this works like a charm!! almost lost my marbles trying to find an adapter for my faucet (no dice), so this video saved me. also impressed my parents when it all came together, hehe. thank you ☺️
This might be the most useful video I've watch on youtube all year. Thanks to all the fancy smancy faucets my builder put in my house, I found myself in the same dilemma except I was starring at my guest shower trying to figure how I was going to do it. Your video answered all my questions. Thanks and keep up the good work. (New Sub)
This worked perfectly! It is going to make my life so easy in apartment! This is a must have for me. I am using it for 65 gal tank. I bought all the items from home depot and used with Python and it worked great! Thank you 👍
Super helpful!! Ran into the same situation with our faucets.. I ordered based on an online article, but so helpful to see yours in action and the extra tips and tricks! Thanks.. adaptor comes tomorrow and can’t wait to also be done with buckets!!
Thank you so much for this man! I just picked up my first tank (50gal) and an Aqueon water changer. only to find out that the Aqueon would not be able to attach to any of the faucets in my home. I just ordered all of the same hardware so that I can replicate your setup. You just saved me from having to carry buckets of water through my house! Much appreciated!!
WOW!! Just found this video and let me tell you this is going to be a lifesaver! Just ordered everything through the provided links. Thanks so much for this video!
I found this video and dug out my python water changer that i never used because i couldn't figure it out... now i just need the adapter and I'm going to get that tomorrow... fingers crossed!
Allright! You f'n figured it out and this makes me so happy. Thank you very much! I have one aquarium in the bedroom and it is too far away from the kitchen sink. I use a empty one gallon milk container to fill with water, yes a pain. But I have my shower is close to the bedroom, so this will work. I have another aquarium I've never set up in the bedroom because of water changes, now I can set it up and I have everything waiting for the aquarium except the water source. Now to tell you how dumb I've been. This aquarium in the bedroom uses a classic Eheim Canister like I use in all my aquariums. It has never really run that well for quite some time. I clean it and nothing works. Then one night that canister wakes me up with loud sounds going on and on. So I buy a new Eheim to replace it... Get the replacement and I think I will just change the top (where the impeller is) and this new motor does nothing and the same thing is going on. Well it was the intake tube that was clogged and clogged badly. So now I have an extra Eheim Canister, but would rather have the money and not the canister. I should have checked the intake all along. Had a lot of gunk inside it.
Yea do the shower method and your aquarium is ready for water changes! Yea noises usually has to do with gunk in the hoses or more importantly, the impeller needs to be cleaned regularly.
If you are running the setup like me, it should because when you leave the faucet on it creates an vacuum. BUT, I would imagine the suction being less efficient due to it being upstairs and the tank being downstairs.

Thank you!
HYYYYYYYPEEEEEEE ! Finally you’re back!
😁😁😁
I'm working on setting this up. Thanks, this might have saved me.
My sinks don't produce enough pressure so this is my last hope!! Thank you!!
Of course, doing research on aquarium related things and come across one of your videos. Question, would it syphon from an upstairs bathroom?
If you are running the setup like me, it should because when you leave the faucet on it creates an vacuum. BUT, I would imagine the suction being less efficient due to it being upstairs and the tank being downstairs.
Hi! This looks great! This solution will help fill and empty the tank. Right? Lol
Will the 3/4ths also fit in to the python?
in this video I used the hosing that case with the wc setup. so yes.
This worked, Thanks.
Perfect, glad this helped!
I've got an adapter that should work..
Gross! Who wants to shower in fish poop?
What do you mean? Lol are you ok?
@@TankTastic sucking the water out of the tank from the shower head will splash water all over your shower curtain and shower walls.
What? It doesnt come out splashing anywhere. Did you not watch the video?
