    Hey, thank you so much for making this!!!!! I have an s60 with the 360 camera and was still able to follow your instructions with no problem! You honestly saved me time from taking out the bumper and front driver tire, which probably would've taken forever!
    FOR ANYONE ELSE WITH A 360 FRONT CAMERA: this video describes the grille removal perfectly but there is a cable that connects the camera with the housing in the grille. You have to use a small flathead screwdriver to remove the tabs on that cable and use a flathead to remove the white bracket that holds the camera. And then you install the camera into the new grille by installing the bracket, which is done by pushing the camera into the grille followed by the white bracket on top of it.
    Thanks again for the video!

      Did you have to reflash your car for the front camera to work after re-attaching it?

    • @codbond
      @codbond Год назад +1

      @@whoisjason Nope! Basically was like a plug and play type of ordeal where you make sure you have a good grip with the camera on the new grille when installing the white bracket. If a reflash is needed for you, then my guess is that there is an electrical shortage somewhere but either way, you shouldn't need to do any of that.
      Hope that helps!

    Thank You! Replaced my grille today (with the black one of course) and couldn't have done it without this video. It looked a little easier here than the time I had but I got big hands, hard to fit them in there, and my grille seemed quite tight in its place, didn't want to come out so easy, but I got it done. A note on the clips you called "plastic rivets" as it might be helpful. They are actually quite clever. To release them, you push the center of them down until you feel a click, the tension is released and you pull it out. Once the clip is out you "reset" it by pushing the center up above the head, insert the clip, and push the center down flush. There is no need to get to the back side of this type of clip.

    Dude, you should definitely do more clips like this one. Easy to follow and understans. Thanks a bunch. 👏🏼

    Thanks for the video. I had a box fly out in front of me and broke the emblem off the front and cracked part of the grille. This saved me $600 in labor the dealer wanted to charge. I actually didn’t have to remove the top cover as the hole in the grille gave me access to pop all tabs.

    Thanks for this video, I've just finished replacing my front grille on my V60. Mine has a 360 cam that I needed to disconnect. Also there where 3 (I think PDC) sensor which were fixed with T30 torx screws true the bumber tot the grille. So I also needed to remove these.

    Thanks for the guide! Was able to swap mine a couple days ago. The bottom clips were really hard for me to reach and get any leverage to hold them up. Was able to use one of my plastic trim tools with a U-shaped end to get under the clip and hold it up while I pulled the bottom out. The rest came out super easy once I released the first one.

      Ok so I was finally able to do it! My tip: try every tab - you’ll eventually find a weak one. For me, success came starting with the far left corner. Once it popped loose I could do the rest. Thanks again for the helpful video!

    thanks for the vid - made me confident to give it a try. Also have the 3 T30 screws as a "goodie". Then the top and side part came loose quite easy. The bottom part was a pain however, as my car has a framed radiator. This plasic covers the bottom clips and one can't just reach them as they are invisible. This plastic was not rigid however so I could press it back towards the radiator a little. With a long and stable yet thin steel wire, the end bent to a tiny "U", I was able to insert it through the clips and lift the lower ones. when properly lifted, the clips pop easy. The bumper needed to be bent quite a lot and I'm glad I have thin forearms (now scratched...). So, all I can say, check carefully and be prepared. It's doable, but not that easy depending on your model.

I want to black out the silver trim with high gloss black vinyl wrap and may just take out the grill and do it myself instead of going to a shop to do. If you're not gonna sell the old grill or do something specific with it - wouldn't it just be easier to take it apart with a hacksaw. Breaking the old grill into pieces and get it out would give me more peace of mind instead of bending the bumper like that. Or am i getting it wrong?

Now I’m looking to buy/install the black edition grill, and this is going to help so much. Curious what you did with the old grill.
