One tip for the both of you, the white part of the eyes is more greyish or brownish colour and not pure white. It can add realism to your portraits. And keep in mind the value, you can take a photo and make it black and white to help you see where the light is coming from and what part of the face is in the shadow. If you have time, you can do a quick study in graphite to help you with the process or do your sketch of the canvas with a diluted paint. Good job ^^
The way she explains everything is very teacher like.Goes into detail without making things confusing. She does a better job than alot of actual art teachers I've had! I agree with you 100% :)

In my view it looks like the dad has a more academic approach to portraiture while the daughter has a bit more of a “modern” approach to painting portraits. Both turned out amazing! The only thing I wish to see for both paintings is the hair glazed with a bit more saturation to intensify the reds in the models hair because her hair is beautiful!

They’re both very different, but both very Ruby!! I love both in their own unique ways and thank you so much for helping me with making skin tones! I’ve struggled so much and have never added brown! Trying that asap!
This inspires and motivates me to finish my portrait I started like a month ago. I feel like I found more things I need to fix and add after watching this to my own painting thank u
I think these are INCREDIBLE!!!!!! They are AWESOME!!!! And I wish I could paint like you! I also love how ruby is a red head but neither other ruby is a red head, the hair on both other Ruby’s are AMAZING though!!!!
They're both amazing! Jamie's definitely resembles Ruby more but Raylee's is incredible as a portrait itself and I almost think it looks like an older version of Ruby. Love your channel

A fun video idea could be: - You all start off with a canvas the same size and get 5 minutes to do whatever you like but you can't see each others - Then you all rotate canvases and you have to continue the painting without knowing what it is - Keep rotating until the paintings seem finished Another fun idea: - Lucky dip style challenge - In each round there are 4 options on pieces of paper and you pick out of a hat - Rounds could be; item (bag, pencil case, t-shirt, canvas); paint colour (red, blue, yellow, green); style (pop art, cartoon, line, graffiti) etc It would also be cool to see a Mother's Day themed make (video on 21st March so the ideas you come up with can be copied in time)
I am learning to paint and I heard a good tip for helping a model to keep the same pose. Ask them to close one eye then look at the edge of their nose. Then they can see a point in the distance, for example a line or spot on the wall and keep their nose touching that point. If a model gets tired or takes a break it can help them find the pose again. My favourite thing about your channel is you aren’t afraid to try new things and always try so hard to do your best. 😊

I think these would look so cool if you added a contrasting bold stripe over the area of each one that you aren’t 100% sold on
