Utah vs BYU 2001

The BYU Cougars are 10-0 going into their rival game for the Mountain West Conference Championship against the Utes of University of Utah. In a back story earlier in the week, Reno Mahe had his appendix removed before the crucial game. His quarterback Brandon Doman administered to him in the hospital. This was one of the great nail biters in the famed rivalry. Luke Staley would prove the difference scoring the winning TD but Jernaro Gilford would come up with a last second interception to seal the deal.
