Good list, I do think Ravi deserves to be ranked higher though considering he beat Jack fair and square. My top 15 would be:
    1) Grant Mitchell (Never lost a fight and made Dennis Rickman look like a joke when they clashed. You could hardly call it a clash due to how one-sided their fight was)
    2) Phil Mitchell (I’m basing this ranking off how tough he was in the early-mid 90’s. His feats in the 2000’s obviously outshine his feats in the 90’s but if he can do what he can do in the 2000’s then imagine what early-mid 90’s Phil was capable of?)
    3) Vincent Hubbard (severely underrated, people tend to forget how easily he beat Phil. No other hardman in the history of the show has dealt with Phil like that)
    4) Ravi Gulati (same reason as Vincent except he beat Jack who isn’t on the same level as Phil. Though like Vincent did with Phil, Ravi made Jack look like someone who’s never had a fight in his life)
    5) Dennis Rickman (never really beat any hardmen but he’s arguably the most skilled fighter EastEnders ever had not to mention had a musclebound physique to go with his fighting ability)
    6) Jack Branning (he’s only ranked this high because he beat Sean. Aside from that, his feats aren’t very impressive)
    7) Sean Slater (same reasoning as Dennis Rickman but I don’t think he’s as skilled plus I can’t visualise Dennis losing to Jack)
    8) Dan Sullivan (in terms of brute strength, he’s the strongest EastEnders character of all time plus has a great punch on him. Only thing he lacked was fighting skills plus his chin was never tested either considering we only saw him get punched once by Frank of all people)
    9) Keanu Taylor (one of the most muscular characters in EastEnders history not to mention had a great punch and decent fighting skills. He hasn’t done enough to rank him on the same level as the elites but he’s definitely done enough to achieve a top 10 ranking)
    10) Beppe Di Marco (was a highly ranked copper in his day and had a good punch on him. Like RandomUploads2017 said, he never really lost to anyone apart from Grant)
    11) Owen Turner (exact same reasons as RandomUploads2017. Pretty lazy of me I know but if it works, it works haha)
    12) Mick Carter (hasn’t really beaten any hardmen apart from Stuart. Good enough to rank him in the top 15 but not in the top 10 as you can see)
    13) Stuart Highway (big guy with a great punch and a pretty good chin. He took Martin’s punch like it was nothing before backhanding him into the shadow realm)
    14) Jake Moon (has some pretty decent feats, his most impressive one was how easily he managed to overpower Bradley after Bradley jumped him from behind. Bradley was no weakling although not a hardman either)
    15) Paul Trueman (never lost a fight and has some decent feats. I think his potential was wasted tbh, he could’ve done more)
If this list changes, I’m gonna lose the plot 😂

Great video, you did well keep that a secret when it was mentioned yesterday! Cool to see a Ravi compilation, too. When you started saying "500 subscriber" I thought you were going to say 500 hardmen 🤣So, like I said, instead of writing my hardman list, I'm actually going to write a list of reasons why I find each other them hard to place (I will order them in the ballpark in which I would rank them, though) -
    1. Grant Mitchell - Seems pretty set in stone, looks the part and is the perfect mix of strength, skill and rage. Problem is, he doesn't actually have that many impressive feats and hasn't ever really beaten any of the other "Elites" in a fight where the circumstances were balanced. He always seemed very subservient in most of his confrontations with Phil, too and seemed to be wary of a couple of people that Phil was braver against.
    2. Phil Mitchell - Has the best track record in terms of quality and quantity of feats, but that's par for the course being the longest-running hardmen. Has hit or roughed up all the other elites (Aside from Ravi). Like many of us have said in the past, a lot of his victories over the last 15-20 years have been quite unrealistic. He's flooring guys bigger, younger and way more physically fit than him, and like someone said a while ago (I think it was Carl Rees) a lot of his confrontations over the last decade+ seemed to consist of characters standing around, waiting to be hit by Phil. The guy is absolutely plastered in plot armour, probably should be around 30th now but is probably still around 8th with the writers will still have him achieve. Like I said before too, he seemed to get the better of Grant in their confrontation in most of their confrontations/Grant would back down, despite it being an almost certain thing that Grant is tougher (Obviously more due to respect for his older brother) Also has a couple of embarrassing losses or times where he didn't retaliate for seemingly no reason.
    3. Dan Sullivan - Did much better against a prime Phil than most of the other elites have done against Phil during any era. Other than that, his feats aren't really that impressive, as he mainly roughed up people either much younger or smaller than him. Similar to Grant, his performances against Frank were just embarrassing. I also think that despite being arguably the strongest in all the soaps, I think most of the other hardmen are more skilled fighters and despite doing better against Phil, I can't visualise him beaten most of the other elites in a full-on brawl.
    4. Dennis Rickman - Seemed strong and a great fighter with a temper but most of the punches he's thrown were sucker punches (As can be seen in this vid or any compilation of his hardman moments) He also doesn't seem to be very durable, as every time he's been hit it's had quite an impact on him! He's my favourite character, so there's no chance of me having any biased against him!
    5. Vincent Hubbard - Like Dan, got the better of Phil but didn't really have any impressive feats other than that, other than roughing up Fatboy and minor characters. Showed good skill/reflexes against Phil but Phil was past his prime at this point. Least the writers didn't show favouritism towards Phil when it came to him but then they turned his character into a complete wimp, constantly being humiliated by Aidan Maguire.
    6. Ravi Gulati - Skill level seems a bit all over the place. I think beating Jack and knocking Keanu out with one punch are some of the most impressive feats any hardman has achieved. Having said that, it's hard to tell whether Jack is past his prime at the moment, and if he's not, how well Ravi would've done against him then and against prime Sean. Great to see a rematch between them but like I said in another comment, seems that both they and the writers have forgotten about the feud! Performance against Kheerat wasn't great though and everyone who says he was holding back because Kheerat was his brother, I just don't buy it. Ravi wanted that fight as much as Kheerat did and was goading him into it. Him being floored by Nish also makes it difficult to know where to place him, too. Definitely need to see more from Nish but I think he's more of schemer/plotter than fighter.
    7. Jack Branning - Only hardmen to have punched Phil and beaten
another elite hardman (Albeit Sean was passed his prime). I'd actually say in terms of quality and quantity of feats, he'd be in the top 5 (Maybe even top 3) but I also can't visualise him beating any of the other elites in a fight. Always made to look ridiculous by Phil (Way past his prime) and had a couple of other embarrassing losses.
    8. Sean Slater - Seems like the most physically skilled character in Eastenders but doesn't have many great feats. Was definitely a shadow of his former self when he returned in 2019, though I think even in his prime, Jack still would've edged him (Still debateable though) Definitely think he should've been beaten Phil in 2008 (Same for Jack) but of course, no showings to back this up. Always thought blocking that plank of wood when Dean(o) attacked him from behind was a pretty underrated feat, though. Had some embarrassing moments and like someone else said (Think it was Tom Higgins) his best feat is probably his loss to Jack or beating Jake Moon. Probably the easiest hardman to rank out of them all, as he's below all the other elites and above everyone else.
    9. Owen Turner - Getting the best of Jake when he was drunk is another of the best feats any hardman has ever achieved on the square. He also beat Lucas, though that fight seemed to be a draw (If you saw the state of Owen's stomach after Lucas punch him, you'd know what I mean) Also got knocked around by Kevin (albeit whilst drunk) and I cant visualise a lot of the mid/high tier hardmen losing to him.

    • @RandomUploads-ch3bh
      @RandomUploads-ch3bh Год назад

Had to write it in two parts, as the message wouldn't send with all of it 😅
      10. Clyde Tavernier - Another character who seemed really strong, skilled and had a temper, but doesn't have that many great feats. Shame he never clashed with the Mitchell Brothers or that there wasn't another elite hardman during the 90s for him to fight.
      11. Mick Carter - Another hardman with a pretty decent track record but mainly down to being a long-running/active hardman. His wins over Stuart secure him a place in this area but due to different quality/quantity of feats with other hardmen who are just outside the elites, along with their fighting styles, it's hard to gauge where they rank against each other.
      12. Stuart Highway - Constantly edged by Mick, so is definitely below him. Managing to floor Mick and sending Martin flying across the square with a backhand (Which definitely places him above Martin and Keanu) is more impressive than what most of the other hardmen at this level have achieved, though I think a couple of the others below him could beat him through being more skilled and physically fit, even if he has them beat in terms of strength and insanity!
      13. Paul Trueman - A skilled fighter and a temper but again, his feats don't meet his potential. Like Vincent, they also made him a bit of a wimp against some characters (Usually ones with contacts/power/authority) If he actually hit Angel, Andy, fought back against thugs and tussled with Phil, would be a very different story.
      14. Beppe Di Marco - Another hardman who demonstrated great skills and reflexes. Only really lost a proper fight against Grant, though I think him bashing Grant's head is an overrated feat and is very circumstantial. Like with the others, because of their contrasting track records and them being around during different eras, it's hard to compare a lot of hardmen who are on a similar level. Seemed to fight evenly with Jack Robbins, who was a minor character who never had another fight.
      15. Martin Fowler - Definitely a better fighter when he's in more control of his temper (and during his darker moments) Being sent flying across the square by Stuart definitely makes him lower. He seemed to edge Keanu in their fight but it was really hard to tell who was at the advantage for the majority of it
      16. Keanu Taylor - Seemed to be a more competent fighter as time has gone on (Despite a slight decline recently) Was getting edged by Jagger, even before the rest of the group intervened. Narrowly lost to Martin but like I said, hard to tell who had more of an advantage in that fight and has managed to hit Phil twice (albeit one of them was staged) whereas Martin has never. They both seem inconsistent when it comes to their performances against Ben, too. Great durability/endurance, as he carried on fighting despite Phil hitting him over the head with a weapon, being knocked unconscious by Martin and Danny Hardcastle said that when several guys attacked him in Spain, he continued fighting them off despite being half-dead. Recent showings have let this argument down though, as Ravi knocked out Keanu with one punch. Made me laugh when he said to Sharon "I took that beating for our family" took it heck? There was virtually nothing he could do, even if he had tried to fight back!
      17. Jake Moon - His performance against a drunk Owen does bring him down. Other than that, he more or less won all of his fights that weren't against elites. Did pretty well against Sean, though he clearly lost. Dennis seemed to take him seriously at that point when he lost it with Billy (Though was probably more concerned for Billy than himself LOL)

      18. Mark Fowler - Only ever really lost against Phil (And Nick Cotton, who he also bested several times), yet did a lot better against Phil in his prime than even some of the elites have in recent years. Seemed more of a regular bloke who fought when he had too. Still seemed a pretty strong/skilled fighter though, with better feats than most of the mid-high level hardmen but again, I can't visualise him beating most of them. The fact he beat Martin in a scrap would also have made it interesting to see who would have won if they fought with Martin being a fully-developed adult.
I realise I've listed more than 15 here, but I wanted to include all the hardmen that appeared in either of our lists! No doubt George Knight or someone else will do something amazing soon, to throw these lists up in the air!

Top 15 EE hardmen as of June 2023
Will write a description for each one as well, and I'll also put a Tier rating next to each one of them from S being Highest, to B being Lowest for this list. On longer lists though there would be C and D tier hardmen as well.
    1) Grant Mitchell (S Tier)
Pretty much set in stone and very most likely will remain the hardest to ever walk the square in the shows history. Only issue I'd point out is that despite his capabilites his feats surprisingly aren't that great, there wasn't really many occasions where he was truly put to the test with the shows elites/S Tier hardmen, held back against Phil alot more than he should've, even though I understand why though due to the older brother respect thing. Have had occasions where the show should of had him fought but didn't (Simon Atmore and Co I'm looking at you) but despite this, will always remain on top regardless.
    2) Phil Mitchell ( Tier varies on version of Phil, but prime Phil, S Tier)
Till this day still my favourite character, legend of our time and the show wouldn't be the same without him.. BUT, I am in agreement with guys in the community like Carl Rees who will point out the characters flaws and the unrealistic writing from the show to have him floor guys twice his size and half his age and come out on top in every feud against pretty much anyone. His credibility stood out alot more in his younger days, nowadays he could be ranked all over the place, from an outside point of view he could be ranked anywhere down in the 30's but from the writers perspective, he'd still be ranked number 1,(maybe 2nd to Ravi at best, potentially George in the future as well) Has the most feats out of everyone but that's the expectation of the shows most longest running hardman.
    3) Dan Sullivan (S Tier)
Dan "The Man" Sullivan being one of the only characters to out-strengthen a prime Phil, including K.O'ing him as well despite being distracted. Might not appear to be the most skilled fighter, but I can't see him realistically being put much lower.
    4) Dennis Rickman (S Tier)
One of the only other almost equal competitors to a Prime Phil depsite never having a proper 1v1, but like with Grant never really fought any other if the shows elites and alot of his punches were 1 punches/sucker punches. His rage though is probably one of the most intimidating out of the shows hardmen, perfect example being when he tried to get Den in the Vic and accidentally punched Sharon.
    5) Ravi Gulati (S Tier)
What a breath of fresh air this guy has been for the show and my favourite character bar Phil as of today. Probably one of the rare occasions as of recent years where an Elite S Tier hardman has been introduced and worked his way into people talking him up to the Top 5 with both his feats and capabilities. Beating Jack and Keanu up in the space of 2 weeks, apparently was the Top Dog on his wing in prison, and can back up his talk as well....the ONLY slight issue I have is with the fight with Kheerat which showed Kheerat arguably winning even though I personally would call it a draw. I'm willing to see the viewpoint of brotherly fights usually being even in soaps, but going by the fights logic. Gray would also be able to handle himself against Ravi maybe even beat him, and the thought of that, to me is just. Laughable. I can let it slide as a one off as inconsistency from the writers. Nish hitting him and Ravi not hitting him back I think is simply down to Ravi having too much respect for his Dad/scared of his authority being head of the family. You can see this in previous confrontations with Nish as well.
    6) Vincent Hubbard (High A Tier)
Had huge potential and flooring Phil is his best feat, sadly was turned into a bit of a push over against Aidan Maguire in later years and never really did anything after 2015. Apparently the actors character in Hollyoaks is pretty much the same as Vincent, very underused and made out to be a joke by the writers, I've seen the clip of where he tried to punch that drug dealer who beat up his son and missed the punch. Apparently he fights Warren Fox soon so I'll watch that on Dannii's channel despite not watching Hollyoaks anyway.
    7) Jack Branning (High A Tier)
Him and Vincent are the best A Tier hardmen, followed by Sean afterwards, Jack is one of the prime examples of someone who would realistically defeat Phil. But they never had a 1v1 proper scrap, closest to it was when Phil elbowed Jack twice in the ribs in the club. With the Ravi fight I will admit I myself betted that Jack would come out on top against Ravi before the fight even though I didn't think it would be a clean sweep from either end. I think there needs to be another scrap between the 2 though to solidify their placements because Jack let his emotions get the better of him. I would bet against Jack now Vs. Ravi, but a level headed Jack I feel would undeniably do better next time round. Shame it's not likely to ever happen as Jack and Ravi don't interact anymore.
    8) Sean Slater (High A Tier)
His skills when it comes to fighting stand out pretty much over almost anyone, even Grant. But what brings him down a bit is that he mostly pushed around weaker guys like Gus and Mickey, him and Jack are almost even with Jack only being slightly tougher.
    9) Clyde Taviener (A Tier)
Didn't do alot as there weren't as many fights back in the shows olden days, but was a boxer, respected by both Phil and Grant, and is said to have come out on top in 2 bouts, 1 in which was a mismatch not in his favour.
    10) Mick Carter (A Tier)
I kind of feel like Mick is overrated in some aspects, but regardless I still think deserves to be in A Tier, him and Stuart are very even almost equal, maybe even more equal than Jack and Sean. 2018 was his best year though. I could tell he was never going to be put up against Phil (despite the odd few confrontations) from the writers probably to save both Dyer and McFadden face and the reputation of their characters.

    • @SilentKiller-55
      @SilentKiller-55 Год назад

      11) Stuart Highway (A Tier)
If he had come out on top more against Mick I feel like Stuart could be slightly higher, I would say Stuart has more potential than Mick in terms of being a hardman, Stuart's punch on Mick in the Vic is probably one of the shows best punches IMO, its unfortunate that after the first 2 fights Stuart didn't really fight back against Mick and let Mick beat him to set him up and such. He could have potentially won the fight they had off screen where Mick punched him in the street, I can't remember if it was implied that he did.
      12) Paul Trueman (High B Tier)
Looked pretty skilled and was quite handy, only thing that drags him down is not fighting back against Angel, not having a 1v1 with Phil. Andy etc.
      13) Beppe Di Marco (High B Tier)
Probably one of the best characters who is efficient at blocking punches and avoid them, he dodge Garry multiple times, only getting hit on 1 occasion. Seemed quite skilled.
      14) Martin Fowler (B Tier)
He's been in alot of bust ups and fights than most characters but I think that's more down to his short temper and is very eager to lash out at people rather than due to being a hardman.
      15) Jake Moon (B Tier)
Was not a bad fighter but can't see him fairing well against the shows Elites
Some Honourable Mentions (Close to 15, probably would be in 20's/25's:
Keanu Taylor - I debated to myself to put him 15th, but I can't see him edging Jake and it was a toss up between him, Jake, Kheerat. Both punches on Phil were decent, both had somewhat of a decent effect on him, but I don't think he's that much tougher than Ben tbh
      (Low B Tier)
Kheerat Panesar - Feats aren't great, beating up Ben, pinning Jay, punching Peter, beating up Simon Atmore, who themselves are probably all around C Tier level maybe even nearly D Tier tbh. Fighting evenly with Ravi is his best feat. But losing against Gray lowers him down the list. I figured that if i put Kheerat 15th then Gray would have to be close or even ahead and Gray definitely doesn't deserve to be top 15 worthy lmao.
      (Low B Tier)
Jase Dyer - Had a lot of experience in fighting from the football firm, show never really shew his full potential, probably would of had a decent chance against Phil.
      (B Tier)
