I would never consider this bakkie. It's got to much of Ford's DNA. Ford products in general are notorious for having reliability issues, especially with oil leaks, electronics & recalls. Even Ford's CEO admitted on TV that they have quality issues. I spent my hard-earned money on a 2023 Toyota Hilux GR-S. My Hilux might not have a 8 or 10 speed tranny, a big screen with fancy switches etc., but I know for a fact that my Hilux will never let me done and re-sale value is tops. It's a shame that VW had to team up with Ford on this new Ford Amarok!! BTW - Great review!!

Same engine and transmission, same running gear same cabin dimensions as Ranger. Claiming this has VW DNA is a stretch. A new grille and different guards is about it. It’s VW bean counters running the engineering department.

The ford raptor 100 times better. Amarak is only for going shopping nothing else even the hilux beat it in rugged terrain. Why is the amarak like that, the fastest truck , but not good for hard work . Unlike the raptor Colorado and the hilux these are best off roading trucks. I seen too much downfall of the Amarak on many videos. They have too better them selves in the long run. Never buy japeneese uses.

Good review here. I do like the Ranger steering wheel better but the centre console layout is better in the Amarok. I like how the wheel guards are flared out.
Ford raptor much better in the 4x4 off roading. I don't see amarak matching the raptor in rugged hill country. Amarak is made for shopping truck. Raptors are made for working not for speeding , that's why I like them. They so awesome. Who cares about who got the fastest truck when you can only do a hundred kph haha
