I wish Toyota would make these (or something similar) again and sell them in the US!!
part of the problem is emission standards that make it hard for foreign desiel engines.
I've been wating for a hybrid / ev camper van. A phev with a solid state battery is the dream. You basically have a built in generator. Whether that be gas or hydrogen doesn't matter to me. Throw on some solar panels, a lift, and it becomes the perfect adventure rig
I m Hope they are Sell in Brazil. This nice MotohomeHouse. Tks for Share my dear Friend. Welcome to Brazil my dear..

If you're after a slide out, it can be installed on any van by custom builders.
Watched this at 2x speed. Still verry easy to follow.
Bro narrates...as, if, he's...William...Shatner XD
Great video other than that subtle quirk :P
Being a diesel and a Toyota, it will outlast the human population. Neat little camper.
If I am single and I need a camper van this would be it.
The slide out blows my mind! I've begun feverishly researching add-on/aftermarket slide out systems for the van I don't have yet. Lol!
What a kick ass rig! It’s unbelievably roomy/comfortable inside and it has all of the creature comforts you would ever want or need. Why on Earth did Toyota decide NOT to sell these in the United States!? The layout/engineering is really perfect and that slide out is the major selling point for me. This thing, dare I say it, beats the VW Vanagons in my opinion. I’ve never seen this vehicle before and I’m really glade you uploaded this video. Thank you so much for sharing and I wish you the best!
This is a great find and a great restoration! Good job and thanks for sharing. Would not mind going on some great off highway road trips with this. I bet a lot of people must come up to you to engage with this conversation piece.
My first thought when I saw the enormous slide out was that, unless I was sure it was properly counterbalanced, I’d be afraid to put a couple of hundred pounds (or more) of people that far from the center of the vehicle.
lol. Bro the van weighs over 1 ton. It's not going to tip over.
I thought the same thing! I would wedge a pole under it.
@@KeithsReviews yep sure...Titanic?!
Hoooly shit i need it.
Wow, it's okay. How much is it?
This is one cool looking rig, a small van with a slide out….
It’s almost perfect, if it was a foot longer it could have a better bathroom that could be used as a bathroom and not as the gentleman said for storage….
And the kitchen needs a fridge and a stove…
Not to mention an automatic transmission….
In case anyone wonders, while this rig wasn’t sold here in the USA, there were companies turning Toyota pickups into tiny Class C campers that were.
Interesting video
That is definitely one bad boy! Wish there were more around. You did a great job on it. Color looks good and stance is awesome.
Wow, Small on the outside yet impressive inside.
You would think the overhang could tip it to the right.
why cant americans have nice things. lol. you have to wait till japanese campers like these are over 25 years old or something because you can purchase.
The slide out has no support underneath? Can it really handle the extra weight?
an easy fix if he thought it was needed
@Globalizmas - Keiksmažodis oh god the yo mama jokes are dessicated 😂
Easy enough to give it support. Scissor jacks would work well. Life isn't complicated.
@Globalizmas - Keiksmažodis #deadatyomamaweight!
@@williambranham6249 Exactly. And it's first thing I'd do, just to have peace of mind. I also like that slide out bench on the oposite.
Man, I want one exactly like that! Hope you can get your hands on another. Great video.
Would have liked to seen the shower and where do you cook at my friend had the 1990 Toyota van it was pretty small but drove great.
Taught my children to drive a 3 on the tree In an Old Dodge Pick up. and now They can drive anything
"I think it's a great camper, no matter the year. More of these items should be introduced. It has the style, and most importantly? The space when converted."👍
Looks like something you would see rolling out the back of the Jupiter 2... nice work!
I didn't know Billy Bob Thornton sold camper vans..
Nice rig. Don't really care if you wouldn't use the bathroom, it would be nice to see the layout. Assuming it's a wet bath. Didn't mention the full powertrain. Is it a Toyota Previa style chassis?
That's the awesomest camper van I've seen so far along with the worst walk around description ever. Would've liked to see the shower and what it's like with the slide out slid in.
That is a fabulous design, hopefully a memory foam mattress. It’s perfect.
En France c'est illégal. On ne s'installe pas dans le lit d'une rivière !
definately want to know how you did the 2'' lift on the front. I own a liteace truck wich i want to lift a little. what size are these tires?
Thanks
rem fournier. I believe it's front torsion bars in these so you just need to crank them up. To bring the rear up to match there is a company here in NZ that makes replacement springs for pretty much every Japanese vehicle. And for most they offer raised, original and lowered height. I did the rears in my 1995 Supercustom 4WD. They were NZ$180 Check out cobrasprings.co.nz
That's probably the coolest camper/van I've ever seen.
Really nice job, well done! did you buy that side pull out as a kit? i´d love to have the contact, maybe i´ll convert my trailer like this..thanks
Wow!!! Why dont they make this anymore!!!
Oil seals? Front and rear main seals?.. is that what you mean
Like inside lots of room to eye view
Всегда хотел именно такой автомобиль.
Автор сам делал доработку ?
Awesome! I've been looking at campers for some off grid activities all summer. I can't decide whether to buy a class B, C, or a tow behind. I wonder how much you got for that '90 Toyota. I'd throw a flat screen, new couch some LED lighting in that beast and it would be off the hook!. I'll look at your inventory.
Damn why don’t they make something like this now? I bet a lot of people would pay decent money for something like that.
a promaster done this way would be the holy grail,
Is it possible to add a slide out to any existing rv?
I love this van/camper. Is there anything else similar to it for sale???
Holy shit, that Toyota camper gives me wood!
Idk where this lovely little truck ended up, but I hope whoever got it loves and uses it frequently and with joy.
I thought it was a RC car at the beginning of the video. Haha.
Οοοοο fantastic!!
How much does one of these cost?
Maria Crane 175,000
B RADD yen
B RADD pesos
B RADD 😂
I just sold my home and bought a used one for $150,000 USD.
Nice car! Toyota engine is the best!
Would be nice to see the wash room, hob, cookers & is there a heater,It's a nice layout....😊
I agree, I wanted to see the bath/shower room, counter & cooking area. Looks nice, but need to show much more detail of the inside.
seriously i don't understand how he sells anything with that monotone and such little detail of the functions of the camper itself
Машинка классная но обзор плохой. Кроме как слайдер ничего не понятно. Надо всё показывать в работе, не болтать об этом.
wow that is the best 4x4 rv I've ever seen...and actually good on fuel...I'd love to own that
The best caravane ever congratulations. Also need wooden floors instead of carpets
I want one! is 6 foot 7 too tall to sleep in that?
This is one extremely cool camper.
#ToyotaSouthAfrica you would make a killing if you manufactured these in South Africa 🇿🇦
Rent a houtel ore and AIRNB this campmate sucks my friend, meet others people!!!
I know this is an old video but I have never seen one of these. This thing is super nice and very cool to boot. I would love to have something like this. Thanks for sharing. ☮️
Damn sweet van love the slide out and it has a shower and i sssume theres a terlit packed away in there wish i was the lucky buyer...but thats ideal in my eyes..not huge..easier to drive and has it all mainly the shower/toilet is a major selling point to me..ty for the vid
I knew Mitsubishi has resorted to a collumn-shifter with a 5-speed manual transmission in the Delica for a while, but any other Japanese van I've seen with a collumn-shifter had an automatic transmission.
zOiNhUh , Column shift manual transmissions are pretty common in Japan on lots of vehicles. (My partner is from Japan , I am from UK, we alternate between UK and Japan)
We have a Hilux (4x2) with manual column shift and in UK I have a Toyota Crown station wagon with it. Our daughter has a Nissan Gloria too which is manual column shift. I also used to have a company van (a Vauxhall Midi , which is a rebaged Isuzu , which has it) . A whole lot of cars and vans still have it in Japan.
I LOVE manual column shift. I learned to drive on it , (on an 86 Toyota Hiace van and an old Mazda B1800 pickup.)
Every vehicle I have had , pretty much has had it , apart from a couple of automatics . My new company van is automatic , a Mazda , but that is also column-shifter.
I don't mind automatics , but I will miss manual transmissions. I think they will disappear completely soon with the advent of hybrids and electric vehicles.
@@jerrybarbender9987 I have never seen a Hilux with collumn-shifter, not even older models in Uruguay. I'm from Brazil, and the only Japanese vehicle which had ever been officially available with a collumn-shifter for the manual transmission for a while was the Mitsubishi L300. I don't know if you living in a country where RHD is the rule makes it easier to find vehicles with this configuration.
It was always 2 wheel drive Hiluxes had column shifters . 4x4s were always floor . Column shifters were , and are , still really common place though. The 2 wheel drive Nissan pickups also have them , on automatics and manual , and the older 2 wheel drive Mitsubishi L200 pickups and Mazda pickups too. It's still common on the Toyota delivery vans - (the Toyota equivalent of UPS style parcel vans in Japan). Quite a few cars still have it too , I guess it was an option on Toyota Crowns as you can get the same model / year versions with floor or column shifter. Same with Nissan Glorias and Nissan Cedrics The Japanese domestic Toyota Yaris - called the Fun Cargo in Japan - had it too until very recently.
Some of the very small vans and pickups had a kind of combination of column shifter / floor shifter . It is a column mounted lever , coming out of the side of the column , but the shift knob and the shift pattern is exactly like a regular floor shifter.
I have already seen a handful of the JDM Toyota FunCargo with Paraguayan plates and converted to LHD, mostly automatics. Presumably it's easier to perform such conversions in vehicles fitted with an automatic transmission.
I like this
What did you use to lift it? I live in Kyushu and have bought a 1995 Liteace Truck with the 2C diesel with 5 on the tree and high/low 4WD. It has 12,000 miles (19,000 kilometers) on it. I’m changing the fluids, filters, getting the fan and timing belt replaced.
Very cool
Esos sí eran buenos carros no los pinches carros de platicó de hoy en Día
Almost half way through, and no inside yet...why do men do that? So annoying!
It would have been nice if you would have gotten inside and open that door so you can see what the inside of the bathroom looks like
I've love it if Ford did something like that on the Transit Connect vans!
Beautiful. Im very close to being homeless, in Seattle/Tacoma area. I have saved $1500 for a camper van, can you hook me up? Maybe could work for trade? I know a long shot but what the hey! Cant blame a guy for trying survive in this fake plandemic nightmare....
Subscribed and shared.
Thank you and God help us all!
Someone contact me about obtaining one. Please and thank you, hope to hear from you soon.
needed to see bathrm possibility & that counter??
japan has the coolest "vanlife" vans.
이차 좋은듯!
Didn't realize they made a van that looks worse than a previa 😂😂😂
Men you are too slow on your talk..... I have to increase the speed for it to feel normal.
Simply great and what a mechanism. Wish if I could have got one
Why don't we have this in the US. Because we think big. 😉
How much did you sell this van for thanks
should make video how to ship from Japan to stateside
Great concept, more small vans need slide outs.
How do you shower in this thing? Should have showed how big the shower was.
ничего не показал восемь минут треп видео не было 🤷🤦☹
Two Fat Guys on that sofa with flip that thing but it is pretty cool
That is super cool van iv never seen this van type before, i want one.
One of the best compact campervans I have ever seen
Very interesting and essencials video thank ypu 🌹
映像といい、キャンピングの出来が凄いです。素晴らしい
great layout, door near the rear leaving room for full size couch. good job
I want one like that. How much did it sell for?
I WANT ONE!!!!!!!
Yes typical usa . Dead slow stop . X2 speed best view
The steering wheel is on the wrong side🤪🤕 you can get two Japanese people in that shower. Timing belt👎
Interesting saves space. I like this solution.
Does it have a turbo?
Ugandan knucklez why, so that you can find de way
most diesels have a turbo
I don't think this one's Turbo
I was just thinking "badass...and u said it..lol
Awesome unicorn! I had an HZJ 80 from Australia. Right hand drive is hilarious going through a drive-thru when you go backwards. lol
Louis Porteous funny
I can’t stand shifters on the column, it’s a pain in the ass. I drove in Japan quite a bit when I lived there and had a Toyota with that setup and it’s a pain in the city
Beautiful vehicle. I thought these had the timing chains and not the belts. Is it a 2.2 common rail diesel?
I love the slide out!!!! ♥️👏👏
That carpet, though….😣🤢
Eu não gostei por que toda a movimentação para aumentar o espaço interno foi manual e não automática. Ainda mais ter que fazer pelo lado de fora. Com tanta tecnologia...
I also live in a van in Korea I like the this cute little Toyota van
I want it so bad. But I'll have to wait till I get my hijet where I want it.
The image is clean.
Thats a perfect opinion 👌🏼
How good would it be if both sides went out . Awesome👍🏻
Fantastic👍👍👍
так раздвинутый и поехал бы
