Great info, I worked for Caterpillar for 41 years. Great!
Good to see videos of JACKSON bro"s D11 S.
A mustard seed moves mountains, Brother, God bless you 🙏🏼
Bellissimo video complimenti 👍👍👍
I have always loved BIG ! This works just fine.
You want big, go take a tour of the USS Midway CV-41 (and remember, it's quite a bit smaller than the current Nimitz/Ford class super carriers) but it's the biggest museum warship currently out there! :)
@@dundonrl I love the sea and everything on and under it. I was in the Canadian Navy for 4 years and 20 merchant. Retired now and in a wheelchair I tour the world here on this laptop.

Exactly! Robust and efficient, next-gen heavy equipment leads industry.
Nice
CAT 🐛 power and endurance. 💰💰 and plenty of it.
How many batteries will it take to run these loads when they take the engines out,,, of them, oh, I know we are all going to die from lack of produce life,,,, thanks BigAl California.
🙌
A FEW CONTAINER LOADS. With a huge gen set to charge them :)
Commiefornia
So take the engine out so you put batteries back in and charge the batteries with diesel generators.
Human insanity at its best.
Oooooh! It has high pressure fuel injection!
How big is the extntion cord for that dozer.
I hauled blasted coral off a reef with1968 Euclid and Mack rock dumps. On Diego Garcia 73-74. Euclids with automatics were like sports cars and Macks 5x4 were like Dinosaurs
Nice discussion. However I’m surprised that you didn’t give credit to Bucyrus-Erie and Bucyrus for original development of the 7495 electric shovel.
Environmental responsibility and strip mining don't go together
New Israeli battle Caterpillar

That 7495 rope shovel looks just like the ones used in the 1930's . Just bigger and nicer.
I thought the same thing. Back in the days of real steam shovels.
I have two rh400 excavators, 1 r9800 and 1 d11t
I unloaded the 992 which I believe is the new 994,it went to Kaisers iron ore mine
cat. 1.
6090 is a shovel in the video
what baffles me about rope shovels is how does a little tug on that little cable manage to open the bottom door when there is many tons of weight on the door!
Pulling to remove the locking mechanism and Gravity!
Me too. Also, how does it close? best regards. 🙃
@@johnmitchell1614 it seems to close purely by gravity.
ruclips.net/video/InKbWZBlK58/видео.html@@johnmitchell1614
this video has good shots of the opening system but as the rope to the latch is quite loose it does look like a simple pull makes it open. Beats me how with many tons of weight on the door.
Video also shows how the door swings and latches shut as the bucket is retracted beyond vertical.
One machine has the door opened with a hydraulic cylinder.
The one at 8:45 just has a little red rope that seems to work a latch at the side of the door!
I'm curious, why doesn't the 6090FS use a Caterpillar motor?????
You missed the 8750 !!!!!!
My cousin works at caterpillar
And?
But how long will the electric replacements take to charge their batteries........just asking for when ICE powered units are banned.!
From what I have seen most will run an on board generator. So it will still technically have an ice but it will run significantly less. I want to say about 50% less and it will be running at the ideal rpm for power output and fuel consumption.
Sorry, long reply but a few things that need to be thought about regarding your reply. How much will the amount of batteries weigh that are needed to operate a 623 thousand tonne dump truck vehicle safely......yes, you read that right, a 797F grosses out at 623,690 tonnes. Fifty percent of the weight of a EV passenger car is made up of its battery, even a hybrid battery makes up one fifth of the vehicle weight. This battery weight will add significantly to the colossal weight of the dump truck. In no way will the reduction in weight of the ICE to an ICE/Generator compensate for the extra battery weight. Does this also mean that due to the Hybrid dump trucks size and weight that payload will be reduced. BUT....the elephant in the room that most people are thinking.....what happens in the event of a thermal runaway.? Will the sites have enough water on tap to extinguish such a fire. Allowing it can take up to 30K litres to extinguish a passenger vehicle EV fire, as opposed to the 1k litres to extinguish the average ICE vehicle fire. Also will the pollution from this fire negate any ecological advantages the EV/'Hybrid 400 ton payload dump trucks saves throughout its lifespan. I do think the idea of introducing battery technology into these kind of environments is a fantasy, and when the EV community get behind improving ICE units and we all start pulling in the same direction to help the environment and its ecology. This will help us to move forward in a way that will allow life and its necessities to continue giving all living things on the planet the opportunity to adapt and survive. @@philiptreptow5983
Oh no, progress 😂😂😂😂😂
@@mdf2mdf287 I know Cat already has some fully electric equipment and then they have a “fast charger” generator that you move from machine to machine. I believe it attaches in some way that the machine is still functional while charging. I agree that battery technology has a long way to come especially in the heavy duty market but that being said if you have checked out Edison Motors they have built a prototype hybrid Semi and it is very functional. They moving to small scale production this year.
Will still need carbon fuel to charge it no matter how they power it💁🏼♂️
Definitely not battery powered.
What is so insane about heavy equipment ?
Coz there big damn ass😂😂😂😂
Oh by the way these trucks are already Electric, ,,,or the unit rig Electra hall are powered with big Big generator,, lol thanks BigAl California 16 cylinder Diesel engines turn a thanks
Diesel electric .
In the 80ts the Unitrigs already had diesel electric systems.
These terrorist devices have helped people a lot, but if one day people rely too much on them, what will happen? We will gradually forget what we were born to do.
Correction re-define the scale of destruction!
Love how Cat have bogarted Terex/O&K tech ability. Cat could nor have ever been able to build large diggers 😂
No mention of the 798AC,995 wheel loader.6090 is no longer being offered by Caterpillar.

I like your posts but "insane" you've overused.
Caterpillar or nothing
banana measurement...
Yeah, 690 odd thousand tonnes. That's a load of bananas!😄

Get a real voice actor.
Good video, terrible narration!
Actually, the AI narration wasn’t as obnoxious as most of the other ones on YT.
D11 not worth 3mill
Depends who s driving it
WE ARE NEVER GOING TO GO ELECTRIC….WE WILL ALWAYS BE DESIEL OR GAS POWERED
Some of the biggest shovels have been electric-only for many decades.
NOT IF THE SHEEPLE ELECT CLOWN BIDEN !!
@@rsewill12.... Very True!... but I think he meant Rechargeable "Battery / Electric".
Bull shit these machines, how can the driver see we're he's going or how to grade
You missed the Cat D 11 used by the Israeli Army
Very sad indeed that CAT has become INFAMOUS for demolishing Palestine, unfortunately you will only be remembered for this Genocide, ethnic cleansing etc…….😢😢😢
I wont, but don't mess with the Jews and they would have never seen them.
exactly how is caterpillar responsible for demolishing Palestine?
My post stating truth bout jo's administration gets scrubbed but allows the absolute stupidest post bout Cat to be viewed. smh
@@GreggWalken-xd3qvgood, why do you need to politicize this video, it would be nice to be able to watch something and go through the comments without some idiot bending it to their agenda, there are places for you to spew your divisional bullshit and this ain't one of them...
How in the hell is CAT responsible for any destruction?!?!
All destruction is so to man…
And how in the hell is president Biden responsible for any thing Israel does?!?! Stop being stupid.
