The last stretch of the Mormon Trail was not easy. There was a major accident as well as a wagon crash and a hard mountain to climb before they reached the valley. But all of it was worth it when they arrived and there were 50,000 people to greet them at the end of the trail.

Life happens on the trail and so does death. Although the old pioneers experienced deaths and hardships the modern wagon train also saw it's first death and it's only birth on the trail.

A wagon train is a roving village where teamsters, outriders and handcarts share the trail and look out for each other. Wyoming has well preserved two-track today where you can experience the same trail as the pioneers.

Hardships on the Mormon Trail strengthened the pioneers and gave them the courage to represent Jesus Christ in all that they did and to build Zion in the Rocky Mountains as foretold. Today's pioneers learned first hand that walking or riding the trail makes you more resilient to adversity.

At the very end of the video you will see my youngest at the time Mary Eva trying to grab the wagon wheel. This was the only time my whole family came out on the trail to see me. It was very tender when Michael Ballard our photographer captured this sweet moment in Platte, Nebraska on the Mormon Trail.

Over the sandhill ruts in Nebraska, where the Mormon Trail meanders through the flat country. This was a significant time when you could actually see a real trail rather than following the highway that eventually became the union Pacific Railroad. The Mormon Trail really felt real. This was a reality show like no other. It is here that the Wagon Train experienced us first mishap with a wagon. #...

The Mormon Trail was not exclusive to Mormons. It was a well traveled passage to the West and crisscrossed with the California and Oregon Trails. People not of the faith of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints celebrate the trail along with the descendants of the pioneers.

First of all, you should know that there is no Mormon church. The correct name of the church, you refer to, is The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints.

Yes the entire world knows. What I don’t get though is why is Lds acceptable when it still leaves out the name of Jesus Christ?

Oh ya I was going to say if this was with president hinckley that was years ago. What did the lds church come out with released around July 2010? They released the I am a Mormon campaign. If you were a missionary in the MTC then you saw this and some even recorded their I am a Mormon testimonies to add to the church backed or promoted I am a Mormon campaign. President Nelsen said Christ cries when people use the term Mormon. It made me spend hours reflecting upon that. Does president Nelsen mean that president monson was deceived by the devil to promote the I am a Mormon campaign if using the term Mormon causes Jesus to weep? Or did Jesus tell president monson the I am a Mormon campaign is good, but then Jesus changed his mind and told President Nelsen that he now feels said when the term Mormon is used? Like I’m not be facetious or sarcastic but sincere as I have spent hours and hours upon this. Why would President Nelsen undercut or denigrate the teaches of president monson? Why would President Nelsen essentially hurt the credibility of the prior president of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints? This is one of the extremely rare times where a president under cuts the credibility of the prior president or leadership of the church.

So BEAUTIFULLY have you produced these reenactment films🥰. And thank you for including past church history for us....some dramatizations. Just brings back to our hearts and minds....the thrill and sacred experiences of this 1997 unsurpassed event😇 on several days. We would get up about 3 am...here ❤ in Perry,, Utah... then drive out to Wyoming to meet the wagons, and spend an unforgettable day with them! Every day ...the memories are a treasure forever.❤️💙💜

And when it was time for prayer before a game, the coach turned to a priest to lead them in prayer... too bad the coach couldn’t lead the team in prayer!

Here are two revealing quotes from President Hinckley, regarding racism in the LDS church: "It's behind us. Look, that's behind us. Don't worry about those little flicks of history." ~Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley, 60 Minutes Interview with Mike Wallace on CBS-TV, following the sudden change of policy in the LDS church, allowing black men to be priests (at the very time the church was being chased by the government for its racist stand and taxes !!). --- "I don't see anything further that we need to do. I don't hear any complaint from our black brethren and sisters. I hear only appreciation and gratitude wherever I go." ~Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley, "Mormon Leader Defends Race Relations," Los Angeles Times, September 12, 1998 (NINETEEN-NINETY-EIGHT !!) --- MY OBSERVATION --- what I see here from Hinckley is a very casual, dismissive, virtually sneering attitude. He refers to overt evil LDS RACISM as a "little flick of history", such a VILE remark. And in 1998 he again comes out with a condescending, patronising snide remark. #

Gordon B. Hinckley, former President of the LDS church, in an interview on "60 Minutes" (CBS TV), said: "We declare without equivocation that God the Father and His Son...Jesus Christ, appeared in person to the boy Joseph Smith. Our whole strength rests on the validity of that vision. It either occurred or it did not occur. If it did not, then this work is a fraud." >>>Now look at the NINE DIFFERENT VERSIONS Joseph Smith himself gave of that first vision: 1827 - A spirit appears to Joseph telling him of a record on gold plates, at age 17. 1827 - An angel appears to Joseph telling him he has been chosen to be a prophet and bring forth a record on gold plates, at age 18. 1830 - An angel tells Joseph where to find a secret treasure. Joseph returns once a year for several years before obtaining the plates. 1832 - Jesus Christ appears to Joseph, at age 15. 1834 - An angel appears to Joseph in his bedroom, at age 17. 1835 - Two personages appear to Joseph in a grove, at age 14. 1835 - Many angels appear to Joseph in a grove, at age 14. 1838 - God the Father and Jesus appear to Joseph in a grove, at age 14. 1844 - Two unidentified personages appear to Joseph, at age 14. ~~~ ruclips.net/video/gQ9_8OPB7Qk/видео.html #
