"Talent is a pursued interest. Anything you're willing to practice, you can do!" - Bob Ross Thought this was quite a fitting quote so I thought I'd add it here! Thanks for the amazing video Raylee! x
Loved this still life painting... For the future videos, my art suggestions would be - food illustration, interior of a room, painting a movie scene or illustration from a story book
Such an incredible painting! You have done it again! Amazing work! You definitely should consider a career in art. You would be an amazing art teacher! I'd love to see you start a painting tutorial series on this channel! I love the vibes in this video! I'm so glad your A Levels as well! As someone who is just finishing college in graphic design and knows how great and accomplishing it feels to complete something like that I just want to say congratulations! You have such a bright future in this! Keep it up! x
Raylee, I am usually the silent one but I really think you did an amazing job on this! I always enjoy your video's. You have a very calming voice, you are very articulate and it almost feels like we are right there with you. Thank you for sharing!!
That is amazing, Raylee! You did such a great job that the finished painting made me hungry for a Big Mac, lol. I would love to see tutorials from you. I don't have oils but I do have acrylics and am starting to learn how to use them (at the age of 58, lol). I absolutely love you and your family and always love seeing the art you all make.
I would love to see more still-life paintings !!! I love how satisfying it is to watch. and just watching definitely helps you learn different techniques!!!
Oh my gosh! that is absolutely amazing, i've been following the channel for a while and it's so cool to see your art style and skill change. i just love your still life paintings, they are my favourite :D
Happy Thursday! I've have been so excited for this video! Its always great to see you making videos like this Raylee! You have such incredible talent! Art and painting is definitely your gift! Keep up the amazing work! Have a wonderful upcoming weekend! 😊👍
I would love to see more videos like this! so calming to watch and as someone who also does art it's so interesting to hear what you have learnt as you can never really stop learning when it comes to art.
This is honestly so inspiring I would love to see more of this especially because I’m thinking on doing GCSE art but worried about the amount of course work so I would love to hear more about your GCSE and a level experience xx
Lovely painting! And lovely video! I'm fairly new to oil, but if you do it by layers-- how are you working on it day after day? I thought if you work on it by layer vs alla prima, you have to wait til it dries to the Touch for the next layer. Thanks!
This painting didn't use think layers of oil so it dried quicker and was also done over a 4/5 day period. I am going to do another video answering these questions in more detail soon x
I’m curious about the seeds 😂, this happens to me a lot when i’m doing still life’s, but are all the seeds exactly as they are in the painting? A lot of times when i’m doing still life’s and I get to a place where there’s just so many small details like individual blades of grass and such I find I start to ignore the reference… which isn’t great but it doesn’t particularly harm the piece either, so you ever do that? Also this burger looks really good and now i’m realizing I haven’t eaten all day 😂
On this I did actually paint all the seeds where they were because they described the light and form. Sometimes though, you can generalise, if you know the rules! I am going to do another video soon answering all these questions in more detail x
Another suggestion is doing a twin telpothy video again with the family but raylee and ruby chooses one thing then the mum and dad try’s to choose the same as each other so it’s like double telepathy ruby and Raylee try’s to choose same and then the results will be even more different
Beautiful painting! I am currently doing an art foundation course which I really recommend if you want to pursue a career in art. Its free if you are 19, really fun and only a year! It gives you a chance to try a few more things out and ultimately you will be even better when you start and then finish your degree.
