Loved jamming to 979 The Box Houston TX and hearing this Golden Jam on the way to school. I grew up in 2 neighborhoods: home was in North Side NE (predominately black area) and school life happened in my grandma, mom, dads parents original neighborhood South (East End/Second Ward). I loved being surrounded by 2 different home bases that built me and molded me into who I am today😊

Never heard this remix before in my life and I'm an expert on this genre of music. This must be something new.
I heard it before on her best of compilation, maybe it was released to certain channels back then.
If you went to dance clubs it was played a huge dance floor anthem in the early 90s .

What is the instrumental genre called? It reminds me of a funky 90s mall BGM, or like a fashion catwalk for some reason. I just imagine a montage of people trying on clothes, its half funky but half "normal" like it could be elevator music.
