The 996 GT3 is the car that started GT3 racing. This car is legendary and I love to see and hear it! The later RSR edition is insane with a manual sequential that already has auto blipping! No more heel and to required, it was revolutionary at that time!
Great driving! Awesome car. Some pretty brutal misshifts sometimes, but to be honest this will probably happen to everyone in such a car on this track as most of them happened when the driver had to quickly adjust his gear to traffic situations and when shifting in corners. As a simracer I think this may be caused by cornering forces, that will surely make finding the right gear more difficult. Is there any race driver here who can confirm or debunk this? I would be very interested.
This driver needs to switch to something like hamburger commercials. Don't see much future for him after watching part of this vid. And, who put him into this car in the first place?
H-pattern and clutch still being used. The best!!! It's the ugly duckling, but 996 gt3 is my favorite Porsche, whether air or water cooled.
