Very tough fight to predict. If Spence is less than what we think he is though, he will get embarrassed. Brook has been there and he has proven he is tough and smart in the ring. As long as he isn't drained and his eye is good, we KNOW he is going to be sharp. Spence hasn't been in the ring with an A-level fighter yet and hasn't really faced too many B-level fighters either.

If Brook comes in 100% it's going to be a tough fight for Spence. Brook is the real deal. I re watched the Porter fight and it was a good performance. Great timing, distance and accuracy. He stuck to his game plan although it made the fight ugly.

In order for Brook to win he can't get wreckless in there and let his ego get the best of him. If he steps in there with a "I fought GGG and manged to stay off the canvas so you can't do anything to me" type of attitude then he's in trouble. First off, GGG played him. He let Brook get a false sense of hope ubtil finally deciding it was time to go ahead and get him out of there. He needs to utilize smart & effective aggression and not over confident wreckless aggression. Spence just needs to be Spence and not let the crowd and the moment get the best of him. He's still growing and developing in the professional ranks and I expect to see him elevate his game even further in this fight. Can't wait for this one tomorrow and I don't care who wins...I just want to see a great fight.
He played him by taking flush shots to the face letting his face swell and nose get busted.
gee dee He played him by giving him a false sense of hope/accomplishment. GGG fought that fight completely different than we had seen him fight before. He even said it both before and after the fight that it was going to be a "street fight, not world class boxing performance" and "this is my crazy street fight". He had no intentions of boxing or using his ring IQ and skill. He simply wanted to brawl, no mindset on defense whatsoever. After tasting Brooks power and seeing that he had nothing for him he threw what little caution he had to begin with to the wind. This led Brook and his fans to believe that he was getting to him but really GGG was just playing with him. When he was ready he started breaking him down and eventually got the stoppage from Brooks corner. Brook was on his way to getting knocked out highlight reel style. I actually believe if GGG had been patient and utilized his boxing skill and set up his shots like he normally does instead of just winging punches, he could have ended the fight sooner. That's just speculation of course but even with just his brawling "street fight" approach he still beat Brook down and stopped him in 5 rounds.
