Peace out 2 PHOENIX Racing 4 uploading :-) Pity I couldn't be @the Ring those days, watching & hearing the wastegate/ blow-off-sound, while those fearless heroes of Breitensport were trying to hold the "Turbinchen" on track; me standing at the fence and smiling devilish, dreaming to be one of that braindead guys... What a fantastastic period of GT3 / 24h motorsport that was... And what an ill project, making the 996 GT3 being a monster with double turbo, 'roundabout' 700HP, o.k.; - but unknown, untold Nm, hand-shifted !!! ... ;-))) (Greetings to traction control and the AWD - Antriebswellen, may them rest in peace ;-) ) The poor video quality doesn't disturb at all, just showing how incredibly fast the technical development in the past was - and'll shurely accelerate in the upcoming years... Today (in 2021), the video cam in my cheap Android phone would make much better onboard pictures. Irritating but true. Nevertheless, this produces gooseskin and a bright smile on my face. Theee definition of the often called "cochones" @ Schwedenkreuz, Fuchsröhre, Hohe Acht downwards, Wippermann and the second Sprunghügel @ Pflanzgarten. Nice that Uwe looked up before the BILSTEIN Bridge and didn't hit the (roundabout 240 km/h) slow cars on the left... The best thing is you all survived that bull**** (meant is bullride, of course; dear Algorhythmners). The worst that you never had the fortune to show what the project was really able to aim. Anyway, many thanks again, may some car like this bring it to the 20,534 (or so) meters in the future. We are patient, but still waiting ... See you anywhere behind the 'new' FIA-fence, when and if Covid19 lets us all do what we're doing as a labour, again. Maybe some day on the track, then pls. be as kind as to don't push me in the Leitschiene. Thanks in advance. not
That is not your average modified car lap. That thing is set up superbly well, the stability over bumps and the way it puts the power down out of bends is more than slightly reminiscent of a 962. What Aero does that thing have? Also, hats of to the driver ~6m 50s around the North loop is staggering
Schau mal bei Alzen Motorsport! Der Wagen ist selbst umgebaut und war früher die direkte Konkurrenz zur Zakspeed Dodge Viper(Mehrmaliger 24h Nordschleifen Gewinner) es sind viele damaligen Cup Teile und selbst konstruierte Teile verbaute wurden! Es gibt auch eine Doku über den wagen(Turbinchen)! War damals ein absolutes beast aber leider gibt es den. Wagen nicht mehr! Es gibt jedoch einen Ford GT mit Twin Turbo (Turbinchen 2)
