For other purposes the Yamaha probably is a better choice as far as I can tell. There is no substitute for trying the keyboard. I had piano lessons 50 years ago. All I had to do was push down a couple of keys and I could tell which one suited my purposes. I have some experience learning on both guitar and piano. I am not very advanced, but I am a good researcher. The Yamaha and the Roland are the top of the entry level for full feature keyboards. The Kawai is above the entry level and sells at a higher price point. Full feature means weighted and graded keys and the ability to use a three pedal set in addition to the sustain pedal. My research tell me, secondary considerations should not be the arbiter of what keyboard a person buys. Hi. When using the sustain pedal on string sounds can I hold the notes in the same way I can do it on piano sounds? Or the sustain pedal doesn't affects the string sounds?
In response to your question, I checked again how the sustain pedal works for each P-225 voice. When I press the sustain pedal on a string voice, the release time becomes longer. In other words, when I release the key with the sustain pedal pressed on a string voice, the sound gradually fades away.
@@pf_masa On roland fp30x when you press the sustain pedal on a string voice the sound continues with the same volume up to the moment you release the pedal.
@@compc2 Thank you for sharing this information. My RD-88EX also sustains the strings at the same volume when I press the sustain pedal, just like the FP-30X. I guess the processing is different depending on the manufacturer.
Considering that you have a Yamaha and a Roland digital piano, which one do you prefer as regards the sustain pedal mode of working? The yamaha with short string effect pedal or the roland with long string effect pedal? Why?
@@compc2 Which one you want to apply depends on what kind of songs I play. When using dual piano and strings, if I want to hold the high notes all the time, which is a common case, then I prefer the Roland. On the other hand, when playing chords in the mid-range, the strings often remain too loud when you press the sustain pedal, making the chord sound muddy, so if I want to play strings with chords at a low volume in ballads, then I prefer the Yamaha's sustain effect.
I think the differences from the P-125 (I own the P-121) are the keyboard touch, piano tone generator (CFX), and design. I'm checking the details now. I will publish the review results in about a week.

Dear sir, for a long time I wanted to learn Piano and I wanted to choose between a P-145 and a P-225. I orderd a P-225 Piano today. Thanks to you and other youtube reviews that help me decide on a P-225. Now when I am looking at the audio demo samples provided in the official Yamaha web pages of P145 and P-225 I feel the Grand Piano sound quality of P-225 is no way near the music produced by your P-225. Additionally I feel the CFIIIS sample on P145 is better sounding than the CFX sample on P225 in the audio demo provided at the end of these web pages. Please help me take a decision. There is no demo Pianos available near my locality to test it myself. My order will be shipped in a few days. 😅. If you think P225 will sound exactly as in your demo, I would definetly would prefer a P-225 over P-145
So you ordered P-225! Congratulations♪ I am also unable to try playing the P-145. However, while playing the P-225, I have never been dissatisfied with the piano's sound quality. What's more, it means that after I play an acoustic grand piano, I don't feel any discomfort when playing the P-225. I hope you get the P-225 and are satisfied with it♪🎹☺
@@Aruneian The audio in my video was not recorded with a microphone from a speaker, but was recorded from LINE OUT with a digital mixer Zoom L-12♪ Thank you!
The CFX and CFiiis are both great pianos IMO. I think it's better to get the P-225 anyway, and not the 145, which is Yamaha's most basic entry level piano.
Yes, I partially used the sustain pedal for the string sounds. The P-series strings have a control that lengthens the release time (gradual decay) when the damper pedal is pressed, rather than a traditional synth effect that sustains the volume.
The sound source in the manual says "Piano sound: Yamaha CFX sampling". So, just guessing, the first tone GrandPiano (00:01) is probably a CFX sample. Other sounds: LiveGrand, Ballad Grand, Bright Grand, I believe are also processed CFX samples.
What merit would you give to each of these pianos? For you, which of these two has a more pleasant sound? I am undecided between these two digital pianos. Thank you very much for your videos 🎉

Thank you for your comment♪ It's true that there are many manufacturers of electronic pianos in Japan. Each has its own merits, so if that is what you like, I think it's best to choose that one☺
I don't think the tone of the piano is much different from the P125. However, since the P225 is a CFX sound source, I think you can get a more grand piano sound.
Before some months i bought the Yamaha p125a ,and after a while i learnd that this organ has not midi sound output!! This have never happened in digital piano history of Yamaha !! It's Crazy and very disappoint!!This is big disadvantage and thow and have very nice and beautiful prime piano sound, i think to leave it because has not audio midi output!! This is crazy that made Yamaha and put out the audio midi option!! from Yamaha p225 , Yamaha p515 and Yamaha ck88 , which of those do you advise me to buy? Which of those has the best and beautiful, richer prime piano sound? What is your opinion?I care more for the nicest, richest prime piano sound!
If you put a rate from the best prime and beautiful sound of main piano sound from 1 to 5 , which row will you put the, Yamaha dgx670 , Yamaha p515, Yamaha p225, Yamaha p125 and Yamaha ck88!! From your opinion whith what row of beautiful sound and better prime sound of prime piano would you put them?
Yamaha dgx670 is not sold in Japan. I have only touched the Yamaha p515 for a short time, but I felt that the sound was solid. I like the piano sound of CK88 (CK61). My favorite is the sound of the P-225 BalladGrand.
The sound source in the manual says "Piano sound: Yamaha CFX sampling". So, just guessing, the first tone GrandPiano (00:00) is probably a CFX sample. Other sounds: LiveGrand, Ballad Grand, Bright Grand, I believe are also processed CFX samples.
When somebody takes the time and effort to put a video together highlighting this instrument, and your takeaway is that it's 'annoying and unnecessary'? So rude dude!! What is annoying is trying to find a music store that caries stock, and driving across town, county or state to go and try it out. Then I'm spending even more time on it, provided it's hooked up with power, trying to learn to navigate through the sounds. This video helped me tremendously in my next purchase evaluations. I can live through the 2 second breaks at the luxury of my home at my computer. Chillax man.

Undoubtedly the sounds are good. But what difference Is there with p125?????
I think the differences from the P-125 (I own the P-121) are the keyboard touch, piano tone generator (CFX), and design. I'm checking the details now. I will publish the review results in about a week.
Thank you
Thank you !☺
I agree with your comment. Thank you!
Is the amazing piece that you've played with Ballad Grand "The house in Russia" perhaps?
The song I performed with the tone of "Ballad Grand" is my original song inspired by the sound of the CK61. The URL below is attached for your reference.

The DX E.Piano and the synth piano are the same sound that was in the P series for ~25 years at this point
I have been using the P series since the P80 in 2000. You may be right.

Yamaha p225 is worthy digital piano? What is your opinion? what rate you would give to Yamaha p225 from 1 to 10 ?
I think the P-225 is a good piano. In the near future, I plan to put out a video that explains why it's good.
Sustain pedals include? What models of sustain pedals u get from the box?
The P-225 contains an unknown ON/OFF plastic sustain pedal. I use the optional foot pedal FC3A with half-pedal function.☺
@@pf_masa oh man, ok thanks !
Is the song at 16:50 a song you wrote? If so, absolutely love it!
Yes, it's a song I made♪ I'm happy to read your message. thank you!☺
do you know when it will be available to purchase?
Released in Japan from July 27th. Depending on the region, the timing of sales and purchases may change. thank you!☺
Dear sir, for a long time I wanted to learn Piano and I wanted to choose between a P-145 and a P-225.
Congratulations♪
I am also unable to try playing the P-145. However, while playing the P-225, I have never been dissatisfied with the piano's sound quality. What's more, it means that after I play an acoustic grand piano, I don't feel any discomfort when playing the P-225.
I hope you get the P-225 and are satisfied with it♪🎹☺
thank you sir. 😊 Just one more thing. Is this audio in your video from the Piano’s speaker?
@@Aruneian The audio in my video was not recorded with a microphone from a speaker, but was recorded from LINE OUT with a digital mixer Zoom L-12♪ Thank you!
@@pf_masa thank you sir for letting me know.
The CFX and CFiiis are both great pianos IMO. I think it's better to get the P-225 anyway, and not the 145, which is Yamaha's most basic entry level piano.
CK88(私の持っている機種はCK61ですが、内蔵音色はCK88と同一)のCFXの音が好きです。
Which one better just main acoustic piano
@@TariganSuper I prefer the sound of CK88.
Yamaha P-225 or Roland FP-30X ?...HELP ME !!!
I understand your worries. What genre of music do you want to play? Do you prefer a harder or softer keyboard? Please let me know if you don't mind.
Do the strings sustain with the pedal?
Yes, I partially used the sustain pedal for the string sounds.
The P-series strings have a control that lengthens the release time (gradual decay) when the damper pedal is pressed, rather than a traditional synth effect that sustains the volume.
Si pero solo por un tiempo
the first one is CFX?
The sound source in the manual says "Piano sound: Yamaha CFX sampling". So, just guessing, the first tone GrandPiano (00:01) is probably a CFX sample. Other sounds: LiveGrand, Ballad Grand, Bright Grand, I believe are also processed CFX samples.

Mister Kono you play lot of years piano? You play and other music instruments?
I have been playing the piano for 50 years. thank you.
yamaha p225 or roland fp-30x? very nice sounds 😊
I believe that each digital piano has its own merits. Thanks for your comment! ☺
What merit would you give to each of these pianos? For you, which of these two has a more pleasant sound? I am undecided between these two digital pianos. Thank you very much for your videos 🎉
@@caaarliiitooos Oh, right now you're wondering which one to choose♪
What genre of music do you play? If I want to play jazz, I choose the P-225, and if I want to play pops or choose a variety of tones, I choose the FP-30X.
And if you're concerned about the noise from the keyboard when practicing at night, the P-225 is relatively quiet.
Below are the reviews for each. I hope this will be helpful to you.

Which one better between this and kawai es120?
I played the kawai es120 once, but I didn't really think about buying one. I am very happy with my purchase of the P-225. I will post a review video tomorrow. thank you.

Japan is a leader in e-piano manufacturing industry: Casio, Kawai, Korg, Roland, Yamaha. What to choose....?
Thank you for your comment♪ It's true that there are many manufacturers of electronic pianos in Japan. Each has its own merits, so if that is what you like, I think it's best to choose that one☺

P-225 or fp-30X? Which sound and keyboards are better? :)
I prefer the P-225 keyboard (keybed). As for the sound, I like the Mellow Upright tone of the FP-30X the most♪
Is the piano sound better than p125? Or still the same?
I don't think the tone of the piano is much different from the P125. However, since the P225 is a CFX sound source, I think you can get a more grand piano sound.
Yamaha P-145 pls
If I have a chance to come across the P-145, I would like to play it♪

My personal favorite is the P-225, which has the closest feel to a grand piano. thank you.
My favorite is the sound of the P-225 BalladGrand.
what preset is sample of the CFX ?
The sound source in the manual says "Piano sound: Yamaha CFX sampling".
So, just guessing, the first tone GrandPiano (00:00) is probably a CFX sample. Other sounds: LiveGrand, Ballad Grand, Bright Grand, I believe are also processed CFX samples.

Nice demonstration, but the transitions are annoying, and unnecessary....all you had to do was go from sound to sound.
Thank you for your feedback and comments.
