      Hey it's a 2024 Jayco Crosstrak 16.48-3. Hope that helps you in your search. 🙂

    Great video! Looking at the same model at the moment. What size is your fridge?

    • @outbackadventurefamily
      @outbackadventurefamily  9 месяцев назад

      Thank you!! 😊 The fridge is the Dometic CFF70 - so it's a 70 litre. So far it's been a really good fridge, we are really impressed with what we can stack in it.

    Have you guys ended up fitting a fridge inside?

    • @outbackadventurefamily
      @outbackadventurefamily  2 месяца назад +1

      @@marcuspearson8592 We did think about it a lot. Initially we were certain we would do it but after a few trips we realised we'd only really use it for the milk for morning coffee. In our case it is not worth losing internal storage. 🙂

      @ how have you guys found the van especially with 2 teenage kids? Also if you have the measurements what are the dimensions for the fridge? Will it suite a 95L or only the 75L?

    • @outbackadventurefamily
      @outbackadventurefamily  2 месяца назад +1

      @marcuspearson8592 I don't think it would suit a 95. The 75 only just fitted. We find it fine with the 2 kids. But with one being 6ft4 now he sleeps in a swag unless it's terrible weather. 🙂

    Are you happy with the van? Did it come with a DC-DC charger already

    • @outbackadventurefamily
      @outbackadventurefamily  6 месяцев назад

      So far very happy with the van. And yes it came with a 30Amp DC to DC charger already installed by Jayco.

    This model is one I’m looking at to buy. My main concern was the lack of storage on the outside. Where are you storing things like tables, chairs, bbq.. etc?

    • @outbackadventurefamily
      @outbackadventurefamily  8 месяцев назад

      There's fairly sizable storage opposite the fridge. The front tool box is big, but the divider in the middle prevents it being long enough for chairs. So far we've just carried our chairs in the car. If you really need to you could mount a larger front box on the drawbar for tables and BBQs. Thanks for watching! 🙂

    Hello John. I notice in all your videos you don’t have towing mirrors. I have heard other people say that as the Crosstrak is a narrow caravan 2.06 metres, you don’t need towing mirrors. What are your thoughts? Also is it a legal requirement to have towing mirrors even if you don’t need them for a narrower caravan.

    • @outbackadventurefamily
      @outbackadventurefamily  4 месяца назад

      I'm not sure on the legal side of things but I can see down the sides with the standard mirrors on the 100 series but our 80 series Landcruiser on the other hand would need the tow mirrors being a narrower vehicle. I've done hundreds of thousands of km with a tool trailer and never had tow mirrors so I can't see this being any different. Thanks for watching!!!

      Pick ours up in Ballarat tomorrow. 2021 Ford Everest. I to have towed many trailers big and small with no mirrors. I reckon I will be able to see enough without mirrors but carry them just in case. Thanks for your videos. Good practical advice.

    • @outbackadventurefamily
      @outbackadventurefamily  4 месяца назад

      @@darylhodson81 No worries, congratulations on the new van. The Everest should be wide enough. I chuck a tow mirror on every now and then just for tight caravan park sites.
