What's also great about this Is that you don't need an all-out ultimate powerful extremely expensive system to play this game. I had no idea this much content existed I was only aware of what I played on the PS3 years ago
Il2 great battles isn't on console. You're likely thinking of il2 birds of prey, which is still a good game. In order to run VR in great battles with decent quality, you do actually need a very beefy system.
@@wateredmilk6089 There was one on the PS3 Way back when. I had it.... Can't remember what it was called though. It was the best WW2 simulation I ever played

You should have flown with larger number of planes/wingmen as you were easy prey for the German fighters covering the airfield on your way out. Also don't 'linger' over the target. Hit 'em hard and get the hell out of there.

I'm curious to know what's your flight simulator set up are? I have a quest 2 to feel immersive and the ease of moving my head around in IL2.
Do you have a video on controls set up using an XBOX controller in VR ?
How is the render quality in VR? Is it acceptable (in terms of antialiasing and pixel density etc) ? I really would like to fly WW2 warbirds in VR, I can do that in MFS but there are no dogfights there...
The render quality, as long as you have a good pc is very good and is enough to easily depict specific aircraft (of course this depends on the headset so I recommend looking into specific specs of headsets)
Could you try il-2 Cliffs of Dover?. Its abit dated but it has really impressive physics and a fully interactable cockpit
Looking at your set up of the IX before your flight, I’d recommend not using the Merlin 70 engine, it’s tuned for high altitudes (20,000+ feet), and the Merlin 66 that is in the aircraft by default is going to give you much better performance at the majority of altitudes that matter in Combat Box.

is the online pvp active with players really looking for some engaging pvp. I have givin up on DCS VR PVP.

Yes IL2 has the most active PvP servers for WW2 and has the best VR it is smooth like no other.
Looks great, however, you need a very expensive gaming PC to run the game and have it look this good.
How do you access controls in detail when you can’t see the keyboard??
You have the main controls you require bound to your H.O.T.A.S which is your Joystick and Throttle.
H.O.T.A.S - which is a Real World term, stands for Hands on Throttle and Stick, with the idea being for combat a Pilot would have all the essential switches available, without having to take their hands away from the controls. This means a Pilot could concentrate on where the Enemy Plane is at all times without having to look down into the cockpit for switches and dials. This idea of thinking was pioneered most famously by the F-16
Hola, estoy suscrito a tu canal y creo que tu me puedes ayudar con una pregunta.
En el juego il-2 sturmovik battle of stalingrad jugado con Realidad Virtual, me surgió el problema, de seguro. por algún botón que yo apreté y que no he vuelto a encontrar, de que quiero desplazar mi cabeza lateralmente dentro de la cabina a la izquierda o a la derecha y se mantiene fijada al centro, no pudiendo enfocar la mira, quedando fijada. ¿Con qué comando desbloqueo el desplazamiento lateral de mi cabeza?
Puedo mirar hacia algùn ala, hacia atràs, hacia arriba, pero cuando veo al frente y me intanto desplazar de lado, siempre mirando hacia el frente, la retìcula de la mira siempre sigue fijada hacia el centro.
Ademàs, si me intento acercar a esta o alejarme, se mantiene a una distancia fija también.
Por favor ayúdame.
