I've been here for about two months now, and learning how my experiences are different or the same as people you interviewed has been interesting. It is really a learning experience to travel and experience other cultures.

It’s very interesting that several women pointed out the stereotype of being perceived as “open-minded” or “extroverted.” I do wonder if that leads to strangers being more inappropriate/less respectful of the women’s personal boundaries.

Thanks.

ik u didn’t ask but i’m korean american and going there i’m treated pretty much the same until they find out that i’m from america, and then they do start to treat me like an outsider. of course not as bad as being a full fledged foreigner, but i still get the feeling that i’ll never be ‘one of them’ if that makes sense.
overall though it’s definitely easier being korean passing because outwardly you look like them and you’ll be treated the same by strangers and what not. i know korean but i do have an american accent when i speak so when i talk to people that’s usually when they realize i’m not actually from korea lol

Maji is traditional Korean food but prepared in a vegetarian way and it's near Gyeongbokgung palace! Basically, bibimbop is your friend, and when in doubt, look for Indian food cuz there's plenty.
