
I think an answer to the question is that Paul is compelled to return to Jerusalem by the spirit, and is also warned that the time is coming where he will receive the consequences of his past actions. I beleive Paul is so convicted in the spirit that he welcomes the opportunity to do the work of God while answering for the transgressions against God that so heavily weigh on him.
May Father YAHweh bless your understanding.

Joseph Mellen Thank you sir. I appreciate that very much. Gerstner was a great man, and one of my personal heroes.
Many of Gerstner’s video works are on RUclips under his name. The series was sponsored by R C Sproul via his Ligonier Ministry.
Amen
