As I have felt the soft throw sending me aloft 6 feet in the air and across the mat of Aikido
I have felt the hip throw of Hapkido
I have felt the highflying kick of tae kwon do
I have been brutalized and amazed by Koga Ru ninjutsu
I remember elements of Okinawan Kenpo
Chinese Kenpo
And American Kenpo
And there was praying, mantis kung fu
And jukafushido
There’s more
But I’m old now
And I have only my grandchildren to teach my kung fu
And the knowledge that we train and harden ourselves, so that we can be soft and know when not to fight
Two hands must join together as their energies must join in common cause to form a throw and go in the same direction
The one who knows that can redirect the other, and cause peace or submission, and end all fighting
The one who knows that
Can redirect the evil ones ki
Like, stepping into the path of the sword
Can place you in heaven

If this is shodan test why are they already wearing black belts?

In many schools ladies are permitted to wear hakama before they reach Shodan. Traditionally this is due to modesty and tradition as the gi was merely considered humble undergarments.
