記者の方は、フィギュアはジャンプや技術だけじゃないことを全く理解していないように感じます。
質問をするなら、その辺の知識を持って、選手への敬意を払って質問をするべきです。
日本人の記者として、世界に無知さを晒すような、非常に恥ずかしい質問でした。
宇野選手やマリニン選手に謝罪するべきです。

Ilia managed to answer in a diplomatic way to such a horrible question. The journalist acted like working for a tabloid..

This is a very disrespectful question to the athletes.
Figure skating is not a martial art.
It is not a competition to beat someone.
It is about how to give your best.
And figure skating is not only about jumps.
Uno is also very highly regarded in terms of performance component points, which led to his score this time.
I feel that the reporter doesn't understand at all that figure skating is not only about jumps and technique.
If you are going to ask questions, you should be knowledgeable about that and ask questions with respect to the athletes.
As a Japanese female reporter, it was a very embarrassing question that exposed his ignorance to the world.

But the true answer is: Malinin must put a better skating skill and some attention into coreography. Shoma is 1000 years ahead in skating movements on the field and following the music. I really hope US federation will send Malinin to learn from Jason Brown, because his artistry doesn't exist and a medal at this championship will make a young skater too proud to work on it.

As you know, JunHwan had to move to Canada with a parent when he was 12 in order to train figure skating from his coach Brian Orser and Choreographer Wilson.
Only for Figure skating, he didn't have any choices ; he left his hometown, Seoul.

I hope the commentators will be quiet during the ice dance programs and do the commentary during the highlights, we found her comments during the Men’s short programs very interrupting from the music and presentation . The fans know what they are watching and don’t need to be told that was a triple jump and in fact it was a quad, constant chatter during the live performance takes away from the skaters music choice and the artistic impact they hope to achieve. So please be quiet , enjoy the programs and comment during the highlight reel.

Shoma feels uncomfortable...He is nice and understand that the judges work in favor to him.
I think Yuzuru Hanyu retired a couple of years too early. And he's probably just realizing it now, what with Nathan Chen missing, AGAIN due to his College studies, it looks like Shoma is going to win everything until Nathan comes back.
Although we don't know if Nathan will still be a top performer if or when he decides to return.
Shoma has never won me over. He doesn't have the taller stature height to be the greatest.
And it always annoys Skating experts when you say that Shoma is winning everything by default because the big boys like Nathan and Yuzuru are no longer around.
But then Skating has always been a Sport of defaults.
Look how the top men avoid meeting each other in the Grand Prix series...until the Finals, sadly which none of it gets shown on U.K tv, making it a dying sport in the U.K.
Yuzuru must be missing competition skating. I guess that the Ice Shows are more fun and less physically stressfull. But he gave us the best years in Skating these last 10 years.
Skating fans are just going to have to settle for second best until a new skating star emerges.
Yuzu has a broken ankle. There was no way he could have competed a few more years. Shoma was second best behind Yuzu, and I'm very happy he finally gets to shine.
Nathan Chen cannot come back. He will have too much to catch up.
Ilia is the next star. He's very young and I hope he will develop his artistry.
@@kadovax6567 ...I realize that Yuzu has several ongoing injuries, and that things went downhill once Covid started..possibly even having
some bronchial/asthma problems which would have been even more of a risky medical problem once Covid arrived. But going by Yuzu's current form in the Ice Shows and on his skating videos on his new youtube channel, well he's still looking like a champion compared to the so called top skaters now winning all the competitions.
I only hope soon that Yuzu will try to get closer to his fans on youtube by not showing repetetive skating routines at his local skating rink, and to speak to us, show us more about his life, his daily routine...and breakdown all the secrecy surrounding his daily domestic life, something nearly all youtube creators are so keen to over do.
Sure it's good to see him in other behind the scene videos when he's advertising something. But those videos are made by his sponsers. Yuzu should try and make more personal videos on his channel for his fans.
After all he still has more fans out there than any other top skater. I'd like to see him communicate more. It's been a miracle how he rejected using social media throughout his entire career, a great feat in today's online obsessed world.
Firstly, I personally think shoma is a wonderful skater and does really well. Yuzuru can post anything he would like to, maybe he doesn't want to show us more of his personal life, which is understandable and we should respect that he doesn't want to post stuff like that. Maybe he will one day. However I think his main focus is his skating and not his personal life. But you also shouldn't put other skaters down just because a few aren't there. These upcoming skaters are really talented. The top 3, I really enjoyed their performances
