That line from Raiders of the Lost Ark reminds me of the prequel trilogy action figures... Mint On Card and still worthless after almost a quarter century... Beautiful pieces of art but still available for a song.
At least it benefits me, being able to reexplore my childhood while still at a great cost.
Happy Birthday O.O.K 🎂 🥳🥳🥳🎂 so many cool aliens I would love to see them introduce to TVC. As well as Padme she has somany cool dresses & looks why they haven't made in for TVC is ridiculous. I know there's many that want to see Padme figures made for TVC All the one's you opened I want to see Hasbro update them with new articulation & photo real face sculpts!! But sadly it seems last few years Hasbro refuse to make deep cut figures & are sticking with making clones or figures they can reuse the body's for other figures. But surely they could reuse Pames face sculpt for numerous figures while changing her outfit . It worries me because figures like Frog lady or Black Kryssantian I don't know if they would spend the money to make all new sculpted figure that they can't reissue to make other figures!! Same with Jabba the Hutts droids we desperately need them in TVC especially with the Throne room diorama we're getting later this year. Surely now is the perfect time to make those. Also a Oola & Slave Leia figure come on Hasbro isn't TVC for adult collectors. So there should be no excuses not to make them. Or sell them strictly online so no retailers have them & sell them carded but sold in a sealed brown shipper box as to not offend any woke tossers out there. LoL These figures are an integral part of Star Wars & collecting we need all new definitive versions!! Also more Phantom Menance figures. Very under appreciated movie. Can't believe you got a factory error with jedi Poof!! 😂😂😂

Those old Phantom Menace figures sure need a TVC update. Too bad, we only get like 8 or 10 new figures a year. At this rate, I'll be dead before Hasbro updates all these old figures.

It's crazy that that endlessly peg-warming Handmaiden Padmé is still by far the best iteration of that outfit. I was putting together a shelf of Padmé & Assorted Decoys (one of the most satisfyingly colourful SW sub-collections), and both that figure and the very first Padmé Naberrie still stand up as great versions. The wheels didn't really come off the basic line until 2002, even the awkwardly-posed 'Mongolian' Coruscant Amidala has some value in just how extreme a costume they chose to tackle.
However, having seen him close-up for the first time I'm now suffering decades-old regret that I didn't grab that grinning Boss Nass when Forbidden Planet was struggling to offload them for pennies.

Its always the side characters that are unimportant, and ugly looking that usually don't get sold. Toy Story wrote this trend into Toy Story 2, where Stinky Pete and his line were mostly left in the box, whereas all the other Woody's roundup characters all got played with.

Happy Birthday to you. Hope you have a lovely day surrounded by friends, family and love all around. As for the subjects of the video they do all look good. All of them do what they're required to do but even for their time compared to 5 POA that came later in the Rebels/Force Awakens times around when I had to stop collecting they look better the ones that are limited some there are a bit more articulated.
Brian Blessed is fun as Boss Nass. Not sure where he'd appear but it'd be kind of fun if he came back as an elderly Boss Nass maybe leading the Gungan uprising against the Empire. Go the full Flash Gordon in terms of performance. They seem to never get Padme nor her daughter right in figure form but these ones will look good but it would be good to get a definitive of Padme and Leia of course as everyone has pointed out for a long time. Kind of coincidence that Rep Been is also amongst everyone there given Solo Shot First reviewed him not too long ago but good to have characters like that filling out the scene.
Sio Bibble looks good there too. I remember when I saw the actor who played him years later in the Disney Christopher Robin movie he was even older then I didn't realise he was still alive. Only came out a few years ago. The funny thing about the Yarael Poof and Kaminoan confusion is, that was why he was removed I think from Attack of the Clones to avoid that problem. There's a side mission all about it apparently in that new Lego Star Wars game they put out. Haven't played it but seen videos of it online and it's amusing.
Yeah there's a lot to collect from The Phantom Menace and a lot more I'm sure to come in your videos. It's an interesting world to flesh out for display or even just explore that timeline outside the main story. It's that feeling of uneasiness but also discovery as the galaxy feels like it's about to witness a galactic level event without realising it's coming with Anakin being discovered and the Sith finally re-emerging from the shadows.
Anyway I think that's it for now but knowing me I've forgotten some stuff. Looking forward to the next video and again have a lovely birthday. All the best.

I love to see some of those aliens from early lines. They hold up great for today's standards. I just got Sun Fac from saga collection at a comic shop. I've been on a prequel kick the last year and having a great time filling in the gaps. Still need Yarael Poof and several of the council from TPM - never gonna happen but would love Hasbro to re-do the council sets

I have about 20+ Episode I carded figures I bought a couple years ago I’ve yet to open. The aliens and creature figures are a thousand times better than the human figures I bought, especially the young Obi and Qui-Gon figures (all pre-photoreal of course). A part of me wants to keep them carded, but since the Phantom Menace doesn’t exist in the TVC line the only way to get shelf representation is do what you just did and tear them open. I doubt there’s any historical value to keeping these Episode I figures carded. I go into my local toy shop and the dude has hundreds of them peg warming for over a decade. So you inspired me once again. I’ll find the bin I have all the EI figures in and do the same and kill an hour or two a rip them all open. Cheers mate! 😏
I forget how many decent figures were in The Phantom Menace line. Such a shame Hasbro haven't released them in TVC line.

The Queen Amidala figures are so well sculpted but the detail on the Gungans is very impressive as well.

Yeah these figures from 99 to 2005 are brilliantly sculpted..unfortunately you can't pretzel them but who cares..that fishmonger alien can also be used in a senate display (Ask Akk, Sly Moore etc,)..remove the fish and you can give the hand a thumbs down pose..cheers Nick🍺🍺🍻
