Lol I may not fully agree with you, but on this occasion I do ! I remember when I use to study at Oxford university as an undergrad and would come across these sophisticated individuals from the humanities department and they’d always resort to to playing an intellectual ping pong match ; I wasn’t brilliant at this admittedly but I’d play along just to see where the arguments takes me and my interlocutor, but in hindsight they were never interested in understanding Tawheed, Islam or , at the very least , monotheism for that matter! Wallahi, take it from me, from my personal experience the more insufferably educated you think you are , the more unreceptive you will become in acknowledging the truth when it is presented to you as clear as day because, simply put, your arrogance gets the best out of you and you just cannot capitulate to the truth! LOL, I’ve personally seen more converts to Islam on street corners of a London than from these academic institutions! Take it for me! I studied in one of the worlds most prestigious universities, worked in one of the most prestigious investment Banking company (Goldman Sachs) Yet it is with great regret that I couldn’t even get a single person even remotely interested in Islam from these sophisticated institutions so to speak!

Akhi normally I would agree with you as I do on a lot of topics and rulings in regards to the deen. However, I went through a period of time when I was far away from the deen to the point of not practicing anymore for months. I felt lost because I had questions that I couldn't recieve answers to that sufficiently satisfied me. It was devastating to me to the point that I became desperate and asked and begged Allah in a dua to guide me back to the deen through a method by which he knew would work for me. Allah grant me understanding. I then watched hamza tzortis video on "Is life just a game?" and reading his articles from his website about evidences for the Quran being true and Islam as the truth. Wallah it brought me back to the deen with a much stronger foundation and clearer understanding. Along with other things as well, such as reflection on life and how life doesn't make sense without an Akhira amongst other things etc. I think "philosophical arguments" that have basis from the Quran does work such as the creation from nothing-causation argument. "Or were they created from nothing Or Did they create themselves? Or did they create the heavens and earth? Rather they are not certain". Though I will say did find the video enjoyable and hilarious. A lot of debates with "intellectuals" either in or just out of university simply enjoy the mental gymnastics of argumentation i feel and get a high of showing off their supposed intellect. The search for truth more often than not isn't there and is just a waste of time
Well said and we do not deny that Quraan and Sunnah based arguments are the way to go. Our issue is with people barely relying on that and go into a completely different wrold based on various philosophies until they lose their plot and the prophet's way in conveying Islaam.

This other day i saw a episode of "the Hot seat podcast" in the channel "Al Madrasatu Al Umariyyah" ( amazing channel, visit there) and Ustadh Abdurahman Hasan was talking about the Fitrah and he said that he found so amazing that Richard Dawkins, the most well know militant new Atheist stated exactly what the Fitrah is in Islam down to the point, this is from one of his debate. This really blowed my mind, these people are actively denying the Fitrah Allah gave them. Look what he states:

@@TheQuranExplainsItself philosophy is a vast term which some of its parts are based on reason and others on human delusions. The rules of logic is a greek construct which has it's limitations.
I know what red herring and absurdum argument is, my point is that these guys throw these words out like harry potter magic spells and many times just to say it like a deflection spell, while the argument still stands and it was not any red herring, absurdum argument or non sequitur and so on, they use these words like a spell book, they could've might as well said, I plead the fifth or no comments, or I don't know how to refute that argument, but instead they throw out latin words trying to sound smart and save face.

Assalum alaykum brother, some christians (like David Wood) are making the allegation that, because Allah says in the Quran that everything shall perish except His Face, they come and say that "Islam teaches that Allah's Hands and other Parts will perish but not His face", i.e. they claim that some parts of Allah are not eternal except His Face. Could you please make a video, or at least a quick comment over here, explaining to the people (including me) that verse and how it is to be understood that everything shall perish except Allah's Face. There aren't for people who are familiar with that field. The average person barely knows how to construct a sentence with no grammatical mistakes and using limited vocabulary. They will never know these words unless they have been exposed to these arguments.

I'd prefer to know both. Sometimes you need to speak the language the people understand. The prophets spoke the language people understood. Allah spoke the language the people of Mossa Alayhi Salaam understood, which is magic; Isa spoke the language the Jews understood, which is medicine and prophet Muhammad alayhi salaat wa salaam spoke the language of the Arabs, which is language itself.
I don't know the background of this video, just commenting on that specific statement you made.
The problem is such people don't speak that language. They just play around with it until they are successful in confusing you and your Deen, just like how he gave the example of playing ping pong. You on the other hand being sympathetic just try to convince them and in return agree with their twisted philosophies and bend Islam to adjust with it, losing your own faith. Such things are pretty unnecessary because Allah clearly said it is He who Guides. So if Allah chose not to Guide someone, then no matter how hard you choose to learn their language, you will never succeed. Hence our duty is to give the message. The rest is up to Allah whether he chose to Guide them or not.
@@casilasgoaler No, that's not what I meant. What I meant is using their own weapon against them. Know how to play their game better than them, break them with the thing they take pride in. Allah broke the Egyptians, the Jews and the Arabs overwhelming them at the thing they took most pride in. So for example, once the magicians saw what Allah allowed Moses to perform, they gave in and surrender their will to Allah's.
This is not for everyone to do, only people who have learned Islam and have firm imaan who should do this, not the masses or those who barely have any scholarly knowledge of Islam.
