  • Today I wanted to take you through a warm-up that I feel will activate your muscles and the blood flowing before you paddle out.
    This will not always be the same for everyone as we all have different body types, levels of fitness and strength. However, when you get to the back, you want to know that your muscles are warm and ready to get bodyboarding. This is my ultimate 5-minute bodyboard specific warm-up.

    The older I get the more time I spend warming up before a surf, definitely helps especially when the water gets colder too. 👌

    This is awesome! There really aren't enough videos that focus on stretching for bodyboarding specifically.
    Be interested in what you do for yoga, like an extended stretching routine rather then just the warm up.

      To be honest, I don’t do much stretching. If you want more stretching I’d suggest checking out Lewy Finnigan. He has put together so epic stretching courses and classes.

    Brilliant, thanks Ian as someone with a slight disability some really helpful tips, I'm actually doing physiotherapy at the moment and going to use some of these stretches. I always do a bit of stretching before a session. But great to know how to prep properly, never thought about neck. Gold!! 🤙
