    We went to Orlando in December. We drove to Cocoa Beach. It was December and there were surfers that looked like they wanted to surf but it was to cold I think for them. It was nice because the beach was almost vacant. A little windy and hovering around 70 degrees.
    I prefer Clear Water Beach. In December they had more activity and had Venders on the pier 60. Plus they had a little carnival rides and bouncy houses for kids. Then we went to St Petersburg and had a great time there dining. We didn't get to explore a lot, but the atmosphere for our family was a better experience. Next time we go back to Orlando or by my buddies house I will probably go to Clear Water for a couple days.

      We haven’t made a Clearwater video yet, but that’s a pretty cool town, too.
      Were the bounce houses and carnival rides behind the Ron Jon surf shop?

    I was in Cocoa Beach in June of last year. Drove 14 hours from central Kentucky, but had a great time. I drove down mainly to go to Kennedy Space Center. I am wanting to go back soon, maybe later this year. I'll have to check out Salsa's Mexican. You didn't mention it in your video, but Cocoa Beach is also an excellent place to view the frequent rocket launches from Cape Canaveral. SpaceX averages about 1 launch every week now, so they are quite frequent. I hope to live in Florida one day. I want out of Kentucky.

    Thanks for showcasing Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral and Cocoa. I live here part time and own a couple of properties. You did a fantastic job. You have a very nice family. Have you ever thought about using your camera and editing skills to seek employment in professional promotion? This piece was an excellent “Come to” destination video. Just sayin. Be safe.

      Thanks for the kind feedback. Basically, that is what we do. Basically, social media content creation as a business is a marketing business.
      In the case of this video, we did it for monetized views, but some of our other videos are partnerships with brands, attractions, accommodations, tourism boards, and other businesses.

    The City of Cocoa is not just some drive over a bridge from Cocoa Beach, it's 10 miles west and you drive over at least 3 bridges to get there! Just a heads up, the traffic is brutal in Cocoa Beach. If you need to be some place in a certain amount of time, I suggest leaving 15-20 minutes early. I've been a resident here for 40+ years.

      We were there in December. It was pretty sparsely driving on the roads. We drove from Orlando on our vacation. I can imagine in the summer it's horrible. It was a bit of a shock to see people trying to surf in December. The water was ice cold, and temps were hovering around 70 degrees. I seen a few people with their surf boards walk into the water then walk back out and sit on the beach. I think maybe tourists or people who are not residents at least.
      I was also in a bit of a shock as you said 3 bridges and unless you surf, doesn't seem to be for families looking for entertainment. We didn't get to explore much just spent 4 hrs or so driving to find access to the beach. Finally found Cocoa Beach Pier and that was nice but they need to add some venders selling souvenirs. I think it's nice for relaxing and we didn't get to see much, but I prefer Clear Water Beach for family entertainment.

    • @AikenAdventures
      @AikenAdventures  5 месяцев назад

      I’d highly recommend a car.

    • @walleye364
      @walleye364 2 месяца назад

      A car because there are so many spots to get onto the beach. I am sure in the summer the parking lots are full, and you might have to drive to access a spot. If your a first timer I would recommend (as we were first timers to the beach) going to the Pier and spend time there. The other spots are open beaches with nothing near them.
