I grew up in the Katy area. I lived here back in the day when there were no subdivisions and the geese covered the skies. While I really miss those days if I have to have subdivisions I couldnt ask for better neighborhoods. Cinco Ranch is absolutely gorgeous!!! We live on the sixth Fairway and couldn't be happier.
My wife and I met Nick last July when we visited the Houston area. We will be retiring in 2023 and plan on moving to the Houston area(Katy, Cypress, Tomball).
I would say Harris and Fort Bend are pretty similar. Fort bend is smaller so may be a little easier to get in touch with them if needed. Jury duty would be easier in Ft Bend County. :) Waller County is a small portion of Katy and it can sometimes have a little lower tax rate. But that mostly depends on the age of the home.
My bf and I are planning on moving this year. I am excited I don’t have to deal with snow anymore. I live in Midwest currently.
