Very wicked to see these engines out in the real world! I am a current Honeywell test technician and one of the engines I am certified to run is the -10YGD variant of this engine that is used in the Predator drones. Amazing little engines.
Definitely a fan of the single shaft tpe engines. What power and efficiency in a light package. Of course, the amount of fuel you need weighs tons....but the engine is lightweight.
I have a 690 with the 331-10T engines in it. I have about 1,800 hours until overhaul (5,000 TBO configuration) I'm almost afraid to ask but what was the cost for the overhaul with all of these new components?
You forgot to mention weight and torque. The basic engine without accessories only weighs 400 pounds. Also, that 1000HP (dry) comes with 2000 lb/ft of torque. Add a 4 bladed Dowty to that and you're going places!
Loaded with 928 gallons of extra fuel. ???!!!!!! That's 5,700 lbs of extra fuel. You had to so far over MGTOW I am surprised you didn't pull your wing off. Maybe check your numbers.
Negative. Motor = _ANY_ device that converts any energy into mechanical energy. Engine = Devices that convert _HEAT_ energy into mechanical energy. All engines are motors.

Excellent. In the future I would more than consider a grand for your grand gesture. .
